Milford, New Hampshire (CNN)Donald Trump on Tuesday said his decision to skip the last Republican debate before the Iowa caucuses may have led to his second-place finish in the Hawkeye State.

“That could’ve been with the debate,” Trump acknowledged to reporters in Milford, New Hampshire, where he was introduced and endorsed by former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown. “I think some people were disappointed that I didn’t go into the debate.”

Iowa entrance polls showed most voters who made up their minds in the final days before the caucuses settled on chief rival Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, not Trump. The nationwide GOP front-runner had skipped Thursday’s Fox News debate due to an ongoing feud with the network.

Still, Trump said he would make the same decision again, pointing to the $6 million he raised for veterans’ charities.

  • CharlieSeattle

Rumors and sightings of Megyn Kelly scarecrows on every street corner in New Hampshire to keep Trump away, have been confirmed,

    …ya, that outta work.

  • KDC

Nah, I don’t think so, Mr.Trump. Better to come out smelling like a rose than subject yourself to the cesspool they were going to throw you in. Great diversion from a GOP ambush!
    Go Trump!

    • Jerry

You saw the whole picture KDC. Good for you. Go Trump…

  • Peter Smith

I’m sure the Trump camp will place the blame squarely on the shoulders of Meygn Kelly. That mean woman backed him down, shame on Megyn. No, I don’t think the first debate and Megyn’s questions to Trump were “unfair” or “loaded”. At the same time, Megyn’s obvious bias against Trump should have been forseen and preempted by FOX. That being said, THIS prospective job interview, proceeding before the entire nation, carries a little more importance than one of his Chapter 11 casinos. This is for America’s future, any question is fair game.

    • KDC

Oh, bologna. You know as well as anybody it was a GOP setup. It wasn’t even about that Kelly person! The muslime and the Mexican illegal WOMAN were there for the setup! An ambush diverted!

      • Peter Smith

Are you friggin’ kidding me! The GOP establishment will fall in behind any Republican candidate except Ted Cruz. The GOP will get behind Trump because he said it himself, “I make such great deals, wonderful deals” and the GOP will deal with him in response for their support. The Washington Post stated, “Trump long has objected to the participation of Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly as one of the three moderators, claiming she has treated him unfairly with both her questioning of him at last August’s debate and her commentary since then.” A GOP set up? LOL! Or is it Donald Trump acting as a petulant child? More likely. Or is it crying like a four year old who just pooped his pants on the play ground? My answer.

        • Jerry

Peter, I guess you favor the suave politicians who are rapidly selling out America.

          • Peter Smith

No, I favor Conservatives, people who believe as I do. Ted Cruz is my Texas senator, I voted for him then and I see no reason to quit now. Ted Cruz is the only Conservative candidate left with a chance of winning. I am a Conservative as well, I vote my conscience, Ted Cruz believes as I do. He has my vote.

          • Jerry

Stand by your convictions Peter, you may be proven right in the end. I do hope for Trump/Cruz though.

        • KDC

Now that we’re fed up with Obama, it is time for the next round of phony change. That change will likely be represented by reformulated Tea Party Republicans Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.“The Republican establishment despises Ted Cruz. And that’s great news for the senator from Texas: It’s the most prominent sign that he’s the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination,” the National Journal opined.
The faux government shutdown with its intense partisan squabbling and meticulously orchestrated theatrics provided Cruz and the reformulated Tea Party Republicans with a stage to present themselves as the answer to politics as usual. According to the script, a staid GOP dominated by the likes of old guard John McCain and John Boehner is afraid of Cruz and the supposedly renegade faction of Tea Party activists in the House. But it’s all show business. For all his allure as an outsider,
Canada-born Ted Cruz is in fact an insider playing a role similar to the one Barack Obama played back in 2008 when his handlers portrayed him as
the hope and change candidate out of nowhere.Cruz’s insider connection is a family affair. His wife, Heidi, is a Goldman Sachs vice president in Houston, Texas, according to her LinkedInprofile. She also served as an economic advisor for the Bush administration. They’re both globalist elites.

          • Peter Smith

LOL. How can one person be so wrong. Ted Cruz is the only true Conservative left in the race. No need to ask who your choice is, ….., you know, Donald Trump. The progressive Demopublicam, snake oil salesman, and all around GREAT guy and GREAT deal maker. He’ll go far ……….LMAO.

          • KDC

Cruz is WAY OFF. He’s a dominionist. Read this then LYAO!They teach that the Old Testament is our rule of life for today.

They believe that we DO NOT have to keep the law for salvation.

