Nine House Chairmen Endorse Donald J. Trump for President

by
May 15, 2016

Nine chairmen in the United States House of Representatives are putting their support behind Donald Trump.

Trump announced the endorsement on Facebook, listing the members who support him for president:

Steve Chabot (Small Business), Michael Conaway (Agriculture), Jeb Hensarling (Financial Services), Candice Miller (House Administration), Jeff Miller (Veterans’ Affairs), Tom Price (Budget), Pete Sessions (Rules), Bill Shuster (Transportation and Infrastructure), and Lamar Smith (Science, Space and Technology).

“We stand on the precipice of one of the most important elections of our lifetime. This great nation cannot endure eight more years of Democrat-control of the White House,” the chairmen wrote in a statement of their endorsement. “It cannot afford to put Democrats in charge of Congress. It is paramount that we coalesce around the Republican nominee, Mr. Donald J. Trump, and maintain control of both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.”

  • Gary Smith

Trump is not a good choice but he sure beats Hillary

  • pmbalele

Paul Ryan is pathological liar. Ryan lied in 2012 that Obama was responsible for closing the GM plant in Janesville Wisconsin in 2008. Obama was not the president in 2008. No doubt Romney/Ryan ticket lost in 2012. Both are hypocrites and liars.

    • Nina

Never been a fan of his! Actually don’t like him at all! He looks like one of those little trolle with the hair sticking up in the air! You know what I’m talking about? I was so oissed when he was practically b gaged to take the Speakership! I do remember one of the stipulations was that he couldn’t be asked to step down like Weepy. I always wondered if congress went along with that one. That would be really bad. I know I spent half my life trying to get rid of Boehner! Wouldn’t hesitate with troll boy!

      • pmbalele

Watch out. Repubs and TPs males are after beautiful women like you. You better hide when you’re among them.

        • Nina

I would actually make a fantastic VP!! Very outspoken and definitely well aware of current events! Just don’t have tolerance for stupidity so that may be my downfall! My husband always told me I should run for office! Lol.

  • Miyako

very True Nina. Paul Ryan Supports AMNESTY For illegally Entered “Foreign Nationals” to America. he Supports INCREASED VISA’S For Low Skilled Foreign Nationals To America. Who never Return to there homeland. He is a RINO And a Neo-Con Republican. The Ones Who Should be eliminated From The GOP.

  • Bill Cash

It comes down to two choices. We can continue with another four years of the same garbage OR TAKE A CHANCE on something NEW. As an independent I’m for taking the chance.

  • mustang6984

And thus begins the coming to senses of the party “leaders”.

Trump was NOT my choice either…not even my 3rd choice. But…he has pretty well led the run since day one…and thus…given the choice of him or Billary the PATHOLOGICAL LIAR…it is a no-brainer…I will be voting for Mr. Trump.

  • jimamrhein

In My Opinion, Not That Mr. Trump Is My Favorite Among The Potential Candidates, He Is The Man Who Won. To SAVE OUR NATION WE ALL MUST UNITE & STAND BEHIND HIM!!!!! Jim

  • OBAMAHATER4SURE

The first thing that has to happen is for the leadership of the house & senate to grow a pair of BALLS & have Both OBUMMER & KILLARY arrested for the more than 100 treasonous events that they have both been a part of #1 is the murders of 4 men in our embassy over in Libya while they both watched on T.V. in the situation room when there were 2 c-130 gunships less than 2 hours away in that country which would have been no problem for those gunships to wipe out all the enemy. but they both knew that if the word ever got out that they were selling guns & ammo to the repel ISIS troops in Syria they would both be in for major problems, well in my opinion the time has come for the big problem to raise it head and arrest them both, try them, convict them & hang them from the highest tree in Washington D.C.
I would hang OBUMMER with a rope 10 foot short of the ground and show him what beheading was really all about. OBUMMER is really a MUZSLIME and that’s what most of the trouble has been about he won’t admit that he is a Queer Muzslime even though the citizens of this country all know it.

MAY GOD BLESS THIS COUNTRY IF KILLARY IS ELECTED AND WE GET A MINIMUM OF 4 MORE YEARS OF OBUMMER POLICIES WHICH ARE HATEFUL 7 AND MOSTLY UNCONSITIUTIONAL AND PERVERTED.
IF THIS STATEMENT MAKES ME A RACIST I AM PROUD TO BE ONE.

  • Patriot47

ALL for show. skippy will NEVER permit an (s)election if he can postpone it and stay king/queen/whatever.

  • Don Barnett

    JUST PATRIOTS.
The political turmoil within this country is as great now as it was prior to the American Revolution. Today the majority of voters who actually know anything at all about the issues, are more or less conservative on most issues, whether they define themselves that way or not. What we are witnessing is an uprising of PATRIOTS. The founders of this nation of, by, and for the people; the men and women who had the courage to commit treason in the eyes of the ruling establishment… branded themselves as “patriots.” On close examination some of them today would have agreed with the most liberal among us on some issues, and others would have been considered as extreme right wing conservatives… on other issues. The most important issues then, and now, are just too complicated to say anyone is either liberal or conservative, except on particular facets of that issue. What all of our founding fathers had in common with those of us who love our country and our fellow citizens, is that they / we are PATRIOTS.
Let us not forget we are in a struggle to preserve our nation. We are in a struggle to prevent our society of free people from sliding off the edge of the cliff and into the dustbin of failed nations. We are too close to the edge for comfort. The opposition are ones who want to “fundamentally change” America, meaning to make our country a place that has no freedoms but those the governing powers grant. If that happens we will not have to concern ourselves with regulations about who immigrates here, for no one will want to come here. No one will want to live here. We must quit being extremists who are unwilling to allow PATRIOTISM to rule. We must quit insisting that our candidates agree with every detail of the way “I” would do things if “I” we’re in charge.
We still have free elections. In the United States we still can publicly support and vote our choice. Naturally candidates for any office feel they can do a better job or they would not seek that office. And it’s just fine for them to enumerate why they think they are the better candidate. But if office seekers refuse to recognize the will of the voters, and if the voters refuse to recognize the resulting nominees, our nation of, by, and for the people is over. Anyone who will not recognize the will of the people when elections are held is not a PATRIOT. It matters not if Trump is your candidate of choice. To participate in the election process, then refuse to abide by the results, makes you a turncoat to the process of free elections. What are you? Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a PATRIOT?

  • keepyourpower

The last paragraph is so true!

  • Frankie Boy

You idiot Repubs try to run an independent against Donald, I swear I’ll never vote for a Republican again !!!

    • empty pockets

Silly wabbit…what are you, Frankie boy…FIVE? There will be plenty of other choices. There always are.

As for whether you ever vote Republican again…that’s always been entirely up to you. If you think dems do such a bang up job then vote for them. If you don’t but you want to cut off your nose–and everyone else’s because you’re mad…grow up. Or stay home and pout.

