has received a new letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un following up on their nuclear summit in Singapore, the White House said Thursday.

Trump referred to a “nice letter” from Kim in a tweet sent early Thursday morning. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders later confirmed the letter was received on Wednesday.

“The ongoing correspondence between the two leaders is aimed at following up on their meeting in Singapore and advancing the commitments made in the US-DPRK joint statement,” Sanders said in a statement, using an acronym for the formal name of North Korea.

Trump and the White House did not reveal the contents of the letter.
