Paris Climate Agreement: Trump expected to pull out of pact

June 1, 2017

President Trump is expected to announce Thursday that his administration will back out of the Paris Climate Agreement that was agreed upon in 2015 by nearly 200 countries, including Obama’s administration, two sources told Fox News.

Trump, who vowed to pull out of the deal during the 2016 campaign, is expected to withdraw, but officials cautioned that there may be “caveats in the language,” leaving open the possibility that the decision is not final, a senior White House source told The Associated Press.

The accord would have forced the U.S. to reduce fossil fuel emissions by nearly 30 percent by 2025.

Word of Trump’s decision comes a day after the president met with Scott Pruitt, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Like his boss, Pruitt has questioned climate scientists who claim the Earth is warming and that man-made climate emissions are to blame.

We are already cleaner than all those other countries. Which, means we have less polution to reduce. We can’t clean up as much as other countries need to since we are already cleaner. Solar is NOT the solution. Those that push solar, probably are invested in solar. Those, writing on the internet, are not using solar power. So, what is it? You’re special because you can use electricity, but we can’t. Or, you want huge reductions in our population. Meaning us, not you, right?

The Vatican, emboldened by President Trumps “Head Slap To Science,” has decided to revoke its fairly recent and grudging acceptance that the earth revolves around the sun and declared, “The Earth is once again the center of the universe!”

    Science? …eh, schmience!

nobody said we have not polluted and trashed the earth..but? to take an innate reality of the natural climate diversity and create a new world order out of it is the biggest scam in history.they know war doesn’t work the elite wag war on the individual and national sovereignty and while where at it we run the planet and make a few hundred trillion dollars or own all the innate material wealth on the planet also.why is that not evident? biggest conspiracy in history was to convince the weak minded collective there is no conspiracy.what is the game of chess..? to conspire to win with i missing something?

OUTSTANDING POST. As many have said…..”follow the money”. As in who is making money on this hoax? Al Gore for one. And then all the “alleged green businesses” Obozzo paid off with our money by the billions and who all went out of business pocketing the cash. I just wonder how much the kickback was to the Obama’s?

This Paris Climate Accord has Obama’s crummy fingerprints all over it. The U.S. should not commit itself to a “Treaty” among nations that had not properly been cleared through the U.S. Senate with a sixty-seven percent vote. Obama knew it wouldn’t pass if the Senate had to vote on it, so he bypassed them, and in effect foreclosed on the sovereignty of the people of this nation. At the same time, the U.S. would be coughing up billions of dollars a year to finance the environmental protections of other less wealthy nations. Opt out now, Mr. Trump, and don’t look back until the deal, if necessary, can be re-negotiated in a manner that is consistent with our Constitution, not the United Nations, and not for a legacy-driven former President whose primary goal in committing us to this “Treaty” was to diminish our industrial might and the economic power of the United States of America…

    1. bobnstuff says:

You believe that this Treaty will diminish our industrial might but in fact the major industries support it as well as the C of C. How is it the business leaders think it’s a good idea but our businessman president doesn’t? Even our Secretary of State thinks we should stay in it.

      1. chw2000 says:

More BS from BSBob. World’s greates authority on EVERYTHING and yet, always wrong. You just become a bigger a$$ hole every time you open your liberal mouth.

        1. bobnstuff says:

You keep calling me a liberal but in most cases I side with the Chamber of Commerce which is not all that liberal.

          1. McFerguson says:

They didn’t use to be a liberal as they are now. They seemed to have slithered over into the loony left column during Obozo’s eight years of failed economic policies.

      2. McFerguson says:

Why is it, bob, that you always sound like your writing from Disneyland? We have a law, bob, and it says that a Treaty must be approved by a two-thirds vote of the Senate. I know you don’t believe in laws that restrict your Utopian New World agenda, but we are, after all, a nation of laws, are we not? And, yes, I believe, it was Obama’s goal to diminish the industrial might and with it the economic might of America. And the big difference between the Trumpster and the business leaders you mentioned is that the former is a populist while the latter are globalists. Even you ought to be able to see that. Trumps believes in America First! Someday when you grow up to be an adult, you’ll be able to see it, too…

        1. maxx says:

I have said this many times before but one more won’t hurt. “Every single thing Oblowhard did was done to damage and destroy America because the little pervert was raised by communists to “hate America”. He should be appropriately punished for the dozens and dozens of acts of treason against the American people. The sentence for treason is still “hanged by the neck until dead”. Oh, and I have learned liberals never grow up. They prefer to act like petulant little children looking for others to take care of them. Hence the government welfare roles are primarily liberals, socialists, progressives or whatever you call them.

