House Speaker Paul Ryan was ridiculed on social media Saturday after he tweeted, then deleted a post citing a woman’s tiny raise as an accomplishment of the GOP tax cut.

Ryan was responding to an Associated Press story about the controversial tax overhaul’s effect on Americans’ paychecks.

He highlighted Julia Ketchum, a secretary earning an additional $1.50 a week under the new withholding guidelines from the IRS following the passage of the bill.

“A secretary at a public high school in Lancaster, PA, said she was pleasantly surprised her pay went up $1.50 a week …she said [that] will more than cover her Costco membership for the year,” read Ryan’s tweet.

My military retirement (23 years service) went up quite a bit.
Between cost of living (COLA) increase and reduction in payroll tax deductions, it came to a little over $75 per month. Thank you Mr President, the extra money will come in handy.

If anyone deserves ridicule, its ryan. He’s a walking piece of garbage who is actually a liberal democrat thinly veiled. He constantly betrays all conservatives and the people of the state who keep him in power must be tremendous morons themselves to vote for such a piece of trash.

Oh, and by the way, this criticism comes form folks who called $000 bonuses “crumbs”. Old Botox Betty Pelosi took her friends and co-conspirators out to a trendy, high dollar restaurant for dinner to celebrate closing down the government while decrying hourly workers at numerous US corporation from getting the bonuses. I realize to a millionaire like Pelosi (born with a silver syringe in her saggy skin) that $1000 is “crumbs”, but to those who have earned our way in life, that means a bonus we can splurge on our families, if only a one time thing. For some it means getting just that much out of debt. And it more than the “crumbs” we would ever get from the spendthrift Democrats.

And exactly how much did she save in taxes under Obama? $1.50 is not much, but it’s better than nothing, or having your taxes go up year after year to pay for new and increased give-away programs that benefit only their own supporters.
