Fox News Poll: Trump leads in South Carolina

by Dana Blanton  |  published on February 18, 2016

Donald Trump still leads in the race for the Republican nomination in South Carolina, according to a new Fox News poll.

Trump captures 32 percent among South Carolina likely Republican primary voters. Ted Cruz gets 19 percent to Marco Rubio’s 15 percent. These are the only three candidates earning double-digit support.

Jeb Bush and Ben Carson tie at nine percent each, and John Kasich gets six percent.

There’s little difference among only those who say they will “definitely” vote in the GOP primary: Trump garners 34 percent, Cruz 20 percent, Rubio 15 percent, Bush 8 percent, Carson 7 percent, and Kasich 6 percent.

Some support could still shift, as 25 percent of these GOP likely voters say they could change their mind.

    While
Pope Francis is in the United States effectively advocating for a
borderless America, many people are amused by the irony of the giant
wall surrounding his own Vatican City. https://twitter.com/Conservative_VW/status/647108284965453…

  • juniemoon

We’ll find out soon enough if Trump’s poll numbers translate into votes.

    Cruz is a lying christian.

    Trump is a phony!

So is the RNC insiders like cruz, rubio, bush, kasich. I don’t include carson as he’s not going anywhere and is just a retired doctor. I call the RNC ROTTEN NASTY COWARDS as they hate Mr. Trump because he’s not an obama butt kisser like the rest of those liars.

More truth is coming out on Don Juvenile Trump. After 911 Don got in
line to collect $150 thousand dollars as a “small” business owner,
though none of his businesses were damaged. This man’s character is
“small” indeed. It is falling like a condemned demolition building. Ted
Cruz possesses the altruism to be a great two term president.
Intelligence, resolve, constitutional understanding and discernment to
    make worthy Supreme Court nominations.

Unfortunately, Cruz can not be elected as president. He knows that he is not eligible to run for president. Those military children who were born in Germany in the late 60’s and 70’s to U.S. citizens are not natural born citizens. They were naturalized and their parents had to get them a green card to bring them back to the states. It wasn’t until 1986 when a law was passed that made military children born in foreign countries a natural born citizen. That law specifically does not include children born prior to 1986. So they are not grandfathered in. If Cruz is eligible, we wouldn’t need the law that was passed in 1986. Most people are not familiar with this unless you or your family members were military that were having children overseas during that time period.

      • Seedman

Constitutional experts have debunked the frivolous charge. No reputable candidate candidate brings it up. Fortunately Ted Cruz can be the next great president of the United States of America. Hopefully for two terms!

        • Nick

It’s not being brought up yet due to timing. Democrats are waiting on who the republicans nominate. If it’s Cruz, it will come out. The attorney general is on which side? I can tell you that it’s not the republicans. Republicans will not win the White House. If that’s the chance you are willing to take, go for it.

        • Nick

Left wing media experts has quieted the charge until Cruz wins the nomination. The republican base do not want Cruz to get the nomination because of his situation. The party knows that it can not go after Cruz for it because it looks bad on the party for allowing someone who is ineligible to run for president. Therefore, the experts are quieting the natural born citizenship and the party is counting on him not doing well. If Cruz win SC, the party will be forced to bring up his natural born citizenship so there will not be any surprises during the general election. A surprise will destroy the party. Scalia’s death was no coincidence. Scalia was the only sitting Supreme Court Judge that approved the 1986 law that made military children born overseas a natural born citizen. The state department has the information on those military children prior to 1986 that had to get green cards to get back into the U.S. Right now, a democrat is in charge of the State Department and we have a democrat for attorney general. In short for the republican party, it does not look good to go with Cruz.

          • Seedman

Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen; fully qualified to hold the presidential office according to Section 2 of the Constitution. Don Juvenile knows it but as a world class bully can not resist making false verbal accusations. Contrary to popular opinion there can still be a great president. Ted Cruz is that man, whom I will vote for and gladly support!

        • Nick

I don’t know if you heard the latest news about Cruz, but in Chicago and New York there is a court filing to have Cruz removed from the states ballots.

          • Webb

Yes, I am aware of both situations…Thanks.
The only thing that will stop me from voting for Cruz in the S.C. Primary…is death!

      • Seedman

Not so. Frivolous. No reputable candidate states this debunked charge. That Don brings it up is another indication of his lack of integrity. The Washington Post has a lengthy article on it. Constitutional scholars are in agreement. Ted Cruz is the best leader for president for whom I will vote!

    • TAM44

Screw that illegal loving piece of crap cruz.

      • Seedman

Don would be smirking. Like children that refuse to eat what is healthy. I was fooled for awhile by Don. No more. I will enthusiastically be voting for Ted Cruz!
