Trump’s White House transition also aims at party unity, mending fences

by Joseph Weber | FOXNews.com  |  published on November 21, 2016

Romney TrumpPresident-elect Donald Trump’s White House transition effort is starting to look like a 2016 GOP presidential primary reunion, with former rival Rick Perry scheduled for talks Monday as part of an apparent effort to mend fences and build party unity ahead of Inauguration Day.

On Sunday, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a primary rival-turned Trump backer, was part of a parade of officials who visited the president-elect, who moved his transition team’s headquarters for the weekend from Manhattan to Trump’s private golf club in Bedminster, N.J.

The most high-profile visit this weekend was the arrival Saturday of former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who during the 2016 campaign called Trump a “fraud” and publically backed several of the other 16 major candidates whom Trump vanquished in the primary.

Trump, a first-time candidate, in turn called Romney a “choke artist” for his failed 2012 White House bid against President Obama. Both men suggested their roughly 90-minute meeting went well. But it remains unlcear whether apologies were exchanged or if Romney is interested in the secretary of state post.

“They did have some private time together, and you can ask either one of them what they talked about,” Vice President-elect Mike Pence told “Fox News Sunday.”

Mending fences is not what we elected Trump for. We elected him to prosecute the Hildebeast and drain the swamp. Looks like he doesn’t plan to keep either promise. Can I take my vote back?

    • Helland

Ease off a bit. He couldn’t possibly do any worse than the Democans & Republicrats that have been running the show.

I want both of the Clintons tried too, let’s just watch this ….Closely.

    #MakeTrumpGreat Again!

Trump must uphold ALL his pre-election promises!

March and protest LOUDLY in the streets!

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump lashed out again Sunday at the cast and producers of the hit Broadway show Hamilton. So much for the Constitutional guarantee right to free speech in America.

Pence, on the other hand, was overheard telling his daughter, “That’s what freedom sounds like.”

Maybe we should ditch Trump and elect Pemce.
The GOP would be smart to do so.

Trump’s Constitutional gaffe says everything that needs said.
He is unfit to hold the highest office.
Free speech is a right, not a privelege.
    Thank you “Hamilton”.

A little fact for you but anyone in our country is give the rights that citizens get with only the right to vote being excluded. Even people here illegally.

Not Shariah Law that’s trying to be pushed by these muslims that say it trumps American law, and U still can’t see the trouble we are to face soon! Have you noticed how quiet it’s been with the muslims!! Be on your toes, even if it is a BB gun!

Ah, but that’s NOT the New Testament-which is the source you cited. Careful, some of us actually know our scriptures.

          • AKLady2015

Wrong, it is in the New Testament.

            Kill infidels in the Bible: Deuteronomy 13:6, Deuteronomy 13: 13, Deuteronomy 17:3, 2 Chronicles 15:13, Leviticus 20:27, Matthew 15:1-9, Romans 1:20-32, and Matthew 5:42-44.

There is more, but that should educate you a bit better.

Nowhere in the Quran did God say to kill innocent unbelievers.

          • Leslie Woodhull

Wrong. Neither Matthew references said anything about death. Romans was referring to the spiritaul death that comes from being a reprobate as far as living the gospel is concerned. You originally stated the New Testament-Deuteronomy & Leviticus are Old Testament.

Enough. I can outdo you in scriptural areas all week long and twice on Sunday. The point is that you are a troll. Fortunately I see you for what you are, therefore you have no power over me. Instead of being so arrogant and prideful about your supposed great knowledge, humble yourself and learn. Only if they’re here NOT to insight trouble, and is why islam was banned in America in 1952!!

        • Leslie Woodhull

No, only citizens are protected by the rights the Constitution acknowledges are ours, given to us by the great Creator. Non citizens who are not here by visa or permit are not treated the same as citizens.

          • AKLady2015

Everyone within the U.S. borders is protected by the U.S. Constitution.

That is why Iraq and Afghanistan prisoners are/were held at Gitmo. Had they been brought into the U.S., they would have had to have been given status as either a criminal or a POW.

Even illegal immigrants must be given a hearing. They must also be provided legal representation.

The only exception is if they are caught in the act if crossing the border.

I suggest you educate yourself in regard ot the “Due Process of Law”. A place to begin would be the 5th and 14th Amendments.

        • Helland

Protected by, but NOT given the same rights as citizens.

What does the Constitution say about citizenship?
Courtesy of Grolier’s New Book of Knowledge

The United States Constitution, drafted in 1787, did not explain citizenship, but it did mention “citizens of the States” and a “citizen of the United States.” Citizens of the United States became entitled to the rights guaranteed to them by the Constitution and its later amendments. Among these rights were the right to vote, own property, seek elective office, and to be protected by the laws of the land.

Because the young United States followed British common law, it accepted the rule of jus soli, or place of birth. As early as 1790, Congress recognized the rule of jus sanguinis, or blood relationship, by passing laws giving citizenship to a child born in a foreign country if the father was a citizen of the United States.

    • Leslie Woodhull

Oh and Obozo the clown had never made a”Constitutional gaffe”? Please!! That stupid moron tried to rewrite the Constitution-which is why you got “shellacked” the weeks ago! This election was a REFERENDUM ON OBOZO& HIS WORTHLESS POLICIES. So now, since HILDEBITCH lost, he has to STAY in D.C. to try to prevent the loss of all of his crappy “legacy”. Lol! And it isn’t going to work. I guarantee you heel be in the golf course ALL the time. We’re UNDOING EVERYTHING THAT POGARBAGE TRIED TO RAM DOWN OUR THROATS. THANK GOD FOR TRUMP!!

But the people who are scared or worried in a few months will realize that Trump is out for no one special-not even for himself. He’s doing this-as I am doing this with my talents-because WE WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE COUNTRY THAT HAS ALLOWED US TO LIVE OUR DREAMS!! Trump as a wealthy businessman & me as a concert violinist. He doesn’t need the money and I don’t need the fame. This is ALL about giving back. Period.

      • AKLady2015

Where will Congress get the money for Trump’s wars?
Where will they get the money for Trump’s concentration camps?

Jailing of opponents is a tactic of dictators, not democracies.

      • AKLady2015

Why do you need to tell these lies?
Why do you embarrass America this way?
Why do you believe it is acceptable to lie?
Why do you believe it is acceptable to repeat lies?

        • Leslie Woodhull

Why are you a troll and why do persist in spreading the lies you say? I’m not lying about my intentions-I am giving back. In the course of my lifetime I have taught over 3000 students how to play beautiful stringed instruments-violin, viola, cello & bass. I’ve also played professionally with the LA PHIL, & many, many other performance groups. Teaching has been a major focus in my life, consequently I recognize those who can and will make positive, much needed changes in order to correct faulty positions.

Obama constructed those FEMA camps you refer to. Obviously, those camps will be destroyed under Trump. As to last comment, you mught want to look at the absolute corruption of government with the appointments of HOLDER, LYNCH, JOHNSON, CLINTON to name only a tiny percentage of sludge the LAME DUCK PRESIDENT has tried to foist upon this country!! And let’s not forget the OUTRIGHT COMMUNIST VAN JONES!!! Yup Van, you got a “whitelash” all right. Except it was’t. What it was is a COMPLETE REPUDIATION OF ALL OF THE ‘POLICIES’ THAT OBAMINATION TRIED TO PUT INTO PLACE!! I CAN’T WAIT FOR TRUMP’S FIRST DAY!! It’s going to be GREAT!!

Then people like you will have no power over others with your garbage rhetoric. You will need to look for another country who practices your so-called ‘values’ in order to live as you like. I hear Greece is lovely. Have a nice life. I hope someday you find something productive to do with it.

          • AKLady2015

    No RINO’s Dammit!

  • I have said it before: KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE AND YOUR ENEMIES CLOSER. This appears to be Trump’s strategy, and as with everything Trump, everything he does turns to gold.

    • bobnstuff

It turns to gold for Trump only, everyone is get crap. Lets hope Trump understands that it’s the country that’s suppose to come out ahead on this deal, not him.

