Paul Ryan: Trump Judge Comments ‘Indefensible’

by CBSNewYork/AP  |  published on June 7, 2016

NEW YORK — House Speaker Paul Ryan says Donald Trump’s comments on an American-born judge of Mexican heritage are “the textbook definition of racist comments.”

Ryan says that the “mature and responsible thing” would be for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee to disavow the comments about the judge presiding in the Trump University lawsuits.

Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel cannot be impartial in the lawsuits because his parents were born in Mexico. Trump wants to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico, which he says puts Curiel in conflict with the lawsuits. On Monday, Trump insisted he’s only defending himself against relentless questions about the lawsuits.

“I do absolutely disavow his comments I think they’re wrong,” Ryan says but adds that “I’m going to be focusing on these ideas these solutions and not attempt to try and defend the indefensible.”

Ryan, who endorsed Trump last week, said he will still support Trump because his agenda is more likely to get enacted under Trump than presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Come on ,,, someone bring up the judges religion.. FYI.. it is Islam… Oh now Trump wants to build a wall to stop illegal people from entering our country from Mexico, he also wants to stop all immigrants that are followers of Islam.
Think about this folks.. would you want a different judge?

  • ADRoberts

    Ryan is wicked.
    Trump is wicked.
    Who cares which is worse.
    Either way, we lose.

  • reggie

So the klingons are at it again with bs lawsuits. Best thing that can happen to this country is TRUMP! She wins and everyone from Pakistani businessmen to Saudi Kings will want their money’s worth. What does this law office want? The Judge is part of LaRaza, we already know what he wants, and it won’t be in our interest.

“The federal judge appointed by Barack Obama presiding over the class-action lawsuit against Trump University is a member of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, a latino group that translates to “The Race.”

According to a 2014 Annual Dinner and Gala brochure, Judge Gonzalo Curiel was listed as a member of the Scholarship Selection Committee. In the same brochure, the plaintiff law firm, Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP, were listed as sponsors for the event.”

Documents released Wednesday in a case accusing Trump University of fraud confirmed the law firm behind the national class-action lawsuit against Trump University paid Bill and Hillary Clinton a total of $675,000 for speeches.

Isn’t one of the tactics of the Left is to scream racism when you can’t win a Argument Just Sayin

    • Robert4709

Yes, when they lose their argument, they go to their next talking point. Happens on Michael Savage show constantly. They can’t get over on the Doc.

  • Cleverfun

This is a really great place to blog this evening due to the total lack of trolls… they must have ALL for voted Hilda or Bernie today and then fell asleep after the proverbial, “selfie” -lmfao

GET ANOTHER JOB PAUL RYAN!! TRAITORS ARE UNACCEPTABLE IN THE USA…

  • Ken says

Poor RINO Paul – 2012 RINO Loser and now you will become an ineffective RINO Puppet. Life’s a bitch but you knew that when you became an Establishment Puppet – hope you saved some of the money.

    • Robert4709

‘Rat’Ryan’s wife is a big Democrat lobbyist in DC.

  • Gail

Paul Ryan is offensive and we all wish he would shut up . This moron thinks if Trump becomes president he will have to follow what Ryan wants . I hope he loses his re- election in Wisconsin There has never ever been a house speaker to demand of a candidate to follow his agenda .( house speaker agendas )

  • Rodney Steward

Funny how Obama has made every racist remark that can be made, and even telling other countries how sorry the American people are, and this POS hasn’t said a word just like Boehner! They just keep French kissing the W.H. thugs butt!

  • peter

Paul Ryan needs to go once and for all. He should join the democratic party where he belongs. A traitor

  • SYG

QUESTION: When is it appropriate to bring up a person’s ethnicity (yours or theirs) into a conversation involving a person’s qualifications because of this ethnic connection? It seems to me that the whole ethnic reference is allowed but only if the introduction of a particular ethnicity is a positive one. but if introducing the ethnicity card is negative, sorry. . .that’s not allowed.

Positive case in point is Supreme Court nominee Sonja major waved her hispanic ethnicity card every day of her nominee hearings because it would give her credibility and a unique understanding when confronted with ethnic minority cases. In other words, “Street Creds” cuz, she’s been there, done that.

But now let’s look at the opposite point of view. We now have a Judge who is a member of a liberal Hispanic supportive and socially active group called, “La Raza.” Although this judge was born in the United States, both his parent were immigrants from Mexico. He has already demonstrated a sympathy of the Hispanic cause here in the United States by his membership in La Raza. Suddenly this judge finds himself dealing with a case involving a very vocal Presidential Candidate who wants to build a huge wall along our Southern border to keep any more illegal Mexican Immigrants from crossing our border into our country illegally. Additionally, this candidate has used some very colorful and very negative word describing many of the Illegal Immigrants.

