Cruz: Trump and Rubio side with Obama on gay marriage

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is accusing rivals Donald Trump and Marco Rubio of being on the same wavelength as President Obama when it comes to gay marriage.

Speaking at the South Carolina Values Summit at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., on Thursday, Cruz, not mentioning them by name, said that two rivals said last year they would adhere to the “law of the land,” though they oppose gay marriage, according to Politico.

“Those are the talking points of Barack Obama,” Cruz said.

He noted the Supreme Court’s ruling to legalize gay marriage nationwide was “lawless” and “will not stand.”
