Republicans push back: Debate over seeking recount in states won by Clinton

The countdown is on to see whether efforts by the left to call for recounts in this year’s presidential election actually make a difference in the final tallies.

Attention continues to swirl around Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s push for recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan – states where Donald Trump had small margins of victory over Hillary Clinton.

Some experts though question whether the same attention should be given to states Clinton won by similar margins.

For comparison the latest election tally shows Clinton winning Nevada by 26,434 votes, only slightly larger than Trump’s 24 thousand vote lead in Wisconsin.

“The margins are fairly close, not as close as we have seen historically in some past elections … though close enough that they can potentially trigger a recount,” Jeanne Zaino, political science professor at Iona College, told FoxNews.com.

I believe ALL states should be verified by independent means. This will put the voter fraud issues front and center. There are very likely 4 to 6 million illegal votes when multiple votes by a single voter, votes being cast by dead people, charlatans coercing elderly voters at nursing homes, the ballot alterations done on absentee ballots/mail in paper ballots, the the illegal ballots cast by non-citizens/illegal aliens.
This should put the reality that voter ID’s are a necessity if we want to fix the issue and level the playing field.

The Trump campaign needs to keep tabs on the challenge deadlines in these close states. If one state shows signs of switching from Trump to Hillary the Republicans should issue a recount request in all the states Hillary narrowly won.

An investigation of Virginia (felons voting, votes for Hillary solicited by the governor), Colorado (recent investigation by Sec of State found dead and illegals votes cast); Minnesota (Al Franken won dishonestly by “discovered” votes two weeks after the election 6 years ago): and Nevada (voters 6 years ago upon entering the voting booth saw that Harry Reid’s name was already checked); and California, where illegals get driver’s licenses…but, if it can be shown that the CA process is a sham, one could argue that the entire state’s votes be thrown out…would expose how rampant voter fraud is in the US, instead of the use by liberals of he statistic that only a few cases have been prosecuted.

I have to wonder if President-elect Trump will be changing his mind about a special prosecutor for Hillary after the recount bs is over? I hope he does.

How about recount all the votes in the STATES THAT HILLARY WON . NO JOKE HAVE THEM COUNTED.

  • Bob

This whole recount is nothing more than a distraction to try to delegitimize the election and a fund raiser for the Green Party. Jill Stein was irrelevant during the election cycle and she is using this to make her more so. On average during the election, she was on the evening news broadcasts about 36 seconds per week. Now she’s up to a whopping 1minute, 20 seconds. The $6M she raised in the weeks since the election is more that she raised in the year before the election, and the party gets to pocket what ever is not spent on the recount. And now that Hillary’s camp has joined in the effort, we can see her promise to accept the results is as good as her word ever is.

How about verify ALL votes in sanctuary cities. After all, Big O said if you (an illegal alien) vote, you vote as a citizen. So, voting makes you a citizen. I thought it was only citizens that COULD vote. (Must be that new math in common core.) (Or it might be the metric system.)

50 PERCENT OF THE VOTERS ARE LITERATE- 50 PERCENT ILLITERATE WHEN IT COMES TO UNDERSTANDING OUR VOTING MACHINERY. WE HAVE THE BEST IN THE WORLD FOR COUNTING THE VOTES AND KEEPING IT SAFE. THE PROBLEM IS WHO WE ALLOW TO REGISTER TO VOTE. THE EFFORT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY PUTS INTO GETTING PEOPLE REGISTERED TO VOTE IS WHAT CAUSES THE ILLEGAL VOTING. THEY TRY TO STACK THE DECK. SUCH AS VIRGINIA GRANTING 60000 FELONS TO VOTE A WEEK BEFORE ELECTION. THIS IS WHAT DONALD TRUMP CALLS ILLEGAL VOTING.

If there is any question about the accuracy of any vote no matter who won, it needs to be investigated. Since Trump made such a big deal about the elections being rigged all doubt needs to be eliminated. The honesty of our elections is something there can be no doubt about if we are to survive as a nation.

What do you have to say about hrc saying this: Hillary Clinton Said Not Accepting Election Results Was ‘Horrifying’. Now as a true democrat you are going to defend this how? I bet you would NOT be saying what you said if hrc had won. You would have jumped on the bandwagon and blast Trump for asking for a recount.

      • bobnstuff

I don’t care what Hillary said, it’s not about her anymore. It’s about proving to the people everywhere that our elect is honest and that every vote was counted. I think after the fuss Trump made about the election being rigged we need a recount and Trump should still be the one asking for it. The only reason for Trump supporters to not want a recount is if they are afraid the Trump didn’t really win. As long as the Republicans didn’t fix the election they have nothing to loose by a recount.

        • Jose

No worth a reply to someone who does not know the difference between “lose” and “loose”. Of course, you don’t care about hrc said, losers won’t listen to losers. Did I lose you or loose you. LOL

I never learned how to spell. After college I had secretaries to fix everything and now that I’m retired I’m having to learn how to spell for myself. My point is we know that the recount is very unlikely to change the out come of the election so what Hillary said or didn’t say makes no difference at this point. What Mr. Trump said does however make a difference and since he called into suspect our election system we need to clear up any doubt about the fairness of the vote and a recount is in line. Remember the world is watching us.

          • Jose

I will respond just once more because I do find your post so comical (meaning funny). First, I am astonished that you can even spell college. Apparently college did NOT teach you much about the English language like punctuation, proper sentence structure or wording (like outcome is one word). I know you learned in college how to be a super intelligent person who earned $200 to $500 an hour for just using your brain -HA!.
By the way, ever heard of spell check?

          • bobnstuff

I’ve been out of college for over forty years and when you are the boss no one cares if you can spell as long as you can sign the checks. Every word I use passes spell check. So why do Trump supporters fear a recount?

          • Jose

I do appreciate you graduating from college when you were ONLY 50 years old with a generic title and of course you were the ‘boss” which I always remind every one that “boss” only mean double “SS” O B spelled backwards so ok BOSS (SSOB) and if you do not know what SOB means oh well.

          • bobnstuff

Oh,I have had just about every title you can have in business. I have owned four different businesses and always had very loyal employees because I never asked them to do anything I wouldn’t do and I paid well. I had no problem rolling up my sleeves and lending a hand if needed and they all knew this. I also trained my people so they could do anything they wanted. A number went off and started businesses of their own and I also sold my businesses to my managers when I moved on. In a number of cases I even held the paper for them.

It’s because of having built a number of business that I can see through Mr. Trump. He is the worst type of businessman who cares for one person, himself. He has made a number of large mistakes because of his ego. Two examples are Atlantic City and Trump Air. By the time he was done with both these projects they couldn’t ever turn a profit.

You believe me to be a liberal but in fact I just want my taxes spent well. I believe we as a nation have a responsibility to take care of each other and to give a helping hand when needed. More important we also need to use our taxes wisely and not just hand out money. Just as I did in my businesses we need to help people be all they can be. At the same time I want my government to keep people safe from those bad decisions that damage peoples lives for the sake of profits. In other words I want my government to protect everyone from the Trumps in this world.

Back to my original question. Why are Trump supporters afraid of a recount.