  • bygeorge

There hangs in the political air, like a stink bomb after a Democrat rally, the still detectable odor that plans are afoot to deny Donald Trump the prize. It lies like a tripwire in the RNC rules for running a political convention. Political parties are private associations and as such are free to set their own rules. It’s the process and, individually, we sign on or we do not.

One RNC committeeman, Mr. Curley Haughland, from ND, who sits on the party’s rules committee, specifically said, “that it’s a vote of the delegates at the convention to determine if there’s a majority (of delegate votes) for a candidate, not the primary vote (of the people in a party, or crossovers) that will decide who becomes the party’s nominee. In other words, political parties choose their nominee, not the general public. So, beware the Ides of July!

A Politico writer, Erick Trickey, wrote: “incredibly, Republicans at the highest level can’t quite dismiss Mr. Haugland’s arguments. Even last week, after RNC Chairman Reince Priebus declared Trump to be the presumptive nominee, Priebus still couldn’t bring himself to dismiss the possibility that the convention could nominate someone other than Trump.”

I can not argue against the premise posed here that says Trump still needs 1237 delegates to actually become the nominee for the GOP, but I can see danger if the now aroused conservative base feel that they’ve been screwed again by political hacks in it for their own power and profit. Most people don’t care about party rules, they care about constantly getting shafted by GOP politicians helping Obama take America down.

This brings up another often missed point. Now, the media will have us believe, with a certainty, that Donald Trump will be the GOP’s nominee. Maybe not so! Is this the left’s cunning plan to destroy the Republican Party by building up the presumption of Trump’s inevitability then helping dash those hope’s when the “Party” still selects it’s preferred milquetoast candidate on the pretext of delegate count?

Once upon a time, people accepted the “divine rights of Kings,” a right bestowed by God, they argued, for why a person or family could rule over other people within a specific state or principality. Whether necessary or not, neighbor states were attacked and the people went along because the King said so. That’s not so today but the idea of the divine right to rule has been usurped by mere political hacks who spend their entire careers profiting from their ability to put into office their own creatures as kings, so to speak.

The GOP is at a tipping point. Lacking a King, by divine right, political parties have formed to relieve the masses of the dreary burden of leadership through the democratic process of group think (electioneering). When that process has narrowed the field of candidates to one who has the charisma to entice voters to his side and still maintain the smooth functioning of the money spigots that keep the party’s in power, he then becomes the chosen king. It’s not Trump! For the GOP, the crisis lies in the fact it’s all going to come apart if it’s not Trump.

The people no longer trust the process, no longer trust the party’s leadership and will view any act of manipulation of the voters desires, rules or not, a treachery that will spell doom for the Republican party. America’s is in chaos brought to us by an evil ideology based in fascism that demands the compliance of its citizens. The Republican party has done nothing to stem the tide. That’s why the Donald!

Empty is just that empty. He will likely whine later. Let us remind him of his choice. Fools of the far right and followers of the self righteous conservative extremism.

          • empty pockets

That whine you hear is your Orange clown who bragged on CNN that yes, he whines until he gets his way. Conservatism is not extremist which you would know if you had a clue.

Here’s my choice: I WILL vote. I will NOT vote for any democrats even those with an R after their name like Donald. See, dimwit…I need no assistance from you in being “reminded’ of my choice.

        Your Choice…

        • empty pockets

No Trump or his co-conspirator in influence peddling. He will lose the Senate majority. He will threaten, perhaps even lose the House majority. Way to “save America”…not.

          • raffaelecafagna

            I see sanders …………………………

          • SDofAZ

Think you are right. Either Sanders or Hillary or a write in for Cruz or just an no show. Any way he goes he represents a far right view and I am tired of the whining, malcontent, nasty behaviors. At least this one has not called us all low thinkers yet. What arrogance.

          • Ken says

Are you talking the Establishment Majority? With 20+ RINOs in the Senate – the 1% Liberal Elite Establishment has been in control for the last 28 years and have selected their candidate for President in both Parties for the last 28 years. WAKE UP!!

      • Ken says

It’s good to see someone that is happy with the last 28 years and looking forward to 8 more with Hillary the Tramp.
Trump vs the Tramp – TRUMP 2016

        • empty pockets

Your straw man is so tattered, it should embarrass you. You should leave him in the cornfield.

BTW–man-whore Trump is the “tramp”. She is his co-conspirator and an unindicted career criminal. She enabled another “tramp”.

I’ve been fighting this entrenched establishment excrement for decades. I didn’t enable it then and will not now.

          • Ken says

OMG – empty pockets go all the way up to the drained brain. You should know where straw men come from, look around, you are in a wheat field. At least you know where your leader comes from – yup – the cornfield where scarecrows are made. Now you and your merry band skip down the yellow brick road so you don’t do any more damage to yourself.

          • empty pockets

You sound as senseless as your “dear leader”. But at least YOU speak in sentences. You have no idea who I consider my “leader”…LOL It sure isn’t the Great Pumpkin criminal enabler nor the unindicted career criminal. You Trumpsters are so cute when you try to pretend you use your brains.

          • Ken says

Happy to see you still have a sense of humor – I hope you still have it if you enable Hillary and she slips you her dildo.

          • empty pockets

She’s a vicious and greedy harpy but at least SHE took nukes “off the table” for use in Europe and doesn’t consider the fricking National Enquirer a “trusted news source”. And your idol has done more than his share of screwing the little people for a “private” citizen.

          • Ken says

empty pockets must be a progressive disorder that effect the whole person – as yours moved up – the brain drain was a complete success.

          • empty pockets

From the progressive handbook: When you have nothing of substance or intelligence to say, go straight to insults.

I see you’re following it to he letter.

          • Ken says

No insult – just a Constitutional Government Conservative observing.

          • empty pockets

A Constitutional Gov’t conservative would see that the only difference between the two is he lies better…and even more frequently.

Donald will also yank more authority and autonomy away from the states as he, too, will seek to accumulate and consolidate more power for the Executive–himself. He will use eminent domain in ways never imagined or intended by the founders. Asset forfeiture, censorship, expanding fed gov’t…things we would expect from her, we can also expect from him. BOTH will deliver them. SHE would have the GOP which remain opposing her. HE would have them jumping on his train so they get theirs, too. Yet one of them will likely be the next POTUS. Whichever one it is, they will get there without my Constitutional conservative vote.

          • Ken says

Good for you – being part of the solution takes balls – being part of the problem is just whining.

  • WeirOnlyHuman

There are still some bonehead voters who claim to be Republicans, but say they won’t vote for Trump. Those are the same boneheads that allowed Obama to have 2 terms in office and almost completely destroy this country. If the aforementioned boneheads continue along the same path we’ll have Hillary for 8 years and there’ll be no going back. By the time she’s finished our nation will have opened the borders for tens of millions of illegal immigrants from all over the world, all of whom will quickly be pronounced legal and all of whom will become Democrats.

