Ted Cruz meets with conservative leaders on how to remain a force in GOP

Sen. Ted Cruz may have dropped out of the presidential election, but he has no intention of disappearing from the national spotlight.

On Tuesday, the Texas tea party darling got together with more than two dozen conservative leaders to brainstorm about how he can remain a force among those in the conservative wing of the Republican party, according to Politico.

“The discussion revolved around the future, and the future with Ted Cruz as the leader of the conservative movement,” Politico quoted Brent Bozell, a conservative activist who hosted the meeting, as saying.

Representatives of the conservative Heritage Foundation were among those at the meeting at Bozell’s home. One of the rules of the meeting was that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump was not to be mentioned, the politics website reported.

Attendees brought up former president Ronald Reagan and how, like Cruz, he lost the Republican presidential nomination in 1976, but despite that went on to become president in 1980.

He’s baaack… Lyin’ Ted. Check out his Speech and see how the dummy is still copying a lot of Trump’s positions. Remember, he is needing to regain his job as Texas Senator at next go-round. Texas will give him the boot… a pointed one when they find out how Heidi Ho Nelson Cruz connected with Schafly’s Eagle Forum and gave them sweet talk which guided them to turn against Schafly for endorsing Trump and saying she was nuts to do that… well, that means a heck of a lot of American women are nuts. Some are and likely Heidi Ho scanned and found the disloyal bunch that worked at her direction to support Cruz. Where are those females now…. Schafly asked them to resign from HER organization. Watching. Hey Texans… you can do this… at least replace LyinTed and HeidiHo with real Texans. Remember the Alamo.

He couldn’t possibly lie more than obumer or killery!

I guess everyone is tired of Trump and know that he is not one of them. The problem is Cruz is not a leader. He rubs people the wrong way. If the conservative movement wants to be a force they need to dump Cruz and find a real leader. Cruz is a lone wolf.

Has Ted Cruz filed for his American citizenship papers?

    • Elaine

He was born an American citizen in Canada, which automatically grants Canadian citizenship to people who are born there, which means he had dual citizenship. 2 years ago he formally renounced his Canadian citizenship. Try to keep up.

      • snowyriver

Elaine.. He was born in Canada to two Canadian citizen parents.. Both parents had applied for and received Canadian citizenship. Canada did not allow dual citizenship. Time for you to do a little research.

Thanks, Snowy… clearly some cannot understand, think. or have the courage to support our Constitution.
Whatamess. Not really their fault. They studied at the Dumbing Down High Schools. That will all change when Trump is President and we take back our educational system, return it to the local states and each school district where parents and communities will take charge and oversight, as it was when we had a world-class educational system. A lot of very angry parents will assuage their anger by also cutting down the organizations, committees tentacled to the Federal Department of Education that have been destroying our kids..

I have done some homework, thanks for the support.
If given a free hand I could solve the Kyron case in two days.

Many have been glued to the research and the final answer will be soon. A really big net. Not time yet to pull it up… lots of big fish will be gutted. Takes time. It will be done right, no escapes.

Why are people on this site still respect Ted Cruz? The guy is a foreigner who wanted to invade USA and make province of Canada which in turn we could be under the Queen Liz. By other way did you hear this rumor? Hillary is going to appoint Michelle Obama as Secretary of State. She has a JD therefore she knows how and has skills to negotiate with heads of foreign countries. Also during the last 7 years she travelled all the world. She is therefore perfect candidate for that position. After Hillary as president, Michelle Obama can run as president of USA. That will further hurt Repubs and TPs now losing the WH job again.