People want me to believe that his judge will keep his innate feelings, his innate heritage, his ethnicity and his love for the Mexican people out of his decision involving a law suit against this candidate who wants to build a wall.

You want me to believe that this judge can be un-bias and fair in this law suit? In a perfect world. . . . maybe it’s possible, but right now, there is no way he can keep his gut feelings of contempt out of his final decision. If you believe he can, let me know because I have some really nice swamp land to sell you in Colorado.

    • SYG

Folks don’t you believe for one minute that this is an isolated case of legal maneuvering. It happens every day across our nation during jury selection process. Each side is trying to get a jury seated that will be favorable towards or against a particular defendant. It all depends if you are on the Defense side of the table, or the Prosecutor’s side.. If you don’t believe this, I feel sorry for you. Example: This is first hand experience involving myself and jury selection. I was called for jury duty in a case of a Deputy Sheriff shooting by a suspect who was arrested. The Deputy died so this was a serious murder case. Upon the individual questioning of each juror, the defense lawyer asked me if I had anyone that I knew that was involved in law enforcement. My answer was, “yes” my son was a Deputy Sheriff. It took all of 5 seconds before I was thanks for my service, but I will not be needed on this case.

WOW. Nobody asked me if I can give an un-bias verdict. Nothing. Nada,. gone. Such is the way of the world. So this whole thing with Trump and the hispanic judge is not a racist move. . .it’s normal. Anyone telling you differently is blowing smoke up your poop-shoot.

    • reggie

And the law firm has given klinton alms $700,000 in speaking fees over the last several years.

  • Luke

Paul Ryan should just keep his RINO mouth shut.. He thinks he is so important, I’ll be donating to his opponent in WI this Nov.
Most blacks were born here too but they insist on being called african American, so the judge is mexican American and probably biased against Trump..

  • grandmary42

If what Trump said is true, that this judge let the prosecutor change a plaintiff that was clearly discredited with one that was less favorable to Trumps case, then the judge should be replaced.

    • reggie

The judge is a member of LaRaza Lawyers of San Diego. The law firm going after Trump has paid killery almost $700,000 in speaking fees over the last few years. She owes them, the Pakistani businessmen who paid her $500,000 in Beaumont, Tx last January, the Saudis, the list goes on and on. They bought and paid for her, and they want their money’s worth. She’ll work for them, not us.

    • Robert4709

Don’t worry Trump is not dancing the Democrat limbo dance

  • Brabado

Can someone “PLEASE” tell Paul Ryan to stop the BS, and HIS posturing, and become a Team Player in “vanquishing Hillary Clinton” from the American Political Scene, instead of helping the Liberal Democrats keep the Phantom of Barack Obama, in the WH, for 4 more years?…
Did he ever called any of Nancy Pelosi’s “wicket political positons, indefensible and/or unacceptable” or, like the other RINOS in the House, Ryan just fell-in -line just like with the rest of the little Republican Ducks?
Honestly, no one has an idea as to where Ryan plants to take his non-sense…
That is very sad, and very dangerous!
GOD HELP AMERICA GET BACK ON TRACK AND AWAY FROM TYRANNY!
    Semper Fi.

    • reggie

Just like klingons, he can be bought.

  • bookworm

BS! Ryan just labeled telling the truth as “indefensible.”

  • J.B. Young

The judge is a La Raza member. He is the racist. And you need to be voted out if office, PC Ryan!

  • Natalie

This judge has A CLEAR conflict of interest. Doesn’t matter where he was born. Trump said nothing racist. What he said was common sense.
Leftist do not recognize common sense because they have none. Leftist’s in Republican clothes like Ryan SO afraid of the race card he still says ‘undocumented worker’s’ are to afraid to recognize common sense.Trump iis clearly being railroaded.

  • John

Ryan, whatever Trump says doesn’t matter at this point! It’s what Hitlerly says that needs to be rammed up her butt! I don’t care if she talks about baking cookies, find away that she is trying to poison the children!

  • barbarakelly

So again Mr. Ryan you show us your stupidity. YOu didn’t bother to have your staff really check out the judges background and who he really supports and what his real reason was to come down hard on trump.!!!!! Oh yes, I have my suspicions on you supporting Trump. What is the real reason that you cave. As if YOUR AGENDA is more important. After all you went along with the obama budget that was swamped the citizens of America. We seem to be constantly pay the bill for obama and you have done sh*t to stop him, you 2 faced bugger.!

  • game50

Paul has no room to talk…he’s to busy putting his nose up Obama butt… he should also know that EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO SAY WHAT’S ON THEIR MIND…its call the 1st Amendment ….

  • bytheway4

Ryan, you should talk, you have been giving billions of our money to obama, you are a traitor to the republican party. You have done a lot worse. Get lost.