Mr Trump is well aware of the need for the country to come out ahead. He’s not into self-enrichment like HILDEBITCH was.

        • bobnstuff

      • bobnstuff

He became a Billionaire by birth, He’s not that good a businessman. Had he just bought stock he would have done better The S&P 500 out performed him by double so he would be twice as rich had he just invested in stocks and let others run the companies. He’s a shrewd businessman that make some very expensive mistakes.

  • justinwachin

Mr. Trump won the election. He appears to be reaching out to those who crossed him during the campaign. Ultimately if he can bring the team back together and have them working with him, he is likely to be able to get more accomplished. History will remember him based on what his administration accomplishes during his time in office. It’s good to see he is going to be above petty feuds.

  • Leslie Woodhull

Trump is showing how he intends to govern. He’s taking the high road and mending fences while trying to fill over 4500 (!) different positions. I think Romney would be a fantastic choice for SOS. He is also fluent in Chinese and would be extremely helpful as the Trump Administration deals with the world situation.

  • DrBillLemoine

The hell it does–Trump aims at party unity and mending fences. So far in one week he’s appointed folks who moderate Republicans avoid like the plague. Nobody wants to deal with a rogue general or white supremacist in the White House. And there’s no cabinet because those moderates with experience and availability to run the cabinet level jobs aren’t jumping on the Trump bandwagon because of his statements, temperament and aims. This is going to be a long 4 years.

    • used_to_be_a_liberal

To hell with the moderates. We have had enough of butt kissing, back stabbing moderates

      • bobnstuff

We are a democracy and our government is to represent all the people. Extremists don’t do very well seeing the other guys point of view. Trump is everyone’s president not just the president of those that voted for him. This isn’t some sporting event where the winner takes all. Over half the voters didn’t vote for him. This should encourage him to be moderate in his actions.

        • used_to_be_a_liberal

Go kiss Obama’s butt, then take a deep breath, and re-think just who your extremists really are.

          • DrBillLemoine

We have the past performances of Trump interviewees to gauge extremism. Trump takes the cake so far. You aren’t thinking straight any more–is it the change from liberal to conservative extremist. Did you lose your job?

          • bobnstuff

You mean the tower of jello Obama. He has been one of the better republican presidents we have had. Everything he did has at one time or another has been supported by the republicans. He did a Nixon in pulling out our troops, he passed a healthcare bill based on a republican program. He opened up more federal land for drilling and promoted foreign trade. All the things he tried to do were republican programs at one time or another. Do you know that the EPA was created by the republicans.

      • DrBillLemoine

If you used to be a liberal, you understand that to get what you want from DC–better, higher paying jobs, at least–you need moderate Republican and Democratic votes in congress. Your position is short sighted and counterproductive. You are still living in the past or outgoing presidencies. Look ahead.

        • used_to_be_a_liberal

No you don’t need that. Not now. If anyone is living in the past it is you. It is not business as usual, and it will not be politics as usual. The fight for U S sovereignty political and economic is just beginning. In order to win this we can’t have any of the same old stuff.
          Merkel said the following to Obama;
Angela Merkel will work with Trump So Long As He Backs the ‘liberal world order
U.S President Barack Obama backed German Chancellor Angela Merkel to continue fighting for the liberal world order, saying he would vote for her if he could.

So now it is really out in the open. We need stronger, tougher people then moderates.

          • DrBillLemoine

The USA has always maintained its sovereignty in every way. Nowadays its #1 in form of government–democracy–and economics despite your views. No fight necessary.
I’ll agree both parties have not worked to get more and better paying jobs for workers for 30 years, but that’s both parties. It’s not related to sovereignty, but business offshoring jobs to save labor costs the highest in the world at home and more profits: that’s Republicans mostly.
I’ll also agree that Republicans are bad negotiators–whether public sector with the bureaucracy or private sector with unions. It’s the reason wages are low, union-busting and started in earnest with Reagan and PATCO, air traffic controllers.
You are also loosely using the ‘liberal’ word. It has a different meaning in Europe than here.
What you ‘need’ is representatives who can listen to problems, determine the needs, and act on them via compromise with opponents. Nobody gets everything they want in democratic politics–you confuse that with dictatorship.

    • Rodney Steward

8 years under a black idiot has totally suc$ed!

      • DrBillLemoine

No more and possibly much less than 8 prior years under a white idiot. It sucked for wage stagnation, low income jobs exported, automation replacing rote labor, fat cats siphoning off 50% of national assets and 90% of income. How about 2 ongoing wars and a Great Recession by Bush2 and company?

        • Rodney Steward

But yet, Opey keeps sending more and more troops to fight a war he declared over, and remember this boy has been in for 8 years and created ISIS and we’re still fighting this useless war!

          • DrBillLemoine

So you ignore Bush2 invading Iraq as the start of Al Qaida AND IS terrorism in the region. You absolve Syria’s Assad and Iran’s Ayatollahs from causing terrorism in the region? And why should American shed blood and treasure for ISIL barbarians when local Arabs don’t do enough???
If you want more troops on the ground, watch what warhawks Trump and Flynn do next. Remember tactical nukes and carpet bombing slogans? Ready for another volunteer draft, war-tax surcharges???

          • Rodney Steward

We need to keep our military strong and straighten out a lot of these safe place pansies, they need to bring back the draft period and make men out of these lost souls called Millennial’s!! And do what ever it takes to wipe out Obama and Hellary’s mess! And just think, we’ve got to take care of the gutter rats here before it’s over!

          • DrBillLemoine

Simply repeating partisan slogans won’t improve anything. The military is stronger than the next 4 nations COMBINED. What’s a ‘safe place pansy’ or ‘lost soul Millennial’?
There’s no mess in equal rights expansion, withdrawing from 2 wars, insuring voter/civil rights.
Are you calling elected politicians at all levels ‘gutter rats’? Be specific.

          • Rodney Steward

The gutter rats are the muslims that your Prez. has let come into this country, with most coming through the borders, the same border that the border patrol officers have been told to not mess with people coming in! But of course you’ll play stupid to this by saying it’s not true or happening, it’s a don’t want to admit Dem. thing!!

          • DrBillLemoine

You have no data on Muslims crossing borders and it’s hardly the prez who fails to protect the borders. Obama would have been impeached long ago along with Bush2 if that were true. Border crossings are down.

          • Rodney Steward

My God Billy, 60 minutes had a special of what was called the ice road bridge between Canada and the U.S. showing trucks with muslims coming across! They had been watching this for over a year! Obama should have been impeached on several thing a long time ago, but like I said billy, none of U Dems will admit shi$! Dr my a$$!!

          • bobnstuff

Have you looked at a map? Our longest border is with Canada. Why would they come in on an Ice road? Why would they be filmed by CBS doing it? How would they get to Canada? Are you sure you saw it or are you like Trump and see Muslims dancing when there aren’t any?

          • Rodney Steward

This show was put on own behalf of the border patrol, that like the Southern border patrols were told to turn a blind eye by the DOJ, through Obama! They were showing real footage by the agents, that had their faces blacked out! Your right about CBS, they’re Obama butt kissers! Obama has been setting up this country for 8 years now!

          • bobnstuff

Tried looking for it but came up empty. I have a question for you. Why would Obama send extra agents to the Mexican border only to tell them not to do their job? Why would the DOJ give them orders since they are part of DHS not DOJ? Why is there no real proof that any such order was given, just unnamed people. Why has no real news station picked it up? It’s kind of like the stand down order the Clinton was said to have given.

          • Rodney Steward

The extra Border Agents were just sent down their recently by Trump supporters people in the system, Obama has basically had his powers taken away, he’s finished, he’s just going around the world telling more lies! And the ice road show, it was last year, and it was a stand down order given, either by loser #1, Opey, or loser #2 Hellary!! The only 2 that could give it, but it was the sluts job!!

          • bobnstuff

You really need to keep up with things. A little less then two years ago Obama pulled people off the northern border to cover the Mexican border when the congress wouldn’t give him more agents. Everything Obama did to try to secure the borders the republicans blocked. As far as a stand down order non was given, didn’t you follow the hearings. Two guys were sent back to guard the embassy who tried to get on the plane. I guess when you get your news from Fox you can be expected to not know things. Obama has power for a few more weeks and he seems to be using it.