They believe in using Genesis 1:28 to advocate that God’s law should rule society today. This view is known as Theonomy (or God’s law). This view would mean that Christians would have to keep the Old Testament laws except in the cases where the New Testament cancels out those laws.

A highlight in the teaching of Dominion theology is the use of covenant theology. As a result and makes no distinction between the church and Israel. The problem is that the Dominion theology goes beyond traditional covenant theological bounds. They teach that the church is to be governed by the same laws and subject to the same curses and his promise the same blessings as Israel. As we know this is not what we find taught in the Bible. Christ work on the cross canceled out the old laws that applied to Israel.

Dominion theology teaches that Christians should have a high activity in social and political arenas, not that this is necessarily a bad thing as Christians we should be involved in this arena. The Dominionist however twisted pervert this to mean that we should be in these arenas not to just influence them but to take them over and change the mandate of those areas.

Believers of the Dominion theology movement, like many Charismatic’s, especially the Latter Rain Movement, hold to the belief that there will be a great and time revival in which masses will turn to Christ thus influencing and changing the Dominion of society. This plan will make a better place for Christians. This type of teaching promotes moral relativism instead of Christianity.

Some Dominionist father teachings of George Ladd, and believe that we are now in the kingdom page in one sense but in another sense that the kingdom age is still yet to come. They believe that we are in the kingdom now and have authority over the kingdom, but on the other hand we are still ushering in the kingdom for Christ to return. They believe that Christ will return after a certain amount of Dominion is extent Bush here on earth, and away the advocate that there is a formula to make Christ returns.

The teachings of Dominion theology follow a post-millennial view and usually fall into the line of Arminian theology. Many believe that you can lose yourself salvation.

Dominion theology believes in extra biblical revelations such as prophecy and speaking in tongues. Even though the continuation of the gifts is taught in 2 Corinthians 14, the Dominionist goes beyond what is taught in the Bible on the use of these gifts. They hold the use of prophecy and tongues over and above the teaching of the Bible. They believe that prophecy and tongues spoken today our new revelations into the word of God that they hold the same level as the inspired original word of God.

Dominionist use an allegorical hermeneutics approach to prophecy. They believe that the Great Tribulation took place at the fall of Israel in A.D. 70; the anti-Christ refers to the apostasy of the church prior to the fall of Jerusalem; the beast of Revelation was Nero and the Roman empire. This teaching is propagated by such teachers as Hank Hanegraaff and is known as Preterism. This teaching of course is not held to be the common eschatology of most Christians and is seen as a non-normaltive teaching.

          • Peter Smith

Oh my! You sound just like the paranoia maniacs of the late 50’s when they were all in a tizzy about the possibility of a CATHOLIC POTUS! You know, John Fitzgerald Kennedy? Turned out just fine until November 1963, then he (and this nation) had a bad day.
Ted Cruz is a Christian that believes in his Faith. Go figure! The fact that he wants to return our nation to being a Constitutional republic is music to the ears of Conservatives. The United States Constitution is written in a manner that bases many of it’s written principles on God’s law and Christian morals and ethics. Seems to be a trend developing here!
I would say you’ll next be seen screaming, “the sky is falling, the sky is falling ……”, but that has already be covered. Keep trying.

          • KDC

No, Peter, Cruz is a Dominionist and that’s an elitist view of the bible. God is no respecter of persons. Cruz’s elitism permeates every part of his life. A globalist at heart. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. Cruz says all what you say, but he’s an establishment insider.

          • Peter Smith

And you’re a blithering idiot with statements like that. Your “elitist” statement is probably true for the father of Ted, but you are so far in left field about Ted Cruz, your in the parking lot outside. Do you even heard Senator Cruz speak? Have you ever had a conversation with him? Ever opened your friggin’ eyes and taken a good hard look? I’ll bet the answer is “no” to all three. Ted Cruz is my Texas Semator and I will continue to support him. Your just another Trumpateer with “the Donald” saying Ted is “evil” and you’re just being a good parrot. Trump will betray the Conservative Right the moment he gets in, if if enough idiots like you vote him in.

          • KDC

Look, for yourself…you need to read up what dominionist believe. You can’t just accept people saying they’re Christians anymore. This is a gross mis interpretation of the Word of God. It’s an exclusionary elitist view.

          • Peter Smith

Do you know Ted Cruz? Have you ever met the man and heard him talk? I’ve done the research on dominionism and I see no trace of your fears in him. He is a Constitutional Conservative who will fight for and defend our Constitution. He is a Christian who is passionate about his Faith. If your want a prime example of an elitist view, believe the Trump.