  • DrBillLemoine

Former Speaker Boehner caved to the Tea Party extremists and appointed those chairmen who now as Tea Party and Freedom Caucus darlings support extremist Trump. It’s not surprising that fascists support fascist Trump. All his issues against women, war hero McCain, Muslims, anti-Trump demonstrators at his rallies simply demonstrates his extremism and fascist leanings, just like the Tea Party of 2010. No thanks!

    • mudguy1

Just another person that knows nothing about the Tea Party.

      • DrBillLemoine

Do you deny the truth of what I wrote? Say something on the issue.

          15 Non-negotiable Core Beliefs

          1. Illegal aliens are here illegally.

          3. A strong military is essential.

          4. Special interests must be eliminated.

          8. Deficit spending must end.

          9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal.

          10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must.

          11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory.

          12. Political offices must be available to average citizens.

          13. Intrusive government must be stopped.

          14. English as our core language is required.

          15. Traditional family values are encouraged.

          • DrBillLemoine

Where did you get this list? It’s an amalgam of simple truths, conservative wishes, misunderstandings about government, selfish desires, anti-American aims, and authoritarian dreams. There’s much misunderstanding of rights, government, Americanism, finance, military strength, personal responsibility and more. That’s the problem with Teapublicans, they’re all over the board with much inconsistency. And where does any of this give Trump anything but positions that will earn him a defeat in November. It’s more the tactics of those chairmen and your party that are anti-American. Government shutdowns, authoritarian family men, anarchy of posse comitatus, cheapness, ignorance of our military status, misreading of public sentiment, and much more. No sane person could follow all of those 15 items taken altogether and the cost in dollars and American ethos would be staggering.

          • empty pockets

Thank you. A nice, neat and succinct list of common sense, constitutional principles. As an actual conservative (and one who joined my first ever protest in ’09) I appreciate it and you.

We’ve allowed the enemies of conservatism and ‘tea party’, etc. to define who we are and we haven’t loudly enough corrected the record. We let them get away with it and now most haven’t a clue what any of it really means.

          • mudguy1

Yes it is sad that too many of our young people really have not been taught in our schools our true history and our Constitution. And saddest is that we have too leaders in Congress that will not follow the Constitution and I think many have not even read it.

          • SDofAZ

But empty is not for Trump only the true conservative who is not longer there.

          • mudguy1

Are you saying that only the true Conservative is for Trump?

          • empty pockets

Sadly, I think it’s more than just our young people who have never read the Constitution. I’m certain many adults as well as youth have zero understanding of it, its principles and its immense value. As conservatives, it’s up to us to educate now. We know we can’t leave it to others or keep thinking they know what we’re talking about. They clearly do not anymore than they know what capitalism really is, how it works and why it’s a GOOD economic system for the greatest number of people. They’ve been misinformed that what we now have in the cronyism, the institutiionalized corruption is what capitalism looks like. Big job ahead of us, Mudguy.

Obviously not the majority though as proved by the primary!

      • mudguy1

Yes most states he got less than 50% of the vote.

  • Pamela Rich

First and most importantly the Republican Party has not been Conservative for a long time. For those of us who have voted for the last 40 or more years and been “awake” we are more and more aware of this basic and simple truth. The Democratic Party of today were what was considered Socialist/Communist Party back then and the Republican Party of today is what was considered the Democratic Party back then. This is why the term Conservative started being used by many years ago and should actually be a Party of their own. It is past time for those of us who have a grain of common sense to realize many of us put little to no faith in what the “Media” state, we look at the actual facts of the actions themselves. Journalist are no longer employed by most “Media” sources. What was to be reported when I took Journalism was simple, “Who, What, Where, When, How, and Why” and the only place personal opinion was offered was on the Editor Page or talk show. If, for any reason, the Media had any real affect and effected how any person voted then the actions of people such as Hillary Clinton would be enough of a reason to “Not Vote” for that individual ever. This game of “suspending campaigns” which has been a part of the system for some time should be viewed with a narrow eye by all and this idea that delegate votes, which do not support the voice of the majority of voters, should have been done away with long ago if the Parties really were nominating the voice of the people. I agree with Musician man. Ronald did not have the support of the Republican Party but during his administration far more good than bad was actually accomplished. It is the party itself which has set itself up to fail by not vetting the Candidates running on it’s ticket.

    • KKmoderate

Thank you, Pamela, for taking the time to pen a thoughtful and relevant message. I read through these discussions to educate myself and sometimes I wonder if I’m I’ve wandered onto a grade school playground. Your comment is a “beacon of light” in a depleted, intellectual milieu.

      • Pamela Rich

You’re most welcome. I wonder the same thing you wonder sometimes. I get frustrated with some of the comments made because I have to question how much attention the people who are responding have really paid to what has been the up until the last 8 years (when the final steps were put into play) the true erosion of our nation into abandoning the The Bill of Rights and Constitution itself. Agenda 21, Common Core, etc. and my very favorite “Politically Correct” which in and of itself is an oxymoron if you think about it for a minute.

    • raffaelecafagna

Thank you ; you speak like an Open Book ; very well said .

      • Pamela Rich

Thank you. We need to stop supporting these worthless Parties and their practices. The Whigs and Tories were replaced, this idea that if you are not a Dem or a Repub you cannot run on a primary ballot needs to be abolished by all states. Anyone who can garner the signatures and wants to run for the office should be allowed to do so on the primary ballot. It might stop a lot of this nonsense and integrity would again be required of the Party a candidate chooses to run for and the individuals a Party would allow to run under their “title”.

        • raffaelecafagna

These worthless parties and Their practices with The ” Never Trump movement ” are what I call the Good Old Boys Club .
The Good Old Boys Club : YOU Politicians are part of the GOOD OLD BOYS CLUB . You Politicians You talk big, but You won`t change anything. YOU are all controlled by the big-money donors. These nine are to be congratulated for putting our country first. I am 100% more of a conservative than Cuban or Romney as I feel they are liberals. Why would anyone consider people who only want to stop Trump not win themselves be considered unless you are someone like Mr. Phony Bill Kristol.
I was for Huckabee in the end for Cruz, it is over Mitt Romney is a Malcontent a spoiler a liberal phony. Mark Cuban could have a beer with him but not as President. I am so ashamed of voting for Romney (held my nose of course).

    • SDofAZ

Too bad the senate is full of rino losers. Can you see Lindsay, Cruz, McCain, Flakey, etc. backing Trump unless he acquieses to their petty self serving demands? That is their play and anyone who does not understand that right up front is foolish or naive. Everyone of them has a big business donor or many demanding amnesty and visa cheapies. That is what has driven the dem lemmings and the self serving lying rinos all. Vote em out. Ward is running against McCain and the dem in AZ. Vote Ward and let us rid ourselves of the old rino, McCain. Then Flakey in 2018. Vote em out!

