Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump called Sen. Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” and a “total failure” at a rally Tuesday evening in New Mexico.
“Hillary Clinton has somebody – did you ever hear of Pocahontas?” Mr. Trump said. “It’s Pocahontas – Elizabeth Warren.”
“She is probably the senator that’s doing just about the least in the United States Senate,” he said. “She’s a total failure.”
“She said she was an Indian,” Mr. Trump said, referring to Ms. Warren’s claims of Native American ancestry, which became an issue during her 2012 campaign. “She said because her cheekbones were high, she was an Indian, that she was Native American.”
