Pick a side: Little Sisters or Big Brother?

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Saturday freedom of faith was a choice between the laws of man and the laws of God.

“From the standpoint of religious freedom, you might say it’s a choice between the Little Sisters and Big Brother,” Bush said at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

“I’m going with the Little Sisters,” he added, throwing in his support for the Little Sisters of the Poor, a Catholic religious institution for women which has clashed with the government over healthcare requirements in the past.

Bush, a likely 2016 GOP presidential candidate, spoke as Liberty University’s commencement speaker. He charged Saturday that government sought to control matters of the spirit much like they did matters on Earth.

“Somebody here is being small-minded and intolerant,” Bush said of the battle between church and state.

“It sure isn’t the nuns, ministers and preachers who are practicing their faith,” he added.

Jeb Bush has said his hero is LBJ do I need to say more??!!

  • Wayne Thorson

It’s obvious now. They said Jeb was smart and George was an idiot. I hate to say it but I might vote Republican if Jeb runs.

    • real talk 1

I could see why because he ain’t what the republican party needs either now or ever !

      • Wayne Thorson

DAMN, I thought maybe we could agree on something.

    • James Rieker

      are you an Idiot?

Why would you vote for a man whose policies are the same as Hillary’s or Obama’s for that matter. Amnesty, common core, etc.

          • Wayne Thorson

I don’t plan to. I plan on voting for Hillary. But thanks for your concern.

          • megan

You sir, have no shame LOL

Open Border Wolf in Sheeps clothing…

    Liberty is the phony right-wing

Sorry, I don’t trust the guy. That’s the problem with “fast” talkers. They can sound so sincere, while on the other hand they expose their true selves by the way they live, etc. or something comes out of their mouths that is questionable. The Bush family are elitists, NWO types.

    • Dennis Wenthold

I never liked how George did as our President but I lived in Florida when Jeb Bush was the governor – He did a good job (?)

      • KDC

I’ve heard that, too, Dennis. I just can’t bring myself to trust him or any Bush. Or Clinton.

  • KevanRowlee

There is not a good Bush in the lot of them and that includes pro gay marriage & pro abortion Laura & Barbara Bush too. As for wimpy Jeb, he bows down to statues and graven images in Roman churches, thinks confessing his sins to homosexual priests the priest has ‘the’ authority to forgive them and believes the Marxist Pope is God’s chosen emissary on planet Earth. Please!!

    • Dennis Wenthold

I am not a Bush fan either but if you have nothing nice to say please keep your negative opinions (comments) to yourself

      • megan

Good grief………what is wrong with negative comments?

  • jne4klpk

all gods suck at human rights, which is why the Mayflower compact was formed.
keep your god at home where it will be safe from facts and truth of life, and my ridicule. So too, should the Fascist Bushies and his “support” drones.

  • 4lifeandfreedom

He spoke at Liberty University commencement–that is inappropriate in itself, since he is pro-abortion–but guess that does not matter to “Christian Leaders” anymore! What a pity that these college graduates were not given the “choice” to opt out!
