Haley: Trump’s Jerusalem decision will ‘fastball’ peace, stop Israel ‘bashing’

December 11, 2017

694940094001_5674506312001_5674492174001-vsNikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, on Sunday defended President Trump’s announcement to move the American Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and recognize the holy city as Israel’s capital — arguing the move should “fastball” the Middle East peace process while warning that the international “bashing” of Israel is hurting such efforts.

“We think this is actually going to help us fastball the peace process going forward,” Haley told Chris Wallace during “Fox News Sunday.”

The announcement by Trump on Wednesday to move the embassy from Tel Aviv and to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital roiled much of the international community — including the Palestinians, whose seat of government is in east Jerusalem.

The U.S. announcement was also widely criticized by the 14 other members of the U.N. Security Council, during an emergency meeting Friday, which seems in part why Haley on Sunday continued to defend Israel, one of the United States’ closest and strongest allies.

You either believe the Scriptures about the city of Jerusalem or you do not. The simple truth is that regardless of what the nations of earth wish or decide, the ultimate decision will be made by the author of the universe, God.
If you come down on the side of the scriptural designation of Jerusalem as the capitol of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, you do well.
If on the other hand, you decide that there is no God (his book declares you to be a fool for that decision) and think otherwise, you are fighting against the one being that created the universe in six consecutive days. That universe (latest estimates by the scientific community peg it to be at least 5.8 billion light years across) according to his book he measures with a span (the distance between his extended thumb and little finger).
Ponder your relative worth under those conditions.

Imagine for a moment Fidel Castro had declared Miami as the capitol of Cuba during the Cold War and that Russia at that point bettered our military capacity. With Russia’s weight, Castro was free to do it. Can you imagine for one second that we Americans would see that step as a “fastball” to peace”? Of course not. Trump’s decision plants an impasse to Middle East peace and Haley’s pronouncement is definitively politically clueless.

False analogy. Because no ‘Castro’ Cubans have a claim to Miami. Quite the opposite I think. Palestine was a Jewish dominated ‘Roman’ province in those days. No where in their ‘Koran’ is mentioned Jerusalem. And finally, there is no such an entity as a Palestinian. They are Arabs, plain and simple. No need for Russians here.

The Palestinians whomever they are, have been pretending to negotiate for over 50 years. This should make it clear, they need to seriously negotiate, in good faith, or cease to exist. The choice is theirs.