          • Rodney Steward

I guess U watched CBS on the stand down order, just like most of the comedy news channels that had Hellary leading in all the polls, and the same ones that said that Hellary won the popular vote that turned out to be a lie, and now just like the lie that Opey had such a high popularity rating, it’s all a LIE, they’re both hated, just look at who is Prez., and don’t to hear the popular vote BS! Your wrong about the border, it was Obama that pulled out the patrol!!

          • bobnstuff

You my get your news from those great online services that never lie. They must tell the truth because they are on the internet. Last count Clinton was about 1.6 million a head of Trump in the popular vote. To bad we have that electoral college or you would be saying Mrs. President. I could give you link after link showing you that the facts are on my side but you never read links and like to drink the swamp water news so why waste my time. In 2010 Obama sent 1200 troops to get the open borders Bush left behind under control. In 2014 Obama asked for help in controlling the borders but it feel on deaf ears. All he could do was bring agents south to try to stem the tide. These are facts. The law says that if you are not from Mexico or Canada you must be given a hearing before you can be sent back home. This law was in place before Obama took office. The court is 60 weeks behind on those hearings. Any Mexicans were just sent back. The Agents call it catch and release. Not a good plan but with out money the only one we have. We aren’t allowed to just shot them, international law plus some of our own laws say no. Trump is getting a much more secure border the Obama did. Unless the law is changed Trump will be able to do little more then Obama did. That Wall which now might be just a fence will do no good without real laws.

          • Rodney Steward

You are one sick twisted puppy, but most Dems.are, but the laws are already on the books, neither Bush or Obama have enforced it, and no, I’ve never been a Bush fan, half their family is married to mexicans!!

          • bobnstuff

You keep making one mistake. I’m a card carrying Republican, one of those dying breads, a moderate Republican. You also are totally clueless about the immigration laws. The laws on the books are so weak that they really can’t be enforced.

          • Rodney Steward

But you keep thinking like a person with black grandkids, and you know nothing about the laws on the books bobby, if they enforce the laws, by law, all that is caught must be carried back by Ice to the border and released, WITHOUT ANY TRIAL AT ALL, FACT!!

          • bobnstuff

I have read the laws which is more then you can say.

          • Rodney Steward

Well good, you know I’m right , settled!

          • DrBillLemoine

Our security forces have thwarted many terrorist incursions from the North in CA. Don’t worry so much. Or Is your hair already gray? I’d worry if they were not watching.
You know impeachment is for wrongdoing; that’s a conservative specialty, and even so, they have no grounds–for 8 years now.
You think there’s something to ‘admit’; get a life; at least get some facts, not 60 Minutes or YouTube, Rush or Hannity, Beck or DeMint. Why do you think I’m on this blog?

          • Rodney Steward

They’re not going to impeach anyone any more, after 8 years of the worst Prez. in American history, anything goes! If a coon can do it so can a White man!! You’re on this blog because you’re a socialist teacher, the same kind of teachers that we have to cleanse from our schools!

          • DrBillLemoine

You simply aren’t paying attention daily as I do. There has been virtual non-stop talk of impeachment articles being raised against Mr. Obama–a drumbeat of looking for wrongdoing. We’ll have to see how history rates him, having expanded civil rights for many groups heretofore oppressed, mostly by your side.
It’s a matter of bigotry as your very use of the words ‘coon’ and ‘White man’ show. You have already alienated about 62 million Americans, those in the majority who rejected a Trump presidency.
Actually I’m a math/science teacher dealing with numbers and data. Your sloppy use of words including ‘socialist teacher’ shows you emotionally involved, not thinking straight. And remember YOU are responsible for teaching and teachers which are respectively a State and local function subject to your votes in most places. In a democracy we don’t ‘cleanse’ anybody, so you also show yourself to be a dictator-supporter. Move the MI where their governor poisons whole cities of minorities and ignores the Supreme Court, rule of law and the will of the people.

          • Rodney Steward

Your job should be real easy since all the kids have been dumb down, and our school systems are the biggest problem we have with our kids, just look at a lot of the rioters, when ask why they were out there, half had no clue we were just told to be here! I have a family member that is a teacher, and they said that half don’t need to be teachers, are you one of those kind, must be, your a DEM., that’s the first sign of stupidity! Obama doesn’t have enough time left to be impeached, so instead his powers have been basically stripped!

          • DrBillLemoine

Instead of a conversation–2 ways–in these pages, you just keep rolling on in your mind, mostly ignoring my valid points and spreading your nonsense about education. Public education is a hallmark of democracy, so you are promoting something else while enjoying the very benefit you would destroy. Forked tongue stuff.
Remember education begins at home including self-discipline. Start your criticism of parenting which has no courses, no training for the masses. That’s also democracy. Significantly you don’t mention the subject area of your family member-teacher. As an effective teacher, I often felt other colleagues could use improvement, but you know what I did? I participated in all in-service workshops for school and system by writing and teaching methods and principles for the educators. Again, for problems with schools, get into the schools and attend district school board meetings. In my city I actually held coffees in people’s homes to get their goals for the schools which became curriculum objectives, guided course selection and ultimately curriculum evaluation by limited testing. The first year 25% of seniors topped out on testing proving my prior points here. Community (your) activities in the schools makes a world of difference, not withdrawing or homeschooling or charter school transferring. Pakistan, ISIL and other dictatorships suppress education as you are suggesting as a control device to stamp out democracy. Are you an anarchist or anti-American, a traditional Moslem or dictator?

          • Rodney Steward

And you Sir, are just like the unions you work for, full of shit!!

          • DrBillLemoine

You don’t know how to google, I see. I’ve worked both sides of the table in education–union and management. My policy proposals are well received and adopted by both sides in compromise, a word you don’t understand.

          • Rodney Steward

This is what Obama and Hellary thought, well received, shows that the people of America wanted different, just like they want in education!

          • DrBillLemoine

Actually the majority of voters wanted Hillary. An artifact of the centuries old and elitist construction of the Constitution, the Electoral College, prevented her presidency. You are not credible about people wanting different education–I knew the first one to homeschool her children in LA. She was a bigot not wanting her precious kids to mix with any black children. Are you also a bigot?

          • NM Leon

Actually the majority of legitimate voters wanted Trump. If you don’t like the EC start an effort to amend the Constitution.

Most parents want changes in education so they don’t have to have their children subjected to the likes of you.

          • NM Leon

“Actually I’m a math/science teacher dealing with numbers and data.”

Bullschitte, you are mathematically incompetent (and near computer illiterate). You are a fake with an over-sized ego and a marked lack of success in the real world, other than maybe preying on poor people.

          • DrBillLemoine

Careful, champ. You are flirting with cyberbullying in your nasty partisanship and illegitimate sourcing that may fool weak minded readers but not substantial posters.

          • NM Leon

Says the idiot lying libtard troll? That’s amusing.

What “illegitimate sourcing” are you referring to? you who never source anything?

Newsflash, Billy Boy, you are not a “substantial poster”, you are a partisan libtard troll and are viewed universally as such here, fun to metaphorically kick around, but not someone to take seriously.

          • NM Leon

Impeachment is not for wrongdoing when it comes to the libtard Dems. They proved that conclusively with Slick Willy when many of them stated that Slick Willy was guilty of perjury, perjury was definitely a crime deserving of impeachment and conviction, but they were going to vote not guilty for the good of the party.

Obozo has committed dozens of impeachable crimes, but it would be impossible to find enough honest Dem senators to vote to convict him (honest Democrat is an oxymoron)

“Why do you think I’m on this blog?”

Because you are a pathetic, lying, libtard troll, with (apparently) Masochistic Personality Disorder.