  • SDofAZ

Rat Ryan is the one that is offensive here. A la raza lawyer who is obviously prejudice. Rat is just showing his loyalty to the la raza group and the illegal aliens he wants to continue accepting in the US through the open borders he wants to keep OPEN. Would the state he is running in please VOTE their pet RAT out of office and out of the DC trash right away. He is a RINO. AND he is not a selfless servant. The little Rat looks for every opportunity to do McConnell and BO’s biding. What a joke. Flood his house speaker email with comments to let him know we hate the little Rat even worse than Bon*er. He is such a turd! Trash is what he is and a want to be NWO leader. God, even the NWO can not want this little RAT Turd.

  • Richard Bagenstose

like ryan has room to talk , after passing 2 trillion dollar spending bills for oboma paying for all his agenda , including the illegals , you want the illegals ryan , let them move in with your wife and kids, so they can take baths with your wife and kids , and see how fast you sing a different tune, forcing the shit on us is one thing , time for use to live with what use pass, maybe you will change the way you govern, like hillary , you think you are above the law, well your not and the day of reconing is coming

  • Robert4709

GOP still hasn’t learned to stop being pushed around by Dem’s. How much will it take? 2012 landslide victory and they still haven’t heard that they won and are the MAJORITY PARTY. They have all the fierceness of Mittens Romney

    • SDofAZ

Rinos infest the senate particularly. When they are gone, the rest will listen. We unfortunately have many more landslides to arrange. Time to vote every rino and dem lemming incumbents out every time they surface for reelection. Pelosi, Rat Ryan and McCain are running this year. Rat and McCain have serious conservatives facing off with them. Know anyone in AZ or I think WI for Rat, send em an email or call em. Make sure they know this rats are on the ship and need to be rounded up and drownd.

      • Robert4709

Yeah, Rat is Wisconsin. I got a Dear Friend email blast from Fast John asking for donations, I sent it to the Spam folder

  • Ramon1710 .

Me: Paul Ryan catering to homosexual muslim communist pretending to be president ‘Indefensible’

  • uhptony

The loser Ryan should understand that anyone, even Donald Trump has the right to question the integrity of a judge or anyone that is making accusations.

    • Mary

Absolutely uhptony…Trump is right, Hillary Hacked his comment…..Read this……………………………………………………………………………….Who Is Paying To Prosecute Trump University Civil Claim? In the news lately we have heard a lot about Donald Trump and the case against him in civil court about his online classes for Trump University, but who is paying to sue Donald?

Would it surprise you to find out that the law firm that is suing Donald Trump has also paid Hillary Clinton large sums of money for speaking engagements?

The case against Trump stays that he defrauded some of the students in Trump University that paid between $1,500 and $35,000 to learn the secrets of business from Donald Trump himself.

The law firm Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd is behind the class action lawsuit and is paying the bills to make sure it stays in court.

HERE IS THE KICKER The law firm has paid the Clintons a total of $675,000 in speaking fees over the last 8 years. Almost a quarter of a million dollars for a couple of speeches and Hillary just spoke there a year and a half ago for $225,000.

To put it lightly, they must really love Hillary Clinton, so it is no surprise that once this election took off, this law firm decided to go after Trump.

They must be made of money because they paid $675,000 for speeches and are fronting the cash for the lawsuit against Trump.

Trump has been targeting the judge in the case, when his attention should be directed at the connection between the Clintons and the Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd law firm. Something shady is going on, and Donald should speak up about it. THESE CLINTONS ARE ABOUT THE DIRTIEST EVER, WHY AREN’T THEY BOTH JAIL. AND TO THINK 50% OF OUR VOTERS ARE VOTING FOR HER, SHE ISN’T GOING TO CLEAN UP ANY IF MADE PRESIDENT, SHE’S PULLED DIRTY THINGS FOREVER, CLEAR FROM ARKANSAS BEFORE THEY WERE IN THE WH, IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT AGAIN, BETTER THINK ABOUT IT HARD, YOU HAVE ONE CHANCE IN YOUR LIFETIME TO HELP “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN? GET RID OF THE FILTH IN THE WHITE HOUSE NOW AND HILLARY TRYING TO GET IN AGAIN WITH ALL HER CRIMINAL BAGGAGE, ISN’T GOING TO GET ANY BETTER IF SHE DOES, SHE’S OBAMA’S THIRD TERM. GET ON THE TRUMP TRAIN BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. .

      • reggie

We are already a 3rd world banana republic, thanks to those soros zzz kissing pukes. The so called Trump rape victim who had no address, no name in Epstein’s book, etc. The so called battery against another pathetic ‘hore’ michelle fields who accused Corey Lewandowski of battery. The pussie prosecuting attorney Dave Aronberg is in the klinton “Florida Leadership Council”. I have more respect for the Italian Mafia than the klinton mafia.