        So tough and so correct

  • James

The only way the GOP can ever win back its credence in the eyes of true conservatives is to back Trump in this election. To not do so is to sign their own death warrant. The GOP; via the establishment RINO’s, has created much distrust among many conservatives, Paul Ryan being a prime example! First things first; win back the ‘favor’ of the American public, then real and significant change from the top down. WE need representatives who will abide by the will of the majority, not the whims of a malignant and aggressive minority! With the Dems pushing for perversion of every form, the time is right for a major turn around in the deteriorating character of this nation!

    • Linda Hawk

The truth is just the opposite. Trump will destroy the conservative movement because all of his mistakes will be blamed on the conservatives by the media even though Trump is NOT one. Of course, I doubt you are a conservative anyway. If the Republicans loose it will be because of their stupid “open primary” rules. What a bunch of dummies!

      • I understand your concerns, but if delusional folks like you let Hillary win, you can kiss the USA goodbye. This is how slick Willie started us downhill in the first place. People silly enough to split the conservative vote to Ross Perot as a third-party candidate.

        • empty pockets

You should stick to your music but only if you’re at least a bit more knowledgeable on it than Donald. When Bret Baier asked Donald a question about whether he supported or opposed the Iran deal, he gave 7 different “positions”/answers in 30 seconds! Gotta be a record.

So no, you do NOT understand her or my or any other “delusional” #NeverTrump’s concerns. (Just HAD to throw in an insult didn’t you.)They are based on facts you seem to be blocking out. He is not a conservative now nor has he ever been. Most Republicans now are also not conservatives though they may hold a couple of conservative positions. Conservatives believe that first, preserve the Constitution and work within its limits. We are distancing ourselves from Trump so he will not burn down conservatism (the ideology embraced by the constitution) with the RNC.

He and she are near identical twins in too many destructive ways though his suits are nicer.

          • I think your last sentence displayed the depth of your “knowledge” factor quite sufficiently, Mr. empty pockets, if that is all the difference you can discern between DT and HRC. If enough folks with your delusional “all or nothing at all” mentality hand the election to the first female Adolph Hitler in waiting, Billary, forget the empty pockets, you’ll be an empty suit.

          • empty pockets

Your orange idol is another fascist, “Hitler” type. He even has a book of Adolph’s speeches in his bedside table for late night reading…after his fever-swamp tweets, apparently. I have numerous problems with Donald far beyond the several I had with others like Romney and even McCain. They were actual Republicans and had at least a few true conservative positions which they stuck with, unlike Donald who’s all over the place.

“All or nothing”? No, that would be you people. We are to swallow ALL of Trump’s BS, lies and wandering thoughts as though from a god, overlook his multitude of flaws or WE are to blame for all bad that may/will happen? No, YOU will be. Instead of your idol even trying to “win” us over, he and you all bully and threaten. I’m not impressed. I’m not intimidated. And I’m still not voting for him because he does not WANT my vote, says he can win without it. So let him.

          • empty pockets

            No…we’ve all lost.

          • I voted for Dr. Ben Carson in the Republican primary. Still, clearly Trump is the far, far, far lesser of the two evils we are left with (there is no true comparison to the insidious evil that is Billary and Slick Willie). It is amazing how folks who say they are “Conservative” or even Christian will come up with rationales that enable the clearly far worse choice of their two perceived evils to advance unimpeded, while they claim they are standing on some principle that obviously leads to far worse outcomes. A stay at home vote from someone like that is a vote for Billary. They are VERY similar to the believed to be 3 million folks who held their nose and vote for the obvious clownish Romney and did not go to the polls, yet allowed the far greater evil obama to sneak back into the WH to continue the final unbelievable evil we see emerging ever since. The insidious Hillary will continue that very destructive agenda of the USA if she can with help from folks who don’t vote against her. Just her supreme court justice selections alone will be horrendous, in addition to her hidden lesbian and communist agendas.

          • mudguy1

So do you call hiring a person the worked for George Soros the right person?

      • used_to_be_a_liberal

Linda, the conservative movement/party has destroyed itself when it stopped doing what the people wanted. There is another problem, and that problem is the less then 20% of the so-called self-righteous religious right, who conceder themselves to be the only conservatives, or better conservatives then anyone else. That is a pretty high horse to fall from, especially when confronted a number of them begin to quote from scripture. 80% of the population conceder themselves to be Christian, but when they hear the bible thumping from the less then 20% minority of the self righteous, they get turned off, many have voted democrat because they believed that “liberal” means LIBERAL, most are waking up to the fact that it means no such thing, but apart from that, the fear that created by the media as to how restrictive “conservatives” are, how they come down hard on choice etc… pushes people mistakenly to the democrats.
Glen Beck’s constant rampage against Trump, Beck’s spins, and half truths in regards to Trump, and his prayer sessions with Cruz, had a lot do with Cruz’s defeat, especially when Cruz pulled some of the stunts he did, giving the perception of being a hypocrite.
Cruz would not have won the presidency. One commercial, depicting him descending from the clouds wearing a halo, carrying a bible in one hand, and a book of rules in the other, would have sunk him. He would have become a media cartoon.
I know that you and others are not going to like what I just said, but like they say, it is what it is.
The enemy is not the people who move to the conservative side, it is the left, the Hilda-Beast, Commie Bernie, and the left-wits. Millions of Democrats will be voting for trump, as the see the danger that these people pose for the country, and that is far more important then a few pet issues, that can be taken care of later to a certain degree.

        • SDofAZ

So true what you have said. Linda represents the far right. I use to believe I was a conservative but now I know I am a moderate! The Cruz crusaders drove anyone like me out of that category most definitely and the political obfuscating and avoidance of Cruz just like the politician he is finished my view of the crusaders. As you have noted, they turned me off like a light bulb. And now I see them as whiners and malcontents as the rinos have set them up to be. Foolish people so galvanized in their righteous dignity for a pretend conservative. Cruz has sided with the rinos and these folks refuse to see the obvious. He and every rino establishment candidate are ALL refusing to endorse Trump. The reason is obvious, they do not control him and are seeking to find a way to get some sort of controls over him. Hard to believe this is still so obviously a manipulation tactic. The rinos in their arrogance are utterly disgusting, Cruz included!

          • used_to_be_a_liberal

            thanks

        • Reasoned thinker

used_to_be_a_liberal — once again, you have made many VERY GOOD points, as you fully support some extremely important positions. It’s almost maddening how conservative people consistently seem to permit themselves to be “pigeonholed” by the “left,” as religious fanatics. Somehow, that portrayal seems to be very effective against conservatives (us) . . . largely because conservatives don’t choose to . . . or don’t know how to . . . push back against such fraudulent stuff!!!!