Really quite the dumbass liberal lemming. Stick to whatever Dr. you do and let adults talk

          • bobnstuff

The good doctor is right. Ronny think it’s 1939 not 2016. We out spend the next four nations combined. China has one aircraft carrier, Russia has one aircraft carrier, we have ten. We only have three at sea because we really don’t need ten. China has no planes for their carrier and Russia carrier is an old diesel that has to have a tug with it at all times because it keeps breaking down. Their plane can only take off with half loads. We no longer fight wars the way we did in the last century. Those wimps that spend their days playing video games make really good drone pilots. Now tell us that our military is weak. Ronny must have been scared by Aldin when he was little because he has an unnatural fear of Muslims or anyone from that part of the world.

          • Rodney Steward

Ronny’s not scared of anything bobbpussenboots, I served my country while you chose to be a little pansy!

          • bobnstuff

You sure sound like you are scared. Your are scared of brown people, black people and I bet yellow people. That’s the only thing I can think of that would cause you to hate them so much. I bet you own a bunch of guns to make you feel safe. It’s not working is it? Since you served your country you should go see those nice folks at the VA. They might be able to help you. PTSD can be helped and from reading your rants I would say you are a prime candidate.

          • Rodney Steward

D’N bobby, U still hadn’t killed yourself over Trump yet!! And what makes U think I hate all those different colored people, I’m just talking about the ones we’re going to have to fight here on our own soil, but like Doc, you just will not accept anything against your 8 years of brainwashing from to Kenyan fraud!!

          • Rodney Steward

Your shows on, Waters World, watch how stupid the Dems are!! HA, HA, HA, ………………..

          • DrBillLemoine

OHHH, that was GOOOD!!:-( Well said and spot on. Right on the facts and relative strengths.
Consider this: drone pilots have higher ups and lawyers looking over their shoulders to judge ‘bombs away’. We need the same thing in police stations when trigger happy ex-military in units make traffic stops to prevent murders of innocent citizens!!?? Whadayathink?

          • bobnstuff

I do a lot of reading on our military. It really gets me when people try to say we are weak. I will say something in defense of our boys in blue. We have some of the finest offices you could ask for and as a rule they do a good job. The problem is there are a few that give them all a bad name. Between the local underpaid part time force that many small communities as stuck with because of money and the ego trip power hungry ones that slip by and get hired we have problems from time to time. I wish that I could say that this is a new thing but it’s been going on for a long time and it’s only because of modern news reporting that we are hearing about it. In an idea world all police would be well paid professionals who new their job and did it. My local police are almost that level. They shot their guns for the first time in a very long time in the line of duty a few weeks ago, the guy was wounded in the leg. Most of the guys on the force will go through their entire life with out ever pulling their gun.

          • DrBillLemoine

Yes, it’s tragic that officers lately are stalked and assassinated. There are in the general population a fraction of malcontents, criminals and rabble-rousers who invade peaceful demonstrations and cause mayhem. They should be found and dealt with. But we do have media reports of minorities gunned down in the streets for little or no cause, a police problem that weak minds use to justify evil deeds.
My own feeling is, like the military using drones, some lawyer or high rank officer is available to evaluate potential targets and veto harmful strikes. We should have a lawyer or top police officer likewise watching and making decisions for street units confronting traffic stops, young kids, and dicey situations to avoid harm to the innocent public.
I have been involved in police selection and screening events and know the types attracted to policing. That experience should inform chiefs about who to pick and what training is necessary–it gave me suitable solutions as an outside evaluator.

          • Helland

How many WARRIORS do we have in military command positions?

          • bobnstuff

I hope none. I want an Eisenhower not a Patten. I want someone who values peace more then war.

          • Helland

A true warrior or soldier NEVER wants war. He knows the costs. He is however willing to use his skill and knowledge to maximum effect when ordered.

          • Helland

Do you really believe everything you read about national defenses of any nation?

          • bobnstuff

Not everything but I have taken the time to look at numbers and talked to people who know what they are talking about. We are on the leading edge of warfare. We should be since we send way to much money. I have also looked at the other countries and what they have. The Russian fleet is very out of date. China have lots of people but they really done have the equipment to make a big difference. We have more equipment in mothballs then other countries have total. The way we fight wars has changed. Only twenty years ago it was boots on the ground that made a difference. In case you haven’t noticed there is now things called drones. This technology in itself has changed warfare. Just like in manufacturing technology has change things like warships. Once it took hundreds of sailors to run ships that now can do even more with just a handful of men. There are a number of good military web pages run by people who could care less about politics. Some of the new “toys” are really cool. No I don’t believe everything, only those things that make sense.

          • DrBillLemoine

You don’t seem aware that ‘dumbass’ and other epithets are 9th grade boy macho talk, not the ‘adults talk’ you seek. I’m noticing you avoid/evade tackling the relevant issues and points in favor of simple slogans and trite phrases of thoughtless masses. You do represent the common stereotype of a base Trump voter pretty well, but recognize you are still in the minority nationally.
On point, why is US Military not strong?? Who are you to define what makes a ‘man’? What Obama/Clinton mess do you think is there? See, you aren’t in this conversation at all, just spewing hate.

          • Richard Sprowl

When I took MOI (Methods of Instruction) classes in the US Army, I was taught to never use a dialog that was over the head of the lowest IQ in the room. I’m glad I didn’t talk over your head.

          • Rodney Steward

OHHH, that was GOOOD!! 🙂 Well said my friend, Doc. and bobinstuffet are so full of shi$$

          • DrBillLemoine

Issuing orders isn’t like teaching where everybody is included, every day, all year. Pity you can understand the words but have no perseverance or long term view or stamina. There’s always a tiny fraction of the class more interested in play than work–you must be one.

          • Richard Sprowl

In order for you to insult me, I first have to value your opinion, you’re not even close. If you have to ask me ‘what obama/clinton mess’ you’re beyond rational thought and just reading from the liberal/progressive script. Get over yourself, Trump will be POTUS, suck it up

          • DrBillLemoine

Better folks than you, over decades, and an entire presidency, have sought ‘mess’ and come up empty. That’s rational thought that cost taxpayers millions and valuable hearing time in congress. I don’t read liberal media, simply analyze and synthesize from my extensive training. You had to take a course on it and still don’t show ‘rational thought’. Too long in the military??? Killing doesn’t translate to rational thought as a civilian.

          • NM Leon

“I don’t read liberal media, simply analyze and synthesize from my extensive training.”

You are such a liar, Billy Boy. Do you really think anyone here would believe your parroting of libtard Dem talking points is independent? If so, you are a delusional fool as well as a pathetic pathological liar.

          • NM Leon

“See, you aren’t in this conversation at all, just spewing hate.”

I about spewed coffee on my keyboard, Billy Boy! That coming from a pathetic libtard lying troll is rich.

          • NM Leon

“Simply repeating partisan slogans won’t improve anything.”

Then why do you come here just parroting the libtard talking points, Billy Boy?

“Safe place pansies and ‘lost soul Millennials” are the wimpy kids that your cadre of “educators” developed.

          • Helland

          • NM Leon

Uh, newsflash Billy Boy Al Qaeda was already in Iraq, they were being trained by Saddam’s group at Salman Pac, Ramadi, and Fallujah. We fought and beat them in Anbar, and then Obozo abandoned our success and surrendered, allowing them to reconstitute as ISIS.

You idiot Dems have a habit of throwing away military successes and declaring surrender, look at Case-Church.

          • DrBillLemoine

Just read the news, genius. Al Qaida and ISIL are not related aside from terrorism.

          • NM Leon

Do you have to practice to be so stupid or does it come naturally?

