Primed to Fight the Government

B.J. Soper took aim with his AR-15 semiautomatic rifle and fired a dozen shots at a human silhouette target. Soper’s wife and their 16-year-old daughter practiced drawing pistols. Then Soper helped his 4-year-old daughter, in pink sneakers and a ponytail, work on her marksmanship with a .22-caliber rifle.

Deep in the heart of a vast U.S. military training ground, surrounded by spent shotgun shells and juniper trees blasted to shreds, the Central Oregon Constitutional Guard was conducting its weekly firearms training.

“The intent is to be able to work together and defend ourselves if we need to,” said Soper, 40, a building contractor who is an emerging leader in a growing national movement rooted in distrust of the federal government, one that increasingly finds itself in armed conflicts with authorities.

Those in the movement call themselves patriots, demanding that the federal government adhere to the Constitution and stop what they see as systematic abuse of land rights, gun rights, freedom of speech and other liberties.

Every community in the U.S. needs to have similar training and preparation in order to let the feds know how serious this issue is and how we rate it as #1 on our list of issues!
Hopefully, there are enough patriots in the ATF/FBI/LEOs and military to end this foolish trend toward communism!

4yrs. old sounds like a good age to start teaching kids gun use and safety!

    • Robert Buenger

Robert whatever lastname, your comments make you sound like a troll.
4 yrs old is not a good age and you know that was a synde remark. But weapons safety practices are never in vain. I was 7 yrs old on a farm and my dad got me a shotgun for a reason, I thought it was a great present, Then learned it real purpose and the responsibility of correctly using it with my Dad over the next three weeks. Over the years I still here his voice everytime I’m going to pick up a weapon. Learn to respect them and know why we have them and how we use them. Family, Community and Country, with Respect, Honor and Courage. The difference between Freedom and Communism is surrender

I would rather they learn to shoot safely at a young age than learn to grow up in a homosexual pretend marriage environment at any age!

      • Robert McFate

I was a farm kid and started to learn at about that age because there were guns in the house. No age is to young if guns are present!

  • robert sanders

kevin Sullivan, maybe you should practice shooting a little better.

Practice, preparation and training is always the best policy..
The past 8 years our country has become more divided and dangerous and probably going to get worse, I hope not, I hope Trump can bring back jobs and improve the economy.

Just watch out for the Murdering ATF and FBI, they murdered Lavoy Finicum for being a patriot, and patriots are now considered terrorist under this Islamic administration while the real terrorist walk around and plot their next attack!