I totally agree with your conclusions that Cruz would NEVER have been able to secure the Presidency . . . the “prayer sessions,” you (very skillfully) describe with Beck certainly DID help defeat Cruz. Couple that, of course, with the impression A LOT of people have that he (Cruz) is a “smarmy” kind of guy anyway. Beck has simply “gone off the deep end,” with respect to Trump. I really don’t get that drift . . . I simply avoid listening to Beck at all anymore. His tripe should really be taken off the airwavesl

Cruz soon would have become the subject of MUCH ridicule!!! Cruz is laughable anyway ………….. and that ad with him coming down from the cloud was memorable.

          Go Trump 2016

          • Jeanne Stotler

My thought, IF ALL these career politicians, backers etc. are against Donald Trump, then being FOR HIM must be the right way to turn our country back to what our forefathers ( and there were some of mine) FOUGHT AND DIED FOR.

            and thank you too

        • empty pockets

The “conservative movement/party”…there is a Conservative Party, you know. It is separate from the Republican Party. The conservative movement (aka-tea party among other monikers) has been participating in the Republican Party because they USED to embrace conservative principles at least in word but not deed. The GOP-e has been working to get rid of conservatives and their policies since before Reagan. Trump is giving them their wish. We didn’t fight to keep the GOP-e and the left (in office and all media) from redefining conservatism the way they now define “marriage” or “tolerance” or any of the other things they feared, wanted to destroy and so purposefully “rebranded” as something it never was. Your own misunderstanding demonstrates that.

The Republican Party destroyed itself and its credibility by betraying its voters. They made promises to get votes, promises they had no intention of even trying to keep to the people.
Then they ignored us and made awful “deals” with those we opposed, those they said THEY opposed. LIES.

Just as the left has their far left–enviro-wackos, BLM, etc.–so, too the right has their far right–the ‘evangelicals’, etc. It’s a perfect reason why a Constitutional Conservative would be the best choice for America for he/she would preserve the right of all of them to speak their piece in peace with preference for none at the federal gov’t level. He/she would advance policies which would grow the economy, lower taxes (putting more of YOUR money back in YOUR pocket) and continue to raise more people out of poverty than any other economic or political system ever has.

I don’t know what we’ll get this time, a sociopathic, greedy, unindicted career criminal or her quasi-sociopathic, narcissistic, greedy, long time “good friend” and co-conspirator/enabler. Neither have any relationship with the Constitution, conservatism or even the truth. There aren’t any conservatives on either “side” now.

          • James

While I completely agree with your assessment: that we need a Constitutional Conservative, the major problem is that, There are not enough votes to win such an office for the upcoming election. And if the Dems. win; there will never be another chance. They have destroyed far too much of the constitution thus far, and if they gain the opportunity to set another liberal Justice on the Supreme Court, what is left of The Constitution will be history. This is why all conservatives; no matter what their conservative values revolve around, need to back D. Trump.
As I have stated elsewhere; I was not a Trump supporter from the start, but I am not so self blinded as to not recognize that the Dems. will win if the ‘conservative’ vote is divided! And if they win there will be no turning back. America will have been lost.

      • SDofAZ

You are wrong Linda and I suppose a Cruz crusader. As noted it is folks like you who will give us Hillary. Trump is far better than the democrat candidate and you know it.

        • empty pockets

Trump is just a different democrat candidate and an establishment insider.

Time to stop sounding like Lying, Whining, Crying, Losing Cruz and at least make the first step toward stopping the destruction of the USA. I don’t know what you call a Conservative but as a Constitutional Government Conservative and a Christian I am taking the first step to change the direction of this Country. If you are happy with the last 28 years and want more of the same Hillary will give you that. For the first time in 28 years the voters have a choice – not a candidate for each Party selected by the Establish that regardless of who wins will continue the Establishments Liberal Progressive Agenda. – It’s your choice.

We seem to have chummed the waters and drawn plenty of Trump’s remoras.

You’re right about what Trump would do to conservatism. He’ll do the same to the RNC but they brought it on themselves.

“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.” Alexander Hamilton

      • Don Barnett

Look what happened the last two elections, when establishment milk toast candidates are nominated. No one turns out to vote. If another establishment good old boy like Romney or Bush steps up to the plate… Even though he might have really been a really good leader, the liberals will win again. Can our nation survive this slide into depravity the liberal, establishment is determined to impose? It is past time for us to get serious and elect someone who is not afraid to make drastic changes.

      • Jerry

I’m getting more than a little P—-off at Republicans talking about Trump being not a conservative. I haven’t heard from the Conservative party with the same concerns, what’s up with that???????
If the republicans are concerned about Trump being conservative, where have they been for the past 8 years????

    • mudguy1

Wrong the only way the GOP will ever win back the trust is to get rid of the Rino leadership starting with RNC, Priebus and majority leader McConnell.

    • Niko

Ryan is a two faced, conniving dirtbag. A true RINO in every respect.

      • JBM

totally agree, good for the nine that have endorced Trump & they didn’t even need Ryan’s permission….awe too bad Paul – see your not all that after all.

        • Nina

Haha ain’t that the truth! Ryan is definitely not all that!

          • pmbalele

Nina, you’re wasting your time. Trump really planning to drop out of the nomination because he does not want to be bothered releasing his Tax Returns. This follows after Mitt Romney said Trump would not qualify if he does not release his tax return. You GOPers bashed Romney when he refused to release his tax returns in 2012. The guy had fled with his money to Swiss banks i.e. his money was creating jobs in Switzerland instead here for his fellow Americans. Romney then was laughing at fellow Americans that they were lazy and loafers. Trump has had it. He is planning to quit the GOP WH nomination. It is Romney who will take over. GOPers cannot nominate Cruz because he is a foreigner-no eligible for the WH job. Now you GOPers, Prepare for Hillary as president.

          • sassy frasse

PMBALELE YOU MUST BE AN IDIOT. TRUMP IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE BUT THE WHITE HOUSE. POOP ON ROMNEY.

          • Nina

            Well said!! Haha!!

          • pmbalele

I have told Nina to start taking her Aspirin before Trump drops out. Are you going to vote for your friend Romney? Romney wants polygamy in the WH. If elected he would have all his 5 kids and their family in the WH. That means there will be about 50 people for the WH to feed. You’re lucky Romney lost the election last time around. I hope you are not going to vote for Romney if Trump bails out. Please vote for Hillary – a true American girl and angel- but tough.