ISIL originated as Jama’at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad in 1999, which pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda and participated in the Iraqi insurgency following the 2003 invasion of Iraq by Western forces. The group first proclaimed itself a worldwide caliphate and began referring to itself as Islamic State (الدولة الإسلامية ad-Dawlah al-Islāmiyah) or IS in June 2014. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_State_of_Iraq_and_the_Levant

            Facts:
Started as an al Qaeda splinter group. http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/08/world/isis-fast-facts/

The Islamic State (IS), also known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS or ISIL) is a Salafi militant organization in Syria and Iraq whose goal is the establishment and expansion of a caliphate. The group has its origins in the early 2000s, when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi began training extremist militants. Zarqawi’s militants became a major participant in the Iraqi insurgency during the American occupation, first under the name Jama’at al-Tawhid wa’al-Jihad and then, after swearing fealty to Al Qaeda, as Al Qaeda in Iraq. http://web.stanford.edu/group/mappingmilitants/cgi-bin/groups/view/1

          • DrBillLemoine

So Trump supporters are a splinter Republican group? I’d say they are distinct and it’s splitting hairs to call them the same, or even splinters. Nobody on the far right cares about your details, a hallmark of that genre. That makes us question what you are–a closet moderate trying to appear fundamentalist? You are far afield as my point is to highlight the rogue nature of Trump and his inner circle of advisors.
In the near future keep your eyes on the obvious corruption of Trump, the congenital crook (akin to Nixon), and his family who don’t form a blind trust for his businesses. The others are apparently distractors so we don’t notice the trillions he’s aiming to steal.

          • NM Leon

“You are far afield as my point is to highlight the rogue nature of Trump and his inner circle of advisors.”

            Really? So what was this?

“Al Qaida and ISIL are not related aside from terrorism.”

Was that a lie or just stupidity?

“That makes us question what you are”

Who is this “us”? You aren’t delusional enough to think that you are an accepted member of the community here are you? You are a troll and everyone here recognizes that instantly. You, bobnstuff, aklady are suffered here because this is an unmoderated site (other than filters). 15,000 posts and 0 votes? That’s got to be some sort of record of community contempt.

Nobody here has the least smidgen of respect for any of you trolls. Some of us amuse ourselves showcasing your lies and stupidity for all to see, but you are basically worms.

          • DrBillLemoine

Truth waits for no votes or approval. You are the one protesting it.

          • NM Leon

You wouldn’t know truth if it jumped up and bit you on the arse. You are a pathological liar.

Think about it for a second. Zero up votes means that no one, not even your fellow trolls, have ever thought that even a single post of yours out of 15,362 was worthwhile. Amazing.

Were you voted least likely to succeed in school?

          • DrBillLemoine

Yeah, yeah, yeah, to the liar everything is a lie.
I’m afraid for the western alliance with your consultancy in play. Just snow the marks with irrelevant details just off topic like your posts here and collect a check. We all know about Blackstone illegalities and their role in Iraqi problems. Eastern Europe is in more trouble than I thought. Nyet. All of NATO, comrade.

          • NM Leon

Five years, five different main communities,15,364 posts and NOT A SINGLE SOLITARY ONE OF THEM WORTHWHILE.

That is incredible, simply amazing. You get the prize as the most worthless poster ever. Not even your fellow trolls think you’re worth squat. Kind of sad and pathetic really.

          • Helland

            Rogue? In the sense of…..?

          • DrBillLemoine

Trump is ignoring presidential precedent, common sense, national security, separation of powers, and the Constitution at least. Pick any subject he tweets and I’ll show you his arrogant, above-the-law, ignorance of governance ways. Much of law and precedence is to protect the American people from this rogue. He’ll be in trouble with we, the people once he takes office and continues these deviant ways.

If Clinton would have had a backbone ,Bush war might not have happened.

          • DrBillLemoine

Clinton was only one of 100 Senators on Iraq and Afghanistan. What backbone do you imagine? Republicans behind Cheney, Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld were 4-square behind Iraq invasion, each for his own separate reasons–namely oil takeover, removal of Saddam Hussein and liberating an oppressed people. Afghanistan was first, the proximate home of Bin Laden and his training camps.

          • Retired

I am talking about Bill Clinton not having a backbone.

          • DrBillLemoine

For the reasons I stated above, Bush2 and company invaded Iraq with lies, unfounded intel and Daddy’s Bush as excuses to the world. That’s why they are all international criminals and don’t leave the country any more; they would be arrested by Interpol and tried for war crimes in The Hague International Court.
BTW it was Bush2 who failed to detain Bin Laden family members post-911 to hold hostage for reparations and justice. You’ve got a Clinton phobia.

And just how do you rate ultra-conservative Koch brothers and the Adelsons??? It’s time to repeal Citizens United law where rich men buy the government they want via donations, and we, the people, are left in the dust. That’s an American problem where you reference international institutions.

          • Helland

None of those you mentioned were collaborators in WW II, nor tried to destroy national banks.

          • DrBillLemoine

WW2??? This is the new millennium!!! We won that war and the banks are still standing. What’s your point?

          • Helland

The Bank of Scotland and silver fiascos were NOT WW II. Some capital crimes have no time limit. Soros admits he has no remorse for his actions, aiding his uncle turn Jews over to nazis.

          • DrBillLemoine

I don’t know where you got the information, but it’s a long time ago. I’d rather believe Elie Wiesel who was a Nazi hunter for half a century who never touched the man, never had your problem with Soros. Silver by contrast is a continuing problem, not with Soros, but with JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, not Soros. You are living in the past while the rest of us are in the 21 century.

If you look back a half century to condemn Soros, what are you thoughts about current criminal Trump with his bogus university, illegal foundation, claiming charitable donations that aren’t his money, subrosa dealings with Russians he won’t reveal in his tax returns closely held??? This guy will affect all of us directly and indirectly, maybe existential actions with nukes and finances, walls and trade deals.

          • Helland

Not near the smoke around Mr. Trump that there is around the Clintons. As to expectations of Mr. Trump’s financial efforts, walls, and trade deals…I expect positive results.and am more than willing to give a businessman the opportunity to succeed, that politicians have totally screwed up. As to Nukes…that is BS and you well know it. But then I don’t believe in locking up weapons in my house either. If it is the last chance I have to protect my family or self, i want it available now, a quickly moving person covers about 20 ft/sec., too fast to recover a key or open the safe. NO ONE wants to use nukes, but then if an enemy isn’t sure, he’s more likely to discuss the situation.

          • DrBillLemoine

You seem so stuck on the politics, consider this–hundreds of politicians and their operatives have looked for fire in the Republican generated Clinton smoke for a generation and found nothing serious. The sins of Mr. Trump are real and present day–Trump University and Trump Foundation, multiple bankruptcies, for starters. Either dwell on the facts or don’t but you can’t have it both ways.
We’ll see about finances, walls and deals–but Trump has walked back nearly every promise he made to you over 18 months of campaigning. Aren’t you the least bit concerned? And you conservatives were again nepotism, use of family connections, for years and now have it in spades with Trump family. Two faced?? And we still have no tax returns to see his business connections abroad that will be influencing his diplomacy. Corruption, here we come, and we already have smoke and fire from Argentina and India. What will persuade you to quit defending corruption and impeach the crook?
As to nukes, I cite Trump himself talking about using tactical nukes. Did you miss it, or simply ignore than threat to international norms and our safety. And what about nuclear proliferation in the far east with Japan and Philippines pardoned to get weapons already?
Your international talk of arms is related to your usage at home. Youth access, unstable adult access have caused much harm and death at home without gun safes. The Newtown murderer got his weapon from home after killing his mother. You got Kevlar for skin, eyes in the back of your head, or never sleep??? Need some more thinking here.

          • NM Leon

Trump U was a civil, not criminal case, Trump business have a significantly lower failure/bankruptcy rate than US businesses in general.

If past is prologue, we know that had Hildabeast been elected there would be ZERO chance that she would ever be impeached and convicted, and conversely we know for sure that if Trump turns out to be even a fraction as corrupt as Hildabeast, the Republicans will see to his removal, as we did to Nixon.

Take away the drug war/gang violence in the 8 worst (Dem controlled) inner cities and we have one of the lowest violent crime/homicide rates in the world. Virtually ALL of the firearms used in that inner city crime are already illegal. Enforce the existing laws before you even start to talk about more gun control.