          • KDC

Well, Cruz is not a christian either, he is a seven mountain dominionist like his insane father who said “my son is anoinTED, to go to war and win and bring back the spoils to the priests.”. the video is on youtube for anyone that actually CARED to see. there are a slight few who don’t care at all that he is ineligible, sent out shame letters, lied about carson dropping out, and helped fast track TPA on TPP for barack obama. facts though, are stubborn things. even his law school professor, laurence tribe said he is trying to “slip AROUND the constitution”. that is his greatest lie of all, trying to be POTUS when he may not even be even a us citizen, let alone a natural born citizen!

          • Peter Smith

My suggestion is “stop drinking the Kool aid”. Rafael Cruz may indeed be a loon, he is not running for office. I am so grad you are the Constitutional scholar that has the exact Article that defines “natural born citizen” for all to see. I’m ready, where is it at? Cruz campaign members parroted the story broken by CNN and yet NO ONE has accused CNN of lying. It has really hurt the good Doctor, that can be confirmed by his other primaries. The numbers have never changed, have they? Do you know why Cruz voted to fast track TPA and TPP? He did it so a “lame duck” Congress would not be casting votes. And just so you’ll know, Senator Trd Cruz has voted AGAINST both. Where is that fact mentioned?
Ted Cruz is the PNLY Constitutipnal Conservative in the primary, where is this fact?
Go ahead a believe Trump, it’s your choice. But if Trump is elected and he F-CKS the country like I believe he will, what will your story be then? I don’t think I’ll hold my breath waiting on your excuse.

          • Peter Smith

“An elitist view of the Bible”? God is God and Christianity is the true religion. Jesus Christ is his Son, born of Man to absolve our sins and show us the path to eternal life. If the truth is elitist, then there are over 2 billion of us in this world.

          • KDC

Look, you need to read up what dominionist believe. You can’t just accept people saying they’re Christians anymore. This is a gross mis interpretation of the Word of God. It’s an exclusionary elitist view.

    • Jerry

Peter, I think you forget the Fox is pro amnesty and for open borders. The owners have millions invested in this. Trump on the other hand wants to send all the illegals back. I like Cruz, but he can wait his turn. Trump may only last four years due to his age. We need a business man long enough to turn things around. Cruz lacks in the business end, but he would learn a lot from Trump. It’s time for the two to kiss and make up so we can have a Trump/Cruz team in the White House. Carson would do well as Secretary of State. Just my humble opinion.

      • Peter Smith

Jerry, I could agree with much of what you say, but not all. The illegal issue is cut and dried, hence the term, “illegal aliens”. I agree the GOP contenders need to remember Reagan’s 11th Commandment. Save the animosity for the Democratic contender. Don’t fight within the party. I worry about some of the Trump policies like “single payer healthcare and his “I make such great deals!” line. I truly believe Trump would deal with the devil. While he might help us economically, the Constitution is under every bit as much duress as the economy. I believe only Cruz will actively defend the Constitution. I agree on Carson, like you said, just my humble opinion.

        • Jerry

Peter, you are right about Cruz defending the constitution. The problem is he has been in government work most of his life. He cannot get along with the House and Senate and for good reasons. It would be great if he could get some support. He has no experience in business and world trade. We need both Trump and Cruz, but will they get pass their differences. I’m for Trump/Cruz and Carson as Sec. of State. We shall see soon enough what the future will bring. We can only hope for the best.
          Nice talking with you Peter…
Let’s see what the next topic brings. We may talk again then.

          • Peter Smith

Thanks Jerry, be seeing ya’ later, so to speak.

        • KDC

Trump wants Obamacare repealed. He says it’s a “job-killing, health care-destroying monstrosity” that “can’t be reformed, salvaged, or fixed.” He believes in allowing real competition in the health insurance marketplace to allow competition to drive prices down. He also believes in tort reform to get rid of defensive medicine and lower costs.

          • Peter Smith

Now YOU need to read up. Trump has talked about a “single payer health insurance”, I.e. “Socialized medicine” furnished to all by the Fed. Your health care costs will not go down and your coverage shrinks as you get older. A 65 year will not have the same treatment options as an 18 year old. Trump is a business man that knows winning is by eliminating your competition. You are way off base in this.

      • KDC

        Cruz is ineligible!

  • Dave N.

On going feud with the network, give me a break. No one has asked him any questions they wouldn’t have asked anyone else under the same circumstances. That and he has been on Fox more than any other network up to this point. Thin skinned, narcissist, crybaby, put your big boy pants on and get in the fight with some humility and tact, you’ll do better.

    • KDC

      Your another one…bologna!

      • Dave N.

One what? If you have a point or wish to have a discussion I’m happy to respond.