          • Eleanor Cummings

Hillary as President? You’re kidding right? Your elevator can’t get past the first floor – no lights on. Hilary’s Presidency? Holy Toledo!
She will spend four to eight years auditing conservatives who opposed her (some RINOS didn’t.),
She will strip pro-freedom groups of their tax-exempt status
She will curb everyone’s freedom of speech.
She will grab the guns of law-abiding citizens (but the criminal element will always have them).
She will raise taxes, make new laws, do E.O.’s like Obama does so she can fill he pockets of her Big Labor pals, starting with the teachers’ unions who are systematically “down-dumbing” our kids)..
She will order liberal lawyers across the federal bureaucracy to sue “global-warming” skeptics under the anti-Mafia RICO statute, (as U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch says she has “discussed” and “referred to the FBI.” Sixteen Democrat state attorneys general already are suing those who refuse to genuflect before the “global warming” altar.)
She will prosecute those who argue that the Laffer curve mirrors economic reality, school choice educates children, and abortion murders them.
She will have her leftist lawyers double down on Obama’s crusade to strip college men of due process when liars accuse them of sexual harassment or rape on campus.
She will will nominate left-wing federal judges to high-five all of this — until death do them part.
Remember the Supreme Court seat so unexpectedly vacated by the late Antonin Scalia? She will nominate former Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz to the Supremes. Conversely, she could reward Obama for keeping her unindicted by tapping him to occupy Scalia’s chair — for life.
(Assuming that vacuum persists, Trump might fill it with federal appellate judge Janice Rogers Brown, Arizona supreme-court justice Clint Bolick, or U.S. senator Mike Lee (R., Utah). There is zero chance that Hillary even would glance at the résumés of these committed constitutionalists.)
Thus, on Election Day, I will pull the lever for Donald J. Trump for president. He is the only thing standing between America and the woman who would turn our exceptional country into Cristina Kirchner’s Argentina, if we are lucky, or Hugo Chávez’s Venezuela, if we are not.

Would you really vote for Trump/Newt ticket. Do you know what Newt did to his ex-wife. Newt divorced his wife on cancer operating table. Newt wanted to marry a office girl. Talking about morals and family values! Trump and Newt share sins not values.

Would you vote for Hillary/ whoever ticket? Did you know Bill was getting a BJ from someone his daughters age while Hillary was off doing 1st lady work ( whatever that was ).
Then she trashed Monica & all the other women who accused Bill , BUT then changed her tune when the same type of allegations where brought against Bill Cosby.
So which Hillary is the BELIEVEABLE one, the one who defended her husband & TRASHED all HIS accusers , or the Hillary who said ALL the Cosby accusers should be BELIEVED.

I want a woman president bc I think we could really kick butt!!! However………This woman, will bring down this country even faster than its going now!! Not to mention she shouldn’t even be running!! She should be getting indicted!! For soooo many things!! But her boss man isn’t going to do it bc then he’d be in jail also!! It’s a mess! Women need to wake up! Our sisters will be the ones that bring this country down if they don’t!!

          • CharlieSeattle

            I agree.

          • mustang6984

You are a sad excuse for a human being.

          • Eleanor Cummings

I get it now. You’re one of Killery’s new batch of paid trolls. LOL

          • pmbalele

No. I am paid nothing. I just like Bill and Hillary. I want them to take over from our living Saints-Michelle and Barack. These are living Saints.

          • GovernmentTramplesRights

The reason Trump doesn’t want to turn over his tax returns is because he pays zero or close to zero taxes, and is most certainly at a tax rate far lower than the average American, which is something the mainstream press will exploit to the Nth degree.
This is just how it is when you’re a real estate developer/investor. You may have a lot of net worth, and a lot of assets, but being in construction and as a real estate owner, you reinvest the vast majority of your income, and that generates minimal taxable income, and then… yiou deduct against that minimal taxable income all the depreciation on all the real estate you’ve bought, and your taxable income is or near zero.
ANYBODY that has ever owned a rental piece of real estate understands this… that depreciation offsets cash income, and he’s got TONZ of real estate–so perfectly legal and normal for a big real estate developer/investor/property owner.

          • Nina

I like your answer. Sounds like it makes sense to me. That’s why he said to whoever he was speaking to, can’t recall now, none of your business. Bc he knows if he does they will never shut up! He needs YOU GovernmentTramplesRights to explain this to everyone!! You are quite good at it!!

          • Eleanor Cummings

            Huh??????????

          • CharlieSeattle

            I don’t care.

          • GovernmentTramplesRights

            You don’t care about what?

          • Eleanor Cummings

Well that stack of returns he was signing looked quite high to me! Bet he got writer’s cramp!

          • GovernmentTramplesRights

That’s right. Anyone who owns real estate knows its a mess to file your tax return, with all the supplemental schedules to itemize the depreciation and other deductions taken individually on every property. As a CPA, I’d HATE to be over completing his return, even if I had 100 others working for me.

          • mustang6984

LOL!!! First…Romney DID release his tax returns…two years worth.
Second…Mr. Trump is not quitting anything.

          • SonofLiberty7

            Wishful thinking.

Romney? Romney? You have GOT to be kidding!!

          • pmbalele

Did you see how Megan Kelly of FoxNews was dressed today? Very irresponsibly. Her dress showed that she is flat-chested i.e. she does not have boobs. This is same woman who made fun of Sarah Palin when she got augmentation of her boobs after she was nominated as running mate of John McCain. Why did Megan Kelly wear such an irresponsible dress -we do not know. It is possible she had a crush on Trump.

    • empty pockets

I could not possibly care less about the Republican Party and its survival or “credence” (credibility).

WE need representatives who abide by he constitution first then the will of the people. YOU Tumpsters ARE the “malignant and aggressive minority”. I say that as a “true conservative” who still has principles.

      • SDofAZ

I just love it when you malign the people who support Trump. Who are you self righteous fools? Trump is by far a better choice than Hillary. Put on your big boy or girl britches empty! And do stop your whining. Sick of all the crying over your far right hippocrite positioning. Don’t vote, do stay home, but later if Hillary continues, do not post one single complaint. Whiner and malcontents!!

        • empty pockets

The “maligning” was me quoting him. Donald is Hillary cross dressing. She is Trump in drag. They agree on nearly all policies though his “amnesty” differs slightly.

I’m not whining…that’s your idol you hear. I’m not the one trying to convince you to abandon your beliefs. If you choose to join the clown’s circus of malcontents and miscreants…have at it. HE says he doesn’t need my vote so why are you creatures still bugging me about it. Just ignore me. You’ve already ignored 60% of R voters’ wishes so you have the practice.

          • JBM

you should rename yourself empty mind instead of pockets.

Poor boy, did you stay up all night trying to find a reply, and then you used one that implicated yourself.

          • Bill Hartman

empty pockets: Donald Trump wants to lower income tax rates. He wants to reduce regulation. He wants to control immigration. He wants a foreign policy which always asks first what is in American’s best interests, not what is in the best interests of the military industrial complex. He wants to eliminate Obamacare. He stated that he will only appoint strict-constructionists to the Supreme Court, and intends to give us a list soon of the names he has in mind. All very conservative positions.

I might be wrong, but it appears that you are opposed to Trump based on style, not substance.