          • DrBillLemoine

When will you stop deflecting reality and real problems with Trump? Oh, I forgot, that’s a feature of you alt-righties. You resemble a good poster but are always off base. You can fool others on these pages but not me.
Four bankruptcies isn’t insignificant for one owner. That’s a lot of investors bilked out of their money. It’s been reported that U.S banks won’t lend to him any more and his one big lender, Deutsche Bank, is in trouble with American banking regulators. So Trump hides his tax returns which show him borrowing from kleptocrats who’ve stolen Russia blind under protection from Putin.
Curiously you keep bringing up Clinton, who looks better and better through the right wing smokescreen propaganda as Trump digs deeper and deeper into corruption by himself, with his family and some appointees. Will you ever condemn him for lawbreaking far worse than the bogus Clinton charges? I doubt you have the analytic skills to figure it out.
Criminals will always get guns. Laws to govern the rest of the world can be passed to prevent the innocent from murder and mayhem. It’s simply common sense.

          • NM Leon

When will you recognize and accept reality?

Four bankruptcies out of 500 startups is pretty good. The SBA says that 80% of startups fail within 5 years and Dunn and Bradstreet say that 10% of those will be bankruptcies. 80% of 500 is 400 and 10% of 400 is 40, so Trump has had 1/10 the bankruptcy rate of all startups, pretty good.

“It’s been reported that U.S banks won’t lend to him any more and his one big lender,”

Pacific Life Insurance Company, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and Goldman Sachs (among others) aren’t American?

“Criminals will always get guns. Laws to govern the rest of the world can be passed to prevent the innocent from murder and mayhem. It’s simply common sense.”

What laws would those be Billy Boy?

          • DrBillLemoine

I am familiar with real estate developers. A bankruptcy isn’t unusual with aggressive work. But 4 means hundreds, maybe thousands of creditors and employees have been stiffed. That’s not ‘pretty good’ but a disaster for vendors, etc. in a chain reaction of other bankruptcies, families devastated. You are but another heartless money grubber like Trump whose real value we still don’t know from the first president-elect/candidate in decades who never released his tax returns for us to gauge just how dangerous he is for America. It’s incredible, his ego, bluster, misogyny, lying and nepotism. Yet you say not one negative word.

Ever hear of the Brady Law? That was a start, rejected for renewal by conservatives who continue to tell the lie that it means gun confiscation to put in place common sense regulations. But again you deflect from the topic.

          • NM Leon

“Ever hear of the Brady Law? That was a start, rejected for renewal by conservatives who continue to tell the lie that it means gun confiscation to put in place common sense regulations. But again you deflect from the topic.”

Really? I guess it must have been someone else post under your account that said this then, right?

“Your international talk of arms is related to your usage at home. Youth access, unstable adult access have caused much harm and death at home without gun safes. The Newtown murderer got his weapon from home after killing his mother. You got Kevlar for skin, eyes in the back of your head, or never sleep???”

That or it’s your senility, or maybe you are off your meds again.

The Brady law had statistically zero effect on gun homicides. http://content.law.virginia.edu/news/2003_spr/cook.htm

Not surprising since passing gun control laws only effects legal guns, and almost all firearms used in crimes are illegal.

Trump won, you lost, get over it. You probably won’t live long enough to see all of it, but there won’t be any new gun control laws, common sense abortion laws will likely go into effect, minorities will switch from Dem to Rep and the Democrat party will become about as relevant as the Green party.

Your time is over Billy Boy, the American people have roundly rejected you, even as the members here have done. You are a pathetic, worthless little man, parroting the talking points of the libtard Dems.

          • DrBillLemoine

It’ll be a cold day in hell when Republicans come together again. The voting majority backed Hillary, a detail you again failed to notice. And you are hardly the majority here.
You haven’t even followed Trump’s waffling on nearly every one of his campaign promises, as he’s immoral and self-promoting over the American people who will soon wake up. You are dreaming of course as Republicans switched from their party and minorities are afraid now of all Republicans.
Also, nobody limited gun control to crimes. Pay attention to details. Controls are for the innocent–today. Crooks can always get guns. Hinckley was no criminal. Neither was Root killing SC Christians. Etc.
I’m tiring of your constant smoke and mirrors, deflections, half truths and evasions. Nobody here is on your side, there are no supportive comments for lying, twisting and distorting truth, or ignoring specifics and details. Try bullying someone else with a weak mind and missing viewpoint.

          • NM Leon

Hildabeast only won the majority if you count the illegal votes. I am a conservative on a conservative forum, and do represent the majority here. The “supportive comments” are the more than 10,000 votes by fellow members here. How many do you have? Oh yeah ZERO.

You are a worthless pathetic joke.

          • DrBillLemoine

Change the context of your comments–again. I don’t need to read progressive blogs which represent my positions pretty well; I read conservative blogs for a wider viewpoint and the chance occasional truth. Can you say the same about votes on those other blogs?
BTW your lack of humility and faulty addressing of a fellow citizen (I don’t know about your Christianity) show a clear lack of upbringing, civility and concern since we’re all in the same boat. Time to repent.

          • NM Leon

You are a libtard troll on a conservative website, and not even a very good one. Most trolls get at least a few votes from other trolls. Most actually post links supporting their opinions, and sometimes those opinions are genuine and not just the parroting of library “talking points” (lies or distortions), as you do.

I feel absolutely no need to be civil to someone whose purpose is to troll, on the contrary, I enjoy showing up your lies for all to see.

          • Helland

As to professional lobbyists, I’ll agree. Any professional lobbying should be illegal.

          • DrBillLemoine

It’s two different things–lobbying and campaign financing.

          • NM Leon

Among individuals donating to outside groups:

The Adelsons $47,357,200 are #2 behind Dem Steyr $67,286,217. The Kochs $3,870,100 are #45.

George Soros $18,346,693 is #8, and his son Alexander $3,300,000 is #39 (the 2 together would be #5).

Six of the top ten donors are Dems, not Reps,

The Dems have benefited far more from Citizens United than have the Reps.

          • DrBillLemoine

More disinformation. Among the 10 largest PACs which take dark, unaccountable money, far more dollars than individuals, 7 of 10 supported Republicans. You are talking individual donors for the most part, not the Citizen’s United problem.

          • NM Leon

Stop lying, Worthless. The information is public and easily verified. http://www.fec.gov/disclosurep/pnational.do

The Dems took in $733.5 mil, $1,797,761 from PACs, the Reps took in $551.6 mil $973,774 from PACs.

Clinton took in $497.8 mil, $189,453,103 from PACs, and Trump took in $247.5 mil, $59,389,531 from PACs. https://www.opensecrets.org/pres16/select-industries

You do realize the Citizens was about Unions as well as corporations, right?

          • DrBillLemoine

You are failing to recognize the public funds of union PACs, readily identified, with dark money given by ‘anonymous’ conservative donors who don’t want you to know who they are and kill business for their companies. You very examples show that donors are unknown for Citizens United PACs.

          • NM Leon

Stop parroting libtard talking points. PACs, union or otherwise have to report their donors. Those donors are sometimes non-profits who don’t have to disclose their donors, kind of like Hildabeast taking money from the Canadian charity (and the non-profits can’t be primarily political), but that had nothing to do with the Citizens ruling.

Ever hear of “For Our Future PAC”? That’s just one of the more recent Union Super PACs.

Click on the link, then scroll down and click on a SuperPAC, then click on “donors” at the top of the page. https://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/superpacs.php?cycle=2016

The Democrats have fared far better than Republicans from the Citizens United ruling, contrary to the lies they (and you) spew. The Dems have a long history of lies. We know to the dollar how much each side has received and spent. And we know to the dollar what’s been spent on their behalf.

For instance these are some of the people/orgs who donated to Priorities USA Action SuperPAC (who raised $175,968,142 for Hildabeast). No way to tell who donated to Fair Share Action for instance, but we DO know how much they gave to Priorities.

            LIUNA Building America $3,000,000

            Plumbers/Pipefitters Union $2,500,000

            American Federation of Teachers $2,000,000

Is this how you con your contracted jobs, snow them with irrelevant stats? Citizens United means no donor revelation. Union PACs by definition are sole donors, in the open. And you still ignore my stat from open media news reports. Money spent is reported by election law requirement. Donors are not as I already reported. This is totally aside from the illegal ‘non-profits’ that were given such IRS status against the law and should now be under correction, most of them Republican-oriented. Any resemblance between my reporting and anybody’s talking points is coincidental–another fact I’ve already told you. You aren’t paying attention to either details or postings you try to counter. Take a reading comprehension course.

