Running for a political office is a potential — just not anytime soon, said one of the stars of the popular “Duck Dynasty” show, a Christian-based reality segment of one family’s rise to riches via an invention to aid hunters.
“I never rule anything out,” said Willie Robertson, addressing speculation of a congressional run for a Louisiana seat, The Hill reported.
A&E reported earlier this year that he was being called on to run for the seat.
“You know, it wasn’t too long ago we were just regular people and out there working,” he said, in The Hill. “I’m a small-business owner so a lot of those things affect me in politics.”
Mr. Robertson and his wife, Korie, were in Washington, D.C., this week for an event sponsored by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s Angels in Adoption, at the Ronald Reagan Building. The Robertsons have a child they adopted, and they were being recognized for their aid to families in need.