      3. duncmck says:

facts are now opinions ?industries support monopoly historically .especially a global one.imo

      4. maxx says:

It’s called “political extortion”. I’m sure liberals like you know all about that. Don’t you?

        1. bobnstuff says:

I didn’t know the EXXON MOBIL was liberal or the Chamber of Commerce for that matter. Is our Secretary of State a Liberal?

      5. Webb says:

At present it is not a Treaty…
        Never approved by The Senate…
Paris Climate Agreement would cost Americans Billions…Money that is best spent on Our Environment in The USA!

        1. bobnstuff says:

Did you know that Green energy is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. In only a few years it has grown from nothing to employing 5 times as many people as work in coal. As far as the billions, we have pledged $3 billion dollars or just over half what we give EXXON MOBIL every year. Also our government is cutting the spending on the environment, I guess it must not need the money.

      6. grandmary42 says:

        It is NOT A TREATY!

        1. bobnstuff says:

It’s an Accord, One agreed to by all but two countries and now three. We are no longer leaders in the world thanks to our President. It was nice while it lasted.

      7. Olaf Thunderfoot says:

Do you have proof to back up your claims?

          1. Olaf Thunderfoot says:

Come on Bob, fake news, leftist, opinion websites are proof of nothing. Try again.

          2. Olaf Thunderfoot says:

That 3 billion dollar pledge would be better spent on the deficit.

          3. bobnstuff says:

$4.5 Billion dollars to Exxon Mobile would also be better spent on the deficit or maybe cut the military budget by forty percent so we are only outspending everyone else by four time.

          4. Olaf Thunderfoot says:

Wow, we finally agree on something, ALL subsidies to ALL corporations need to end.

    2. maxx says:

The Paris Accord is a liberal wealth sharing scam just like the U.N. and NATO have turned into. The U.N. being the worst of the two. Trump should rescind any US payments to the U.N. and also start charging the U.N. rent on the building. Might not be a bad idea to also stop allowing the U.N. staff to get away with not paying traffic and other municipal fines which they all seem to think they have a right to do. They do not have “diplomatic immunity”.

      1. McFerguson says:

Sounds about right to me, maxx…

  • Humble Servant says:

I think you are a fool if you are going to go there to be forced to reduce our emissions. This country is the cleanest country for air quality and I don’t need the crap science reports everyone will address to try and prove me wrong. I have been to many of the other countries to work and I need to suit up to work in bad quality air conditions. Most countries I have been to I need to ware my breathing protection equipment as soon as I leave the air plane. If you want to stop the air pollution problem place a dome over China. The EPA would have a hay day trying to clean up that country’s mess.

I hope President Trump stays away or tells them he won’t do anymore here in the US until China and the other countries have produced the same air quality as we have. It is time we stop cleaning up China’s mess as it drifts into California.
Who cares about the Asian nations economy. Do you know that they won’t let us into their country to work unless they want to steal your technology. I have worked with many other countries that believe they are going over there to expand their marketing and develop new customers to only have their product replicated and shipped back the the US for half what we can sell it for in six months. This is a great marketing opportunity….

    President Trump, JUST SAY NO!!!

    1. bobnstuff says:

I won’t try to prove you wrong, I will expect you to show proof you are right. You are pointing to China’s problem, the one that they are taking actions to fix. They are getting rid of there coal power plants, cutting the use of coal. Right now they are leading us in new energy technology like solar. China is also leading us on clean cars LEV’s. How can we Make America Great Again if we let the rest of the world pass us by? How can we be world leaders if we don’t even have a seat at the table?

You are complaining about our ideas being stolen but did you know that we worked on a treaty to stop some of that from happening. It won’t happen though, we pulled out of it.

      1. Olaf Thunderfoot says:

        bwahahahahahaaaa, you never show proof.

        1. bobnstuff says:

You really need to stop looking in a mirror when posting.

          1. Olaf Thunderfoot says:

I have shown proof in the past, all you post is fake news sites/

    2. Olaf Thunderfoot says:

What about all the Japanese radiation that is destroying the western coast of the United States? When will they clean up their mess here?

  • bobnstuff says:

So we will be to only non member and well will loose any say in the matter. I guess China will step up as the leader. Let’s see, we have lost a lot of respect in Europe, we are loosing our leadership in climate and we are not part of the economic growth of the Asian nations. Now all we need is a trade war with our largest trading partners.