One vote in Congress would have stopped us from going to war?

        • AKLady2015

The white idiot, named Trump has been sued by DOJ total of 170 tumes for racial discrimination crimes with the first talking place in 1973.

He is currently being charged in New York for running an unlivensed school and running an illegal charity. To get around residential zoning restrictions, owners of Trump SoHo units were allowed to live in them only 120 days a year. The rest of the time, the units would be rented as hotel rooms, with the owners sharing in the revenue.

Trump SoHo was developed with the undisclosed involvement of convicted felons and financing from questionable sources in Russia and Kazakhstan.

          • DrBillLemoine

Presumably these business deals need watching made more difficult without his tax returns to explain. We are familiar with Trump U and housing discrimination via the media. You suggest another reason why Trump is in love with Putin and Russians unspecified. I say he’s a crook like Nixon and bears close watching by everyone. I was right about Nixon in 1968 before he took office. SoHo deal is very strange except I know about FL snowbirds.

          • AKLady2015

SoHo, which is in Manhattan was used by former officials in Kazakhstan to launder dirty money. The Financial Times reported on those facts back in October, about the 16th or 17th.

Back in August, Time reported on his many ties to Putin and Russia,

Frankly, in the end the evidence will prove that Trump is far worse than Nixon evwr dreamed of being. Mmajor banks in America stopped lending him money following his many bankruptcies. “Trump has sought and received funding from Russian investors for his business..” (Max Boot, Los Angeles Times).

Then look at Trump’s de facto campaign manager, Paul Manafort, who was a longtime consultant to Viktor Yanukovich, the Russian-backed president of Ukraine
            .

          • DrBillLemoine

Good information. The public media is onto these (your) leads. The reasons haven’t emerged yet, but probably will. It’s not just that Trump is a criminal, but he jeopardizes the entire USA with his ties and ignorance of ‘law and order’ he mentions in passing. That puts in jeopardy the entire Western Alliance.

          • AKLady2015

The DOJ has brought 170 acrions against Trump.
New York jst hit him for running an illegal charity.
New York also hit him for running an unlicensed school. Several people have brought fraud suits over Trump University.

Don’t hold your breath. With segregationist supporter Sen. Jeff Sessions nominated for Attorney General Justice won’t get involved or even drop any cases that don’t go Trump’s way.

America is being dragged back into the ice age.
All of the various possible outcomes are alarming.

Freedom on speech has already been spotlighted.
Freedom of religion is on the front burner, scorched

We are being dragged back in time with 1930s Germa
            being used as a roadmap.

          • DrBillLemoine

With all the rogue and aggressive warriors of different stripes around him and Trump’s talk of tactical nukes and bombing the hell out of people, we’ll be lucky to survive as a species. I predicted this as Trump has only family and a few hired hands around him to trust and they have no experience at governance.
About freedoms, everything this guy says is dictator-like. He wants to run the country like he does his businesses–one-man-band with everybody else just pawns. It’s a recipe for disaster, corruption and mayhem in every arena. Clearly he’s promoting his own interests with family negotiators in Syria, Argentine and Indian real estate dealings with government and business actors. It’s shameful but he has no shame. We must be ready for another Nixon–crooked before his presidency, criminality during it. Didn’t Nixon have congress when impeached? Right is right; honest is honest.

      • AKLady2015

No more, and probably much less than 8 prior years under a white idiot. It sucked for wage stagnation, low income jobs exported ….

        • Rodney Steward

What are U complaining about, U don’t work anyway, U have to stay sober to work!

    • Still using that infamous word, “folks” I see. Do you know where that word comes from? NO, didn’t think so, but as a wordsmith, I do. In the early 1800, the largest number of immigrants were German. They held plantations and lots of slaves. In TEXAS,for we had just come out of a war with the sovereign Mexico. So, we know a thing or two about well oiled organizers(Santa Ana)who tore up our Constitution, we didn’t have but 2% of slave owners. Their word for people, “volks” was/is the colorized version known as “Folks” speaking in the ’50’s, blacks generally used the word “folks” as a vulgarized version of the German “volks” talking about, either good or bad, or their white employers. It began to become so very popular with the soft coup of Barack Hussein Obama during his first bid for the Presidency and we are just now getting back to being PEOPLE again. My, have mercy on me!

      • DrBillLemoine

Why don’t you address the article and its topic instead of deflecting to a history lesson that didn’t apply to other southern States? As latecomers to LA, f’rinstance, Germans were not plantation owners and slaveholders as you say. The relevance of that and the Alamo and your contradictors–German volks talked about white employers vs German slave holding–is what?
And Pres. Obama talks about American people, not folks, FYI.

      • Johnny G.

Did you ever notice that after Mr. Obama was elected, that there were quite a number of Afro-Americans on the Television, and mass media? Coincidence?

        • bobnstuff

The same reason we elected Obama is why the increase in Afro-Americans in the media. Television is big business, they test things before they do them. Black started testing well so they got the calls. Obama is proof not the cause.

    • CharlieSeattle

Don’t worry. Trump’s next 8 years will flash right by before you can visit the graves of Obama, Holder, Clinton, Abedin, Lynch and Comey all justifiably shot for treason.

      • DrBillLemoine

Good to look ahead, but you must focus on the next 2 years. The anger and ‘Brexit-style dismay’ that half-elected Trump among blacks, Latinos, women, Muslims may reverse the tables in 2018 the way Trump is going so far–the foxes guarding the henhouses. You’ll see soon enough.

        • Rodney Steward

You’re going to see a round up of all you socialist trash that has polluted that swamp get drained!

          • DrBillLemoine

You are fantasizing Venezuela, Cuba, Russia and Turkey with ’roundup’ talk. Do you want a dictator and no personal rights soon??? Actually lobbyists, the congressional majority, business CEOs are mainly conservative and Republicans, not socialists.

          • Rodney Steward

The Dems. are the new Communist party, and may be part time muslim party if the radical black muslim brotherhood Keith Ellison is elected to the leadership roll of the DNC! Now how much lower can a Un-American party get, Billy!! This is SICK!!!!

          • DrBillLemoine

lol Are you ignoring the Trump-Putin ‘bromance’; what about new security advisor Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn eating and dealing with Putin; how about Trump favorite Manaforte advising Putin stooge president in Ukraine? That makes Trump, Flynn and Manaforte communists to me, nobody else.
I’m for a white man as DNC leader to explain Democratic economics to base Republicans led astray by a reality star.
I’d say commies Trump and company are un-American. Are you too euphoric to notice?

          • Rodney Steward

It takes real men to straighten out this country, Obama replaced the real men of our military with his yes men, and ASS Carter is a clown, just like Kerry the idiot! And want it be great to see REAL CLASS in a REAL First Lady instead of a fresh plucked tree monkey from Kenya with lipstick smeared all over it! Make America Great Again, Billy!! 🙂

          • DrBillLemoine

Obama cannot replace anybody, only fire those who are insubordinate or otherwise unfit. That’s not what a commander-in-chief does. Nobody rises to the Joint Chiefs or overseas command without military fitness of a ‘real man’. The military controls evaluations and promotions.
You, sir, are a blatant racist with your First Lady crack. Considering your prior crack about commies, you realize that commie Trump has married a commie model, right? My BS detector isn’t broken; yours….?

          • NM Leon

Ignorant as ever aren’t you Billy Boy (or are you just telling more lies)?

Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution states that the President “shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other Public Ministers and Counsels, Judges of the Supreme Court, and all Other Officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law.”

Generals and Flag Officers (Admirals), fall into the category of “all Other Officers of the United States” and require Senate confirmation.

All presidents quickly wind up with a Pentagon that does their bidding. When the General staff retires, the President replaces them with officers of his choosing (subject to Senate confirmation).

          • DrBillLemoine

Joint Chiefs do not have line command, advise only. But like any appointee are subject to the president’s approval, and dismissal. Congressional advice and consent doesn’t give them authority over these people.