          • empty pockets

Trump SAYS a lot of things then he says the opposite. Sometimes in the same sentence. So you haven’t any idea what he actually wants or intends to do. I don’t even think HE has any idea since he’s made it quite apparent he hasn’t bothered with learning the details on issues or the workings of gov’t, who has what authority, etc.

He “wants to eliminate Obamacare”…but favors single payer. See, that’s not a good trade for me. He hasn’t even met a strict constitutionalist judge, has no clue what conservative actually means though he did mention offhandedly once a few months ago when asked about where the Constitution fit in his plans that “oh, yeah, we’ll include it”. He thought judges “passed” laws or at least wrote them.

It’s like you’re expecting an Eskimo who’s never even seen an orange in his life to pick the best oranges.

No, though I’m not a fan of his reality TV, narcissistic style, that alone would not be enough to keep me from holding my nose. Again. It’s that he is a lifelong habitual leftist who has been a Repub in spurts about half his life and other things [mostly dem] if they seemed the most opportunistic the other half of his life. It’s that he lies, then lies about lying, then lies again. It’s that he gets his “news” from the “National Enquirer” or twitter or facebook. It’s that he gets his foreign policy advice from code pink. It’s that he throws out conspiracy theories worse than people we laugh at in their tinfoil hats…and he believes them. It’s that he is an ends justify the means guy exactly like Hillary and the left.. ANY means to his ends and his ends will be what they have been his whole life–whatever is best for Donald Trump.

No, Bill. It isn’t style over substance. It’s nasty style, zero believable substance and exclusive and overriding self interest. He is not one of us. He is one of HIM. He just made a “deal” with Adleson for $100 mil in campaign-for-Trump money–and pulling nearly all other money from all down ticket GOP races (so there goes “unity” and GOP majority).

You believe him. I don’t because I wouldn’t know which of his fluctuating “positions” to even try to believe. The GOP-e, whatever survives the bloodbath, would oppose Hillary. They would not oppose Donald as we see by their rush to pile on now. So he would have no governors, no brakes, no anchor in ideology or rule books. He will be every bit as autocratic as Barry has been and which we know to be destructive to America. It will be as destructive or more so if Donald did it (and definitely NOT conservative) since that would institutionalize it. We might as well throw out the constitution for all the relevance it would have.

I no longer try to change minds of those who support him, and am not trying to change yours. I AM stating why I will not support him. It’s a declaration of sorts, not a challenge nor insult of those who do (though I will insult those who start it).

IF I change my mind before Nov 8, it will be Trump who must change it by changing his own actions and words. It will not happen because any of his supporters, whether polite or pure filth (I get those, too) try to bully me into it. (YOU did not. Thank you.)

            Be well, Bill.

          • Bill Hartman

Thank you for making my comment seriously and replying in detail.

In terms of your Eskimo analogy: I don’t expect him to pick the best orange. But I do expect him to pick some oranges, whereas I expect Hillary to cut down orange trees.

There is one governor, one brake, on his conduct. He is a populist (not my preference or yours). But I believe he will back off if people, especially those who supported him, react with horror. Which is more than we can say for Obama or Hillary. That he is a “babe in the woods” without any depth of knowledge of how the federal government works is a disadvantage. But it also means that as a genuine outsider, he will likely attempt to undo some of the inanities of his predecessors, as a way to “make his mark”.

With the depth of feeling against him, it will be very difficult for him to survive. Normally, it is the VP selection that protects a modern president. But it will be difficult for the Donald to find a VP who would be less desirable from the perspective of those who are opposed to him, and happen to be violent. I take this as the real reason why VPs are always presented as deeply messed up: Dumb, absurd, senile, comic, extremist, loose cannon, lacking in common sense, or other such. Even if not succeeded by his VP, his selection is going to tell us all a lot about him.

          • empty pockets

You make some interesting points, Bill and offer food for thought.

“But I believe he will back off if people, especially those who supported him, react with horror. ”
He is narcissist so seeking attention is like breathing to him. Many of us have already been horrified by his impulsive and instantaneous attacks on individuals not even acceptable targets. Yet he did NOT “back off”. He attacked Cruz’s wife who did nothing to him over something even Ted had no part in. He used his friend, David Pecker and his rag (National Enquirer) to attack Cruz with the “5 mistresses” (throwing slime on 5 women and Cruz and all of it a twisted construction intended only to demean and throw mud on the “clean guy” with manufactured lies Trump and Pecker knew were lies) then used him again to create that wildly ridiculous conspiracy BS about Cruz’s preacher father who preached in his church (not a “megachurch”) about morals and virtue and cited Trump’s lack of same. Donald was told by someone about it and had him attacked for it the he personally carried that attack to national prominence.

Bill, that is not “unpredictable”. That is unstable and bullying. He displayed the same behavior with women who rejected his advances but he had a smaller media audience for them so the damage was lessened but he was still stalking/bullying. That is dangerous behavior (frequently repeated over his years) for any national leader, particularly dangerous for THIS country which in spite of Obama is still “leader of the free world”. He has also displayed other traits we’ve seen in our current Chief Narcissist like refusal to listen to his advisors if they tell him things he doesn’t want to hear. For someone who knows even less about government and how it works and world politics and interplay than Obama, that is a very dangerous and destructive attitude and practice, and one he is clinging to. Just those two things means your “governor” is already non-functional.

What would he do, Bill, if a leader of another nation insulted him (at least in his mind)? He would impulsively attack with whatever he has to hand as he always does…but as pres, look at what he would have to hand. His VP pick will be an indicator but of what if he listens only to “yes men”?

I won’t make this one as long as the previous but I hope you also have food for thought.

Thank you for the exchange. We still have over 5 months and a lot can and no doubt will happen. Perhaps we’ll “meet” again.

        • mudguy1

Yes but there still are many like me that will vote for Trump because we cannot let Hilary not any Democrat win the White House.

          • empty pockets

If I had to vote today it would be for neither of the top two. By Nov 8 Trump may have actually acted like a reasonable and responsible adult and offered enough actual substance (and stuck to ONE position on at least two things) on issues that I may decide otherwise.

But MG…that seems like quite a fantasy right now. We must each do what we believe is right.
            Best to you, sir.

          • mudguy1

I agree Like what Mark Levin says Trump needs to Conservatives what he is going to do to get our vote.

    • BH

If Trump wants to round up support within the ranks, he needs to humble himself and apologize to Cruz. Everyone knows almost all of his statements about Cruz were lies or great exaggeration. He needs to admit it.

    • Bill Cash

James: your’e on target. I know that voting for Trump is taking a chance. But serious, logical thinking voters, know for sure what the Clinton vote will bring.

      • James

Yes Bill; the only thing which will save American politics, will be a defeat of Killery and the Dem. party. Only then can the two party system survive. But if the GOP does not shed itself of the RINO’s and the yes men who are only concerned with lining their pockets, it will have been in vain!

