Rubio: ‘Real and present danger’ that Christianity will be labeled ‘hate speech’

Christianity is facing a “real and present danger” in the United States due to growing acceptance for gay marriage, Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Marco Rubio said.

“We are at the water’s edge of the argument that mainstream Christian teaching is hate speech. Because today, we’ve reached the point in our society where, if you do not support same-sex marriage, you are labeled a homophobe and a hater,” the Florida Republican told CBN News.

Rubio said the “next step is to argue that the teachings of mainstream Christianity, the catechism of the Catholic Church, is hate speech, and that’s a real and present danger.”

The comments are the latest in a series of remarks on gay marriage that have put the presidential contender under the media spotlight.

I may be mistaken but haven’t gay people been thrown off of buildings by Muslims recently? They don’t like gays either. Wheres the outrage on that??? I know doesn’t matter the demorats are targeting the Christians.

Gay marriage is way down on the list of reasons why religion is taking a big hit. Religion was first to fill the gaps of our knowledge and it held that position as long as it controlled information. Thank you Al Gore for loosening that stranglehold on us all. Increasing knowledge and access to information have been eroding religion’s undeserved status ever since the Internet.

He is right, the far left and democratic liberals are working overtime to take religion out of everything and replacing it with the secularism. They have not realized that without God you might as well say goodbye to the America that we love. This country was founded on the Judeo Christian philosophy, and God has blessed her with great prosperity. We of the Christian faith should rise up and take back America from the secular persuasion. Please pray that God will bless us with great moral leaders in this great time of need. meh

We said goodbye to the America we love two presidents ago.

I still don’t understand Why Rubio or any Christian Leaders, or an army of Christians aren’t parading, hollering. demonstrating, or doing anything about the genocide of Christians and religious minorities in Islamic countries. And why Obama is Importing hundreds of thousands of Islamic refuges from those same countries (on the taxpayer’s money) but no Christians or religious minorities from those same countries. You and Obama and the whole Christian community.turn your back your own religion and YOU WILL HAVE TO ANSWER FOR IT. Because you can’t stand up for what’s blatantly right. Instead, you stand on a platform arguing about same sex marriage and gays. Who cares about gay stuff? So, in my opinion Mr. Rubio is a coward and doesn’t have the guts to stand for what is truly right. You don’t have my vote, because we have one just like you in the White House already. We don’t need another.

We, as Christians, need to defend our right to worship the teachings of Christ…
The Liberal Left are Bigots and we need not tolerate their abuse of us.. All Freedom descends from God.. What freedoms God granted us can never be taken away… The left are a bunch of narrow minded true bigots… Why should we be silent and let the Left over run us? The Left don’t have the numbers to stop us… We as Christians are God’s Children redeemed through Grace.. If we be silent we become a throw rug for the Left… So let us be Loud for Jesus and let us keep talking, so that the Left will learn they will never shut us up! Through Christ we need not be restrained or silenced by a bunch of do nothing impudent anti-Christian Bigots… Be strong for the Lord and stand for His righteousness…
Oh yeah and I also wanted to say “FIRST!”
