University of California to end lavish spending on dinners

May 30, 2017

The University of California has announced it will no longer pay for the meals of its governing board after a newspaper reported lavish spending on dinners.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported Sunday that UC President Janet Napolitano ‘s office reimbursed regents for more than $225,000 in dinner parties since 2012, including $17,600 for a banquet held the night before the board voted to raise tuition.

UC Board of Regents Chair Monica Lozano and Napolitano said in a statement that regents will “absorb their costs for board dinners” to avoid questions over how money is spent.

The newspaper reports Monday the reversal was the idea of regent Richard Blum.

Filthy, rotten, liberal, arrogant, extremist, communist sucking money for their own pleasure. Fire the whole bunch starting with Napolitano.

This POS went from being a low life thug for the Obama tribe in the White house to being a low life thief and thug at now one of the worst colleges in America, Berkeley California, and mostly thanks to her!

She is in charge of the ENTIRE Universities of Calif, not just Bezerkley.

      1. Rodney Steward says:

No wonder CAL’s school system gone to he$$, but it is California, the most immoral and UnConstitutional state in the country!

        1. MyRoseHasTHORNS says:

They give illegals FREE college. Students from all the other 49 states should SUE California because they are legal Americans and charged MORE.

          1. Rodney Steward says:

I totally agree, but I can think of a lot better states to go to college in!!

          2. MyRoseHasTHORNS says:

All college/universities that charge out of Staters more while giving illegals free ride NEED to learn about being the UNITED States of America. They need to stop stabbing their fellow citizens in the back! Sue their foundations and shut them down! Rebuild with actual TEACHING/EDUCATION not activism, blame and chaos.

          3. Rodney Steward says:

From what I’ve been seeing lately, they need to shut down half these colleges that are not teaching these kids nothing, but how to be a liberal and hate America!

US has one of poorest education systems in the modern world. https://www.compareyourcountry.org/pisa?lg=en

          1. Rodney Steward says:

Notice the date Grasshopper, almost 8 years of Obama that his destroyed our school systems, it couldn’t go anywhere but down! He wants people on his race level!! Common Core at it’s best, you seem to have been in on that yourself!

          2. mrpoohead says:

Irrelevant – we were the worst before-hand too. His level? He went to Harvard which makes him smart – they don’t let dumb niggas in for the sake of it. Duh!

My eldest would seem to be slightly above that, having recently sat a test that puts her in the top 2% of the country for English and not too bad with her maths. As a result of this she has been offered a scholarship to go to a very fancy High School – mind you she has informed me that brains skip a generation in our family so you may be right, Common Core.

          3. Rodney Steward says:

Well it’s still funny no one remembers the POS from college, and Harvard has lowered it’s standards so much it’s laughable, they now turn out activist and race baiters, snowflakes, so Opey is Irrelevant when it comes to Harvard! And I am really proud of your daughter, things like this make parents happy and proud, regardless of how they turned out! I wish her well!

          4. mrpoohead says:

Funny as; especially considering he was the first black President of the Harvard Law Review when he was there.

So I take you’ve got no substance for how he ignored Congress – well there’s a surprise. Not!

          5. Rodney Steward says:

They just lowered the standards for Harvard like they did for the White house, Harvard is no longer the tops in the system, it’s just the money they’re conning people out of! Law Review, as in activist, like his bros. Sharpton, Jackson, Wright, Bill Ayres, Van Jones, and many other socialist, what a BOY!

          6. mrpoohead says:

There are no socialists in America – conservative or Conservative. That’s it!

What makes these people think that the college kids need to be buying their expensive dinners? This has gotten crazy to spend other peoples money because it is in a never ending account they feel they can use. Where is the honesty and honor you should be providing your students to help build good character. I think this would be a firing offense and they should be replaced with people of moral responsibility. They are lucky most of us do not hold the voting rights to their job positions.
