Controversial MIT economist Jonathan Gruber reportedly played key role in ObamaCare law

by  |  published on June 22, 2015

MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, who claimed the authors of ObamaCare took advantage of what he called the “stupidity of the American voter,” played a much bigger role in the law’s drafting than previously acknowledged, according to a published report.

The Wall Street Journal, citing 20,000 pages of emails sent by Gruber between January 2009 and March 2010, reported Sunday that Gruber was frequently consulted by staffers and advisers for both the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) about the Affordable Care Act. Among the topics that Gruber discusses in the emails are media interviews, consultations with lawmakers, and even how to publicly describe his role.

The emails were released as the Supreme Court prepares to rule on the legality of federal health insurance exchange subsidies.

The stupidity was Congress and the Senate not reading it. How are the American people accountable ? I never got to vote on it. I watched the whole scam unfold and was helpless. The arm twisting, blackmail, reconciliation debacle,a tax, not a tax, ect. Forced down the American people’s throat. Our nations debt of Trillions is Obama’s debt. Not mine. I have my own debt.

That is right on the money. I vote for immediate repeal of that law and the President.

Hell, most level headed hard working Patriotic Americans had already figured this out. This piece of $hit useful idiot has made his $ millions so it’s time to put this guy out of our misery. Where’s Carlos Hathcock and/or Chris Kyle when we need them????

The “Affordable Care Act” could only have been passed based on the stupidity of the voter. Those of us that work and work hard for a living, can no longer afford healthcare. How ironic, it is cheaper not to work.

The American voters were in no way involved in the legislation which enacted Obamacare (less). It was approved behind closed (locked) doors by the US Senate and the House was never involved. So only Democrats voted for Obamacare and no republicans. Even though the majority of Americans did not want the aw, Obama et all pressed on to get it approved. There are other issues that the majority of citizens did not go along with (such as sealing our border) and the congress and President have completely ignored us. It is time to vote out of office those elected officials who went against the wishes of the majority of US Citizens. since the law has a tax in it (thanks to Chief Justice Roberts) and taxes are a responsibility of the House and since the house was not involved Obamacare (less) is illegal legislation
