The Chamber of Commerce is planning to spend at least $50 million on a campaign to boost establishment Republicans in primaries against Tea Party challengers, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The group’s broader aim is to help the GOP win Senate control and block Tea Party Republican candidates who might lose otherwise winnable seats to Democrats.

“Our No. 1 focus is to make sure, when it comes to the Senate, that we have no loser candidates,” Chamber political strategist Scott Reed tells the Journal. “That will be our mantra: No fools on our ticket.”

The organization has been gearing up for a more confrontational approach toward Tea Party Republicans since the government shutdown. It has already been involved in some special elections for House primaries, and is supporting Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) against his Tea Party primary foe.

Follow the money: you can see that the chamber is bought and paid for by big money Democrats and Republicans. The TeaParty appears our only hope.

  • Lerojist

Both parties are the same, in their agenda. We have alot of communists in our government.

  • gavinwca

What a waste of 50 Million, they will loose.

  • Sharon Jones

My money is on Cruz and West.

  • aurora9

If the GOP follows this path, they will lose, for sure, and the demo’s will remain in office. With so many rino’s in our government, it’s no wonder that they have made this choice.

  • Gnowark

I keep getting RNC surveys, but I guess my voice is too small (AKA the begging for $ after the survey) to be counted. I find I am in the 4-5% range for those who want the Constitution to be used, the government to be limited, and spending to be less than ‘earned’ income. Taxed Enough Already for my vote, RINOs aren’t worth a vote to defeat their same-action counterparts..

  • frankenbiker

I no longer will vote the lesser of two evils, like have been shoved down our throats by the RINOS in the house and senate. No, if a Tea Party candidate is up for election, that is who I’m voting for, and all the fat cat, money whore RINO’S can eat camel dung for all I care.

  • CTH

Just because they have, or have access to, money, they think they are something special when in fact they are stupid and self destructive. The professionals at the chamber are so stupid they do not whack side their bread is buttered.

  • Sue

If we were intelligent voters no amount of money spent on campaigns would be worth a damn. In fact the more publicity usually the worse the candidate. Perhaps more will learn SOON.

  • modernminuteman

This confirms the GOP is for big business over we the people and republican candidates need to decide are they for us and the Tea Party or are they joining the progressives to be for the rich and the NWO.

    • Gnowark

I’m afraid you already know what has been decided by most republicrats.

  • David

The chamber can go to hell

  • TonysTake

The chamber maids are low life sons and daughters of big money whores. My resignation is effective immediately.