  • Athanasios1

The Judge is in support of illegal aliens…the Judge is willing to break federal laws protecting United States sovereignty. He should be thrown off the bench instead of being asked to rule on a case where the only pro American Republican for President that speaks the truth, is a plaintiff.

    • Robert4709

At the very least the judge should have recused himself

    • SDofAZ

The conflict of interests is what will kick this suit out of his jurisdiction and Trump can see to that. The whole Trump lawsuit is about some whiners not getting what they expected out of the course and under normal circumstances it would go no where. But Hillary’s lawyer buddy and now this buddy judge have it cooking on the stove. This is abuse of power and some very ugly shadey back door politics. But everyone knows what it is. It will bite the lawyer, the judge and Hillary in the ass anyway. This is all they got, pitiful. And this is gonna backfire with crap all over the Clinton house of cards and their buddies. Trump will remember and what is wrong with the process for reminding this judge he has a conflict and should be replaced. Come on Texas. Step up and raz this judge.

    • reggie

He’s a member of LaRaza Lawyers of San Diego. Tells me all I need to know. The law office contributed almost $700,000 to klinton over the last several years, for speeches.

  • Athanasios1

Trump is right and Paul Ryan is still a punk.

    • SDofAZ

      A poser RAT.

  • Mimi

Dumb move. This judge has no business in this case. Clearly biased. Donald should just ask for a different judge. Read what Sonja Sotomayor said about her credentials….and she is a Supreme Court Justice. Ryan and Rubio and the others who are critical of Trump’s views on this had better straighten up or they will be out in the cold. Those Rinos are really a pain in my side….

    • dennis w

mine is a bit lower of these two losers………..try pain in my azz……….

    • SDofAZ

Vote every rino and dem lemming out at every opportunity. Pelosi, Rat Ryan and McCain all are running. Vote em out. Rat and McCain are facing real conservative candidates in their races. VOTE EM OUT! Go Ward in AZ. Palin is stumping in Rat’s state for his competitor. We need to vote everyone of the DC trash out every time they run. Just like they did in VA to Cantor. Clean out the trash.

    • reggie

The judge should have recused himself. That’s what honorable judges do.

  • horseridingplains

Ryan –thinks he is taking for conservatives–he is not a conservative–RHINO—hopefully he will be voted out of office—–or at least lets see how long his soft job as Speaker- which was stolen in back room dealings–will last when Trump becomes Pres.
It seems ryan has no clue as to what is going on—this is cronyism at its worst on Clinton supporters—judge should recluse himself from case as he contributes to our favorite Clinton foundation–just how is that helping him in his radical cause against Texas continuing as part of this country–the radical Mexicans feel it should be part of Mexico—and them carrying Mexican flag as they riot in protests–that is a crock of junk—period. I wonder who is paying them to show up????Soros, Clinton, Romney???????

    • dennis w

      and ryan………

    • Robert4709

Protesters can take their rag of a flag and March back to Mexico with it and burn it.

      • reggie

        I have a better place for it…

  • Jerry

Trump had every right to question the Judge fairness. If Trump had made a statement, such as: All illegals are welcome. We will support all of them at middle class level. The Judge would have ruled in Trump favor. My guess, but I’d bet on it.
Ryan is establishment. He would support Hillbilly all the way the same as he supports Obama. The establishment is dead set on destroying the sovereignty of this country to further their cause for a One World Government. Think of this as the United Nations becoming the new congress with Obama as their leader.

    • reggie

I just finished eating. Think i’m going to …

  • Robert Wilson

RYAN COULD NOT SUPPORT HIMSELF WITH A JOCK STRAP.

    • SDofAZ

He does not have enough equipment to bother with a jock strap. He and BO seem to mess real well, he must be a swisher too.

      • reggie

        Doncha luv dem pink panties?

  • gerald Hughes

Ryan, you rubber duck fing RINO, you are history

    • Robert Wilson

I BELIEVE RYAN IS A DEMO SLEEPER.

      • gerald Hughes

        Little doubt about that

      • SDofAZ

Just like all the other RINOS. Can’t tell em apart anymore except the rinos infest the GOP. Time to clean it out. Goodbye McCain in AZ. Some idiot for the senate sent an email asking for dinero for McCain to me. I sent it back saying HELL NO. The fool said ISIS would overrun the country if McCain lost his job. That in itself is utterly laughable. The McCain I know is a go along get along good old boy who is buddy buddy with big business and has left AZ’s legal constituents hanging out while he does his buddies dirty deeds, just like the other rinos. Flakey fell right in with it too. Both are DOA for another term for any jobs in the government. We have had it with em. Liars, cheats, thieves and no working tax paying citizen’s friend. Fire em!

      • reggie

        A wannabe big boy.
