Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a new interview that President Trump agreed to keep White House senior adviser Stephen Miller out of a recent White House meeting on immigration reform.

“I had suggested when [Trump] called that we just have four people in the room — myself, my chief of staff Mike Lynch, his chief of staff Gen. Kelly and the president,” Schumer told The New York Times podcast “The Daily”. “And I said if you’re going to have Stephen Miller there or somebody like that, it’s not going to work.”

“And [Trump] agreed.”

The two men met last week in an attempt to avoid a government shutdown. After the meeting, Schumer said there were still a “good number of disagreements” with Trump on immigration and spending, but that progress had been made.

But Schumer says Trump called him later Friday, before the shutdown began, and the negotiations derailed.

Now folks, we can’t be absolutely certain that Chickie lied, It may be that his memory is as bad as Dickie Durbin.

There is a reason why Schumer doesn’t want Miller in the meeting. Most likely Miller doesn’t cave like Trump seems to be doing on DACA. No amnesty for DACA people. No special path to citizenship either. Let them get on the list and wait in line like other legal applicants. They are here but should not be allowed to vote until they get naturalized. That’s what the law says now. Clamp down on them illegally voting by embedding a chip in them or a indelible ink tattoo. Letting them vote just helps the democrats win elections they can’t win honestly. Do not help the democrat communist party get a permanent majority voting block.

I agree 100% .. Have you seen these dreamers talking lately . A bunch of Ungreatful as#holes . I was for them before but after seeing their bit#ing about Trumps Generosity they Don’t Deserve to stay !!

If it was just Schumer and his Chief of Staff with the President and his COS, how quickly would Schumer make up a story about something the President said to start another phony controversy? Like how (aptly named) Dick Durbin “heard” a statement NO ONE ELSE in the room heard. And the Democrats have a history of this. In 2013, just before the Obama Shutdown, Durbin “heard” an unnamed GOP attendee in a meeting say to the President “I can not even look at you right now”. NO ONE ELSE heard it, including Jay Carney (Press Secretary to Obama) nor any other Democrat. Yet it was treated as fact and any deal in the works fell thru, allowing Obama to weaponize the shut down for maximum impact. Schumer and his ilk are the reason the President does not trust them in a room alone, or with limited attendees, and who can blame him?

  • Robert says:

So Chucky thinks he should be able to determine who the President allows in the meeting?

  • Notalib says:

Schumer is still whining. Get over it Schumer. No DACA. Stop being a PIA to Trump and try telling the truth.

  • IF YOU BELIEVE SHUMER, THEN I HAVE 10 THOUSAND ACRES OF OCEAN SIDE PROPERTY IN AZ. THAT I WILL SELL YOU CHEEP. HE IS AS BAD AS ANYTHING COMING OUT OF CHICAGO, OR CALIF. FOLKS IT IS PAST TIME THAT THE LEADER OF THE SENATE VOTE IN THE NUCLEAR DEAL AND GO WITH MAJORITY WINS INSTEAD OF THE 60 CRAP. NOTHING WILL BE DONE UNTIL HE DOES. THE REPUBLICANS HAVE CONTROL NOW AND IT IS TIME THEY STARTED ACKING LIKE IT.
