Freedom Caucus won’t formally endorse Ryan

Rep. Paul Ryan will proceed with plans to run for House speaker despite not securing the formal endorsement of the House Freedom Caucus.

Ryan’s decision, which came after a high-stakes meeting with the group of hard-line conservatives earlier in the day, all but ensures that the Ways and Means Committee chairman will succeed John Boehner as Republican leader at the end of the month.

“I’m grateful for the support of a supermajority of the House Freedom Caucus. I look forward to hearing from the other two caucuses by the end of the week, but I believe this is a positive step toward a unified Republican team,” Ryan said in a statement.

Well, this is obviously a moot point! Here we thought we had a movement to rid us of Obama-enabling RINOs by ridding ourselves of one of the worst – Boehner, only to be side-swiped by the Freedom Caucus who, showed us their RINO backbones by adhering to every one of Ryan’s outrageous demands to grace us with his presence as Speaker-of-the -House (sic).
I think every current Republican in the Congress, should be given a gift of a jock strap with two golf balls inside: The instructions would state: “Put where needed the most.”
What a difference 12-days make. eh?

    worse than Boehner

I never thought that there was anyone worse than Pelosi-kissing Boehner. I was certainly wrong.:(

If the Freedom Caucus will not support him he said he would not even run. Why are we already seeing the shape shifting? I would rather see Newt. Trey needs to keep doing what he is doing. Mark Levine would work.

Newt was the person I hoped would get the “nod.” Who were kidding – they’re entrenched Republican sell-outs. “Nuff said.

Ryan has been a HUGE disappointment! At first, he looked like a budget minded conservative. But now, he is catering to all those big companies in Janesville that illegally employ illegal aliens. And if Luis Gutierrez endorses him, that is enough to tell me NO GOOD CAN COME OF THIS!!