    • James

Having read through many of the comments made to my initial posting, it is very encouraging to find so many real thinkers here! Folks who realize that America is taking its last dying breath before drowning in a sea of liberal perversions.
I will be completely honest; I was not a Trump fan from the beginning, and yes; I still have some concerns about some of his ideas, but here is the thing; At this point in the ‘race’ Donald Trump is the only :republican” running who even has a chance to defeat Killery (the hate filled b!tch responsible for over 50 deaths since her political career took off, and that is not counting the numerous character assassinations she has committed.
If Killery in particular; and the Dems. in general are not defeated in this election, there will never be another chance to reclaim what made America great, and that is a truly conservative republic which enables capitalism.
I read a couple of comments which challenged my conservative principles; let me tell you this, I am a child of the 50’s-60’s. I attended ‘coffee house’ propaganda sessions led by card holding communists. I heard their rhetoric and after hearing it, went back and studied what they ‘preached’. And found holes in everything those spouters of lies and twisted facts puked out. I later went on to challenge those same people. What I found out from that experience was that:although they liked to ‘preach’ peace and tolerance, they could not and would not allow it as long as it went against their beliefs, even when they were proven to be liars.
This is the generation we are dealing with today! Many have been lied to so much and so often, they believe the lie. And worse yet; they will not empty their heads and study proven facts. Of course; that was/is part of the indoctrination.
So as I stated at the beginning; Trump is the last chance to bring a revival of traditional standards. Is he the perfect candidate? NO! not by a long way. (My personal choice was Dr. Ben Carson, a man of true morals and values). But Trump is now the only real choice for stopping the flood tide of immorality and corruption which has beleaguered our political system. a vote for Trump is like throwing a life vest to a drowning victim, that person can grab ahold to the vest and use it to save themselves, or they can neglect it and go down for one last time! PERIOD!!!

  • empty pockets

So the feckless GOP-es, in an attempt to remain at least minimally relevant, are jumping on board the Trump train like a bunch of depression era hoboes. Fitting, actually since their numbers will be slashed in Nov and Hillary/Donald will finish institutionalizing the corruption of influence peddling and using gov’t power for personal gain for all time.

To any who have said the GOP will “keep him in line”…ROFLMAO. HE isn’t lining up with them. They are kissing the dictator’s ring you fools. He’s one of THEM, always has been. But it’s going to surprise even them when they learn that he won’t listen to them at all.

A conservative comedian said of Trump, in a moment of seriousness, “He’s not one of us. He’s one of HIM.”

    • Mo King

Sorry, Mr. Empty. It appears you’ve been duped by the ‘Never Trump’ crowd. Trump has been a presumptive presidential candidate for years, and now it’s Trump-Train time. He’s groomed, prepped and this is a once-in-a-lifetime situation, like Obama was, but the opposite of that Marxist, anti-American radical. This is no ‘average’ election- it’s time to clean house- Morning in America again.

      • rc

You can be for another Obama term, but much worse with Hil-No, or you can support Trumpster period. There is no 3rd position. Staying hope is a vote for Hillary. Vote and work for the Trumpster or watch our Nation unravel in a way that makes Obama look like an amateur.

        • rc

Never Trump is manufactured simply by Bill Clinton and his media allies.

        • SDofAZ

Empty is just that empty and not happy. Who knows where this empty person stands, he is definitely in the minority on the republican side. Seems to back the rinos very well since he is not backing Trump though. Think about it empty. That is the position you have chosen. So sad and so bad.

      • empty pockets

I’m not the one who’s been duped. I’ve been #NeverTrump since before it had a hashtag. I’ve been #NeverHillary for decades.

YOU like him? YOU keep him. I will not enable him or her in any way.

All you “poorly educated voters” as he calls you, who are hooked on either leftist loony juice or Trump’s fake relabeled water will decide based on which way the wind happens to be blowing or the shape of the clouds or whatever other ignorant and useless criteria you use. YOU all foisted these two co-conspirators on us all so you own them both.

        • raffaelecafagna

          I do see sanders here

        • Mo King

Man, you sound quite bitter, Mr. Empty. Sorry ’bout that. So the millions of good, hard-working folks who voted for Trump are uneducated and sucked into ‘Donald’s Delirium’, ey? Idiots like Newt, and Ben Carson, Ret. General Paul Vallely and the like?
Hmmmm. You may have a surprise, a PLEASANT surprise coming.

      • SDofAZ

Well said again just a waste on the empty one or any Cruz crusader. Too bad, so sad. And the reality is their candidate lost and is whining too.. Along with the Bush baby and the rest.

      • Reasoned thinker

Mo King — Totally agree. Go Trump 2016.

      • empty pockets

Oh, yes, Trump the opportunist saw his chance at the BIG power source and is going for it. He’s always been the supplicant, the buyer of political influence for personal benefit. Now he wants to own that franchise and reap the rewards for himself as the top seller.

He’s not the opposite of Obama. He’s his twin. Not in ideology for Trump has his own. It’s called Donald John Trump, Sr. But he will be as unconstitutionally autocratic as Barry and will complete the institutionalization of corruption Barry has advanced so much.

I was a NOT Trump before #NeverTrump was born. Only Trump could change that by his own words and deeds but he won’t. He won’t even try because he’s always gotten what he wanted eventually by hook or by crook, with whining or collusion, with backroom “deals” and schmoozing with the corruptocrats. He lies and he cheats and he’ll do it from now till he dies. I will not help him.

        • Mo King

Wow- you are deep into some hard-core Trump hating, but for little else than personal opinion and Trump-bashing. Good luck to you, Mr. Empty.

  • rowleya

This is total revolt against US Constitutional Republic
Time for States to vote for Citozens and States rights

  • Francis

So Donald Trump thinks he has the nomination all wrapped up? Well, he does NOT. At the upcoming convention in July, the delegates are NOT required to vote for Trump no matter how many “bound” delegates he rolls into Cleveland with. The fact is, the GOP DOES NOT bind delegates to any candidate despite state party rules. Please read the open letter below. Hope the link works. If the link doesn’t work, then do a search by typing in the title of the article plus the name of the site, and it should come right up.

An Open Letter and Urgent Plea To All Republican Delegates …

    https://thespeechatimeforchoosing.wordpress.com/…/an-open-letter-and- urgent-plea-to-all-republican-delegates-headed-to-cleveland/

2 days ago … This I shall attempt through this open letter and urgent plea. … privilege ofchoosing which candidate they can cast their ballot for in the first … Curly has been advocating this position for a long time, but it’s up to the delegates…

    • Mo King

If the GOP, through manipulation of delegate count, try to take the nomination away from Trump at this stage, it will mean chaos at the convention, and possibly permanent damage to the party. This is called ‘snatching defeat from the jaws of victory’, or ‘shooting yourself in the foot’, or ‘cutting your nose off…………’ you get the point.

      • SDofAZ

True, so very very true Mo.
