Waiver to Exempt Children From Pledge of Allegiance

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A Florida man is upset after his niece brought home a Pledge of Allegiance waiver that asked parents to sign and return the form if they’d like their child to “be excused from reciting” it.

It read:

“I understand my rights as a parent and I request that my child, noted above, be excused from reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. This request includes standing and placing his/her right hand over his/her heart.”

In frustration, Micah Brienen took to Facebook last Thursday.

“My niece brought this home from school today…What is happening to our country?!?” he said in the post.

Say the Pledge of Allegiance is important. It never should be waived.

This looks like a cause looking for an audience. Crush it.

Maybe those who refuse to have their children say the pledge of allegiance should also be spared the privilege of voting. I can understand have a waiver, but it should be made available to parents who complain about the pledge rather than presented to all parents as an option.

Citizenship requires each citizen to agree to work for the common good of the society. I think the problem is usually with ignorant parents rather than the kids. Maybe the kids will rebel against the poor citizenship of their parents and grow up to be decent participants in our nation.

If they don’t want to accept the responsibilities of citizenship, then perhaps their citizenship should be revoked, as well. Let them move to a nice communist country which shares their ideals, like Venezuela.

God drive out evil in this country and bring back your love, law and order. Help us turn from our wicked ways and repent. IJNA

It would be great if everyone would say this short prayer several times a day. The power of prayer is a very real thing. I will try to share this everywhere I can.
(Please forgive my ignorance, but what does ‘IJNA’ stand for? Thanks)

Let’s you and I get this started and pray Jesus can make a difference using us. Where two or more are gathered JESUS says He’s there.
JESUS says if we pray His will and ask IJN, “In Jesus Name” it will be done. A=Amen IJNA
Elaine thank you for your coment. He died for all that we can be saved by His grace through our faith.

Amen, my friend … let’s do it. And thank you for the explanation of INJA. That makes the prayer complete.