      • Jerry

Go Trump. Fox wants another debate for the GOP on March 3, 2016 featuring Meagan Kelly and the what’s their name the debaters. The ALL FOX SHOW with its star narrator Meagan Kelly. Have you notices that the narrators on both sides are just ordinary people, but not Kelly. She is dolled up like and Egyptian Queen. They pose her as if she was the star of a gigantic movie. It is all so phony and BS. Fox has an ulterior motive of destroying the enemy D Trump. I believe. My humble opinion.

    • Jerry

It is not an ongoing feud. The the owner of the network is pro amnesty and open borders and they do not like Trump’s wall and sending the illegals back. Fox wants Rubio because he’ll go for both of the networks agenda. Fox wants to destroy Trump. My humble opinion.

      • Dave N.

Wow, so many opinions, so many personal preferences, and so many theories, there seems to be another conspiracy around every corner. It appears this country is very messed up, no one can agree on anything other then no one is happy about anything.

        • Jerry

Dave N. it is not a theory. It is a fact. Murdock has millions invested in open borders and amnesty. There must be a way he could make money with open borders and cheap labor.

          • Dave N.

Can’t help you on the Trump issue, I can’t stand to listen to him and he hasn’t clarified anything on any issue to my satisfaction. I like Cruz only slightly better but at least he has a consistent conservative position. Trump doesn’t have that and doesn’t have the time to develop one. He is currently the most self-centered, narcissistic, and mean spirited individual in politics today, no exceptions. I cannot and will not vote for him.

          • Jerry

Take care Dave. Some day we will know…

          • Dave N.

Without a doubt we will know the out come, at least most of it within a reasonable time. Some things seem to take for ever to find out the details of any given action. Hope we are both around long enough to find out. It would appear there some who would like us all dead at any cost.

  • Liberty

Yep, we told you so, Trump. It will hurt you and help Rubio. Reminds me of my father’s run for Senate decades ago. “The reporter started to ask questions, but I told her to just let me talk,” My mother and I gave a collective sigh, knowing we lost the election right then. Being smart…and humble…are a good combination. It’s not too late for Trump to apologize with “I’m sorry I took my voters for granted.” That would take him a long way. But he won’t. My vote’s on Cruz, but I would vote for Trump over the other side any day.

    • Jerry

Apologizing would be a sign of weakness. He does well in just admitting it was a mistake.
I still believe he did the right thing not attending the debate, but it did hurt him. Most people did not realize what a major setup Fox was building against him. Kelly wanted to be the queen bee that took him down. The other moderators on both sides looked like regular folks, but Kelly was so dolled up you’d think she was going International gala.
Trump will be a different man in office. In this campaign he is out of his element since he is not a politician. He is the only one in the bunch that comes off as honest.

      • Liberty

You’ve got some great points. I believe if Fox had removed Kelly for the debate that Trump would have attended. Fox could have called it a personality spat and say Kelly offered to sit out, not wanting it to get in the way of his attending. Everybody saves face! Nope. Fox has to DEFEND its journalist. What a load of crap. Kelly did a p-poor job and we, including Fox, know it. Regarding Trump’s absence, I don’t think his apologizing is a sign of weakness in this case. As to honesty, Cruz and the ethanol argument is a strong show of truth telling. He wasn’t willing to lie to get votes and that tells me he’s less likely to be bought (plus his record of bucking the Big E). And Carson is top notch in character, too.

    • Jerry

Liberty, now Fox wants another debate on March 3rd featuring Megan Kelly. This is just another attempt to have Trump not attend so they can show him as weak. I don’t know what Trump is going to do, but I surely believe that Fox is trying to drown him. Fox doesn’t report the news. They use the power of the press to promote their own agenda. This should be illegal. They should lose their license. If Trump is elected I hope one of the first things he does is revoke Fox’s license. Fox is making millions stirring up the problem and they will do anything to keep the money rolling in no matter the damage they are doing to the country and Trump.

      • Liberty

Is there no common sense? FOX absolutely should put Kelly on the back burner. Absolutely. Now it will hurt FOX more than it hurts Trump. The REPORTER has become BIGGER than the story. Is that journalism? FOX, could you please see the picture? For crying out loud, and I’m not a Trump supporter (if he secures the top, I will be). Good point, Jerry.

  • Nam1

    Lol, yuh think!

  • Paul J Sutherland

Trump will regroup and be more focused. Mistakes were made but he will fix them. Trump wants America and will make America great again. Watch out here he comes. This vet is for Trump.

  • SDofAZ

No, it was the cheating lying politicians and their last minute tactics. Go Trump!

  • eassa

Trump’s big mouth cost him the win.