          • NM Leon

ALL general and flags from 1 to 4 stars are Senate confirmed presidential appointees, not just the Joint Chiefs. Pull your head out of your arse, Billy Boy.

          • DrBillLemoine

Nobody’s interested in the minutia you reference. We’re talking here about top advisors and Lt. Gen. Flynn is a partisan.

          • NM Leon

Pay attention, Billy Boy, Flynn was never one of the Joint Chiefs, and spent his career on the operations side. Pull your head out of your arse, Billy Boy.

          • DrBillLemoine

Nobody cares. He’s a top advisor and rogue military man for Trump now.

          • NM Leon

Pay attention, Billy Boy, we were addressing your contention that “Obama cannot replace anybody, only fire those who are insubordinate or otherwise unfit.” and “The military controls evaluations and promotions.” and then addressing your dodge that somehow you were referring to the Joint Chiefs and they “do not have line command, advise only.” and then somehow skipped to Gen Flynn.

          • DrBillLemoine

Check my other post. My aim is to draw your attention to the rogue nature of Trump’s advisors so we won’t notice his stealing or ‘rigging’ takeover of trillions for himself.

          • NM Leon

So you really didn’t make those comments?

Your purpose is to distract us while Trump steals trillions?

          • NM Leon

Do you have any actual evidence Billy Boy you just spreading lies again?

Do you even comprehend the definition of “communism”?

          • DrBillLemoine

We know of Trump, family member, campaign advisors and others directly or indirectly dealing with fellow commies from Putin on down. It’s common knowledge if you watch the news.

          • NM Leon

You mean the MSM that spent the entire campaign telling lies?

“Common knowledge” won’t fly here, Billy Boy, provide links with actual evidence, not left wing opinion or stay home.

You better do some Homework as to who the Big doners were to the Clintons and their foundation.

          • DrBillLemoine

It’s a Citizens United 2-way street. YOU’D better bone up on the Kochs, Adelsons and Wall St. bankers/hedge fund managers donating to Republicans. All those CEOs and money managers are virtual dictators in their arenas, just like Trump aspires in DC. Seven of the top 10 campaign donor groups were conservative.
You are still wrongly connecting Clinton and CGI donors with corruption. Nobody but you has found any pay-to-play or wrong-doing, not congress, nor any independent commissions.

          • Retired

How many Millions did Clinton get for speaking to wall street and big bankers??? Then there was the financial crisis created by the Democrats with Freddy and Fanny.

          • DrBillLemoine

Economists have found that Bush era deregulation of Wall St., overextended betting by hedge fund managers, and underfinanced banks were to blame for the Great Recession. Obama and Clinton were not in office yet. BTW it was bank reserves, Keynesian spending, and stopping bankruptcies that saved the day–all by Obama, Bernancke and Geithner. Europe is only now learning their economic lessons.
If Wall St. backed Clinton, do you think she could lose? She’s a knowledgeable, powerful woman who people wanted to hear and they paid for it. Get over it.

What bullschitte. It was Clinton’s repeal of the Glass–Steagall Act, the Clinton expansion of the CRA, and the choice by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to allow Fannie and Freddie to bundle junk securities to sell to the Clinton deregulated banks that crashed the economy.

The Keynesian spending of borrowed money has been resonsible for the extremely slow recovery.

We won, you lost, elections have consequences, get over it.

          • DrBillLemoine

Banking agents bundled worthless mortgages, robo-signed and lo/no-documents loans that crashed the economy when corporations collapsed and fired tons of people holding mortgages. Get it straight–Bush was deregulator-in-chief, the decider.
Just remember, slow growth is better than no or negative growth. Just look to Europe which didn’t adopt recovery rules till recently, had austerity budgeting (the opposite of Keynes) and still suffers more than us.
We’re watching your minority winner, Trump. He’s actually worse than the stories of Clinton corruption. Keep your eyes on the money.

          • NM Leon

The deregulation of the banking industry culminated with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act in 1999. GW didn’t take office till 2001. Stop lying.

    • Leslie Woodhull

      Lol.

    • CharlieSeattle

      …Jeb! who?

  • bobnstuff

Trump must sell himself to the people with real power. Those same people he was calling names just a few weeks ago can make or break him and he is figuring that fact out. He sold his followers a bill of goods to get elected now he must try to sell those with power on himself, a much harder sale. He got the job with tall tales and promises he will never keep but now he needs to actually do the job which he is clueless about. Lets see if he can keep from drowning in the deep end. I fear we got another GW and it will be Pence running the government.

    • Leslie Woodhull

TRUMP doesn’t need to “sell himself ” to anyone. He’s already a very, very smart businessman & a quick learner. He doesn’t WANT establishment types! He’s wants the REAL deal. While I think Pence is a very decent man and he will be of great assistance to President Trump as he seeks Pence’s counsel, I have no doubt that President Trump will indeed be The President. He’s not as clueless as you think. He’s got a huge learning curve right now, but he’ll get it-& he’ll do it without pandering to those “who are really in power”. Besides, they’re only in power if we give them that power-and I choose not to!!

      • bobnstuff

I hope Trump can be a great president, I would be stupid not to what him to be anything but the best but I will wait and see. His history as a businessman isn’t as impressive as his supporters seem to believe. This is a person who doesn’t do his homework and has gotten in trouble more then once because of it. Atlantic City is the classic case study but even something as simple as selling steaks shows his unwillingness to think things through. I spent a number of years in the food industry and tend to be a bit of a foodie. My wife is a 4 star chief. Mr. Trump got into some financial trouble in Atlantic City and one of the companies he burned was Sysco. They are the big kid on the block in the wholesale food service. To make back some of the $750,000 Trump stiffed them for they went into the steak business with Trump. They only sold $40,000 worth total. They were lousy steaks. Had Trump taken ten minutes to talk to his cook before going into this business he could have gotten a product that would sell and been a great steak. He also blow it in the distribution system by going with the Sharper Image to sell them for him. At this time Trumps restaurants can’t buy from the largest and best supplier in the industry. He didn’t do his homework. I hope he has either learned form all his mistakes or has put in place people to protect him from himself. As I have said I truly hope and pray the Trump is the best President in history and that his ego doesn’t destroy the country.

  • Hambone

No secretary of state for Mittens! He would be another disaster just like killery. He would also constantly stab Trump in the back. Mittens is another wolf in sheeps clothing that needs to go down with the rest of the turd establishment right along with the bushes and the clintons!

    • Leslie Woodhull

No, he’s not. Mitt might be a lot of things, but he’s not a backstabber, or someone who undermines another’s authority. He would be an asset as, among many other qualities, he’s fluent in Chinese.

      • used_to_be_a_liberal

Did you forget what Romney did, and tried to do to Trump?

        • Leslie Woodhull

No, I didn’t forget, but if Trump is being gracious, so should we. Romney does have strengths, so if Trump wants to use those, we should support him.

          • used_to_be_a_liberal

Nope, Romney is a snake in the grass. He has shown his true colors, he has shown his true alliances.

          • Leslie Woodhull

I was not in favor of what Romney did. I was not in favor of what Romney said. I told him at a meeting I was in with him that what he was doing and saying about Mr Trump was wrong & that anyone else they might try to put up to run against him would only siphon votes away from Trump for Hildebitch. He asked me if I was him and had strong feelings about a candidate, would I try to do everything I could to bring the best possible person to run against that candidate so at least people would have a choice? I told him that I guess I would feel obligated to do so. And that’s what he told me he felt-he was obligated to do something if he could.

Interestingly enough, I saw him at another function last week & asked him what he thought about the election outcome. ( This was about a week afterwards. ) He said he was surprised at how much Trump had been able to do. He also said he had misjudged Trump. Now if he’s a big enough man to say that, than I guess Trump’s a big enough man to let bygones be bygones

          • used_to_be_a_liberal

Well that is your opinion, and you are of course welcome to it. I read him differently, and I not only don’t trust him, I don’t believe him. His words to me are just self-serving clap trap, he and Paul Ryan would make a good couple.

    • used_to_be_a_liberal
