AP719473332572_c0-53-3045-1827_s561x327Likely Americans voters are warming to the idea that individual states should have the right to turn their backs on the federal courts in the wake of recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings on Obamacare and gay marriage. A third of likely U.S. voters now believe that states should have the right to ignore federal court rulings if their elected officials agree with them according to a Rasmussen Reports survey released Friday.

There’s a partisan divide: 50 percent of GOP voters now believe states should have the right to ignore the federal court rulings, compared to 22 percent of Democrats and 30 percent of unaffiliated voters.

“Interestingly, this represents a noticeable rise in support among all three groups,” the poll stated.

Ignore anything and everything that comes out of a stupid ignorant brain damaged mentally challenged idiot libturd!!

  • The Supreme Court is unelected and have lifetime appointed positions, which need to end! They need Term Limits, along with Congress, and need to be elected by We, the People! No one is so good and right as to have a lifetime position to anything, except being a mother or father! The Supreme Court ruled that Blacks were property at one time, so, maybe we should have kept that law too, you think? We need a complete Cleansing within our corrupt government! Lets pray that Obama’s obituary goes to print in the very near future! That will truly be a blessed day!

Washington and Colorado are already ignoring Federal law concerning Marijuana…Why not ignore The Supreme Court Rulings…

    • Wisconsiner

Well, that’s Federal law, not a Supreme Court decision. (And most states are ignoring Federal marijuana laws, i.e., “medical” marijuana).

  • 1inamil

States should ignore the Federal Governments and Supreme Courts rulings when they are tyrannical and fascist in nature!!!

    • Wisconsiner

And who decides? Me? You? Klu Klux Klan? Christians?

      • KentS

American citizens of like mind who exhibit freedom of choice.

  • Wisconsiner

Hmm…The Supreme Court is one of the three branches of government set up in the Constitution to resolve questions about the other two branches. Oh, and the real reason for the reason for the Civil War was that those states wanted to continue slavery.

State’s rights, one of the reasons for the Civil War.

Christianity teaches that a person having a conscience should not obey the laws or orders of government which are contrary to the laws of God. This is a simple fact that was taught us as children growing up. The ability to do this was greatly enhanced when all military service was made voluntary. That is, to agree to risk one’s life for the political policies of government administrations is a purely voluntary choice. It is not something that one can be forced to do. The more amoral or immoral government has become, the more justifiable the idea of voluntary service to support or defend the policies of government is. Judging from documentary evidence of military operations overseas, it is the simple, primitive goal of survival which is the primary consideration of men and women and who volunteered to execute the policies of the war on terror over the past 14 years. This is a far cry from the purposeful, coherent strategies which used to characterize military operations
during the earlier wars of our history. Globalist morons who believe that interdependence constraining the sovereignty of nations will produce security
by limiting it are reducing the odds of survival. Diversity is the causality factor which has driven politicians to this impossible vision for the country and it will be the reason for its failure.

I believe we should be able to ignore the Federal Governments and Supreme Court rulings. Why? Because our Federal Government officials and Most of the Supreme Court are corrupt. The two Supreme Court justices that had presided over same sex weddings should have excluded themselves but wouldn’t. With their ruling they took away the rights of the states. The states issue marriage licenses not the Federal Government so who should have the right to determine who gets marriage licenses THE STATES. Our founding fathers never mean’t for the Federal Government to take away the power from the states. Our founding fathers gave the power to the citizen. They went to great lengths to give us freedom and liberty. So now one man and his corrupt ways President Obama, a lot of corrupt Federal Judges and Many Corrupt Supreme Court Judges put America as we know it in jeopardy. Their ruling are what they want without regard to the citizen and most of the time not based on the US Constitution. While the Politician, Federal Judges, Supreme Court Justices get what they want the American Citizens right get trampled upon. It’s time we get serious about the politicians we elect to office. It’s not about electing the first black person to office, it’s not about electing the first woman to office, it’s not about electing a Democratic or Republican to office, it’s about electing someone to office that has the best interest of our country at heart, it’s about protecting our freedoms and liberties for all our citizens while preserving the US Constitution. The reason America is in the shape it’s in is because the citizen voted in someone that has all of the latter values and wants to destroy the right of certain individuals, destroy the right of freedom and liberty for all citizens, destroy the US Constitution. Also Independence Day is about liberties and freedoms. If things keep going the way they are going we may not have many independence days left…we will have a dictatorship and our liberties, freedoms, and US Constitution will be thrown out the door and cease to exist. Need I Say More? PS. Have a Happy Independence Day and celebrate it safely!

Anyone who has been sworn by 2nd oath to defend the Constitution has a covenant obligation to support and defend the Constitution AS WRITTEN & RATIFIED against ANYONE, ANY TIME, WITHOUT RESERVATION. FAILURE TO DEFEND minimally comforts, aids and abets the out of control highly organized progressive insurrection and rebellion AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION and country! Article 3 Section 3. Treason includes “…adhering to enemies (of Constitution & country), giving them aid and comfort. Amendment 14 Section 3. “No (oath bound) person shall … hold any office… (who has) engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the (Constitution), or given aid or comfort to (its) enemies…” easily removes traitors from office and (14 Section 4) holds them individually to the crime and liability.

Don’t be passive… demand arrest and removal from office if an officeholder violates it!

        Bravo! Well stated.
