OREGONGOV
Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber resigned effective next Wednesday, Feb. 18, in a letter submitted to Secretary of State Kate Brown.

“I am announcing today that I will resign as Governor of the State of Oregon,” he wrote in a statement released just after noon on Friday.

“It is not in my nature to walk away from a job I have undertaken – it is to stand and fight for the cause. For that reason I apologize to all those people who gave of their faith, time, energy and resources to elect me to a fourth term last year and who have supported me over the past three decades. I promise you that I will continue to pursue our shared goals and our common cause in another venue.”

the liberal media propped up Kitzhaber before the election knowing all of this. They wanted him elected so they could take him down for someone who is more liberal and who is the first bisexual governor without an election process. If this came out before the election the Republican might have won.

A Republican elected as Gov. in Oregon? Never gonna happen!

As long as we have pot smokers coming out to vote for legalization and for the D’s and the liberal medial D’s and Socialists reporting or not reporting, there will never be a R elected as Governor.

So you are saying that after pot is legalized (and it will be nationwide eventually) and the “pot smokers’ are no longer coming out to vote in such large numbers that a Republican might be elected as governor in OR? Yeah, I don’t think so. As far as the “Liberal Media” excuse (which is getting to be a very tired cop out as news is news and anyone can report it. Although it should be reported in an unbiased way unlike what Fox News and many, many GOP leaning websites do) how do you explain why there are more R governors than D ‘s in the US? It’s up to each of us individually to investigate news reports and find the TRUE FACTS ourselves, instead of just blindly accepting the reports as gospel truth and then spreading the lies online. What other excuses can you come up? with

IMHO republicans are not elected by the voters , They are elected by non-voters, screwing the rest of our nation by not doing their duty. Hence the Republican push to get people off the voting roles. It is hard to understand how republicans can be so smart in some ways and so dumb in others. IMHO this is defined as mental illness. Which brings up the question of why folks would vote for a known mental case for public office

Hopefully Republicans will not get elected for any office. It is a bad reflection on the USA citizens and our government as a whole.

Interesting, isn’t it…that eventually those who rise to power get caught in the trap of wanting more, and one day the house of cards falls! This will happen to all who have made those wrong choices. They may not think so, but indeed they, too will fall from grace. It is either power, a chance to be a hero…even if it is a lie! In one word, it is GREED! I want to be richer, I want to be smarter, prettier, and the list goes on. Not many seem to be satisfied with what God has already given them. There is a need in these people that only God can fill. Too bad the just don’t get it!

I’m sure you had ex-Gov Sanford from S Carolina in mind when you wrote this. And Sen Larry “Wide Stance” Craig from Idaho.

Jean, it seems to me that it’s people like YOU who are the problem here. Depending on God to watch over our political system. It’s the VOTERS’ job to, as JC136 said above, do the dirty work and investigate the news for ourselves, and not take a lying anchorman’s word or a woman on FOX with nice legs.
