Obamacare woes widen as insurers get wrong data

October 18, 2013

Insurers say the federal health-care marketplace is generating flawed data that is straining their ability to handle even the trickle of enrollees who have gotten through so far, in a sign that technological problems extend further than the website traffic and software issues already identified.

Emerging errors include duplicate enrollments, spouses reported as children, missing data fields and suspect eligibility determinations, say executives at more than a dozen health plans. Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Nebraska said it had to hire temporary workers to contact new customers directly to resolve inaccuracies in submissions. Medical Mutual of Ohio said one customer had successfully signed up for three of its plans.

The flaws could do lasting damage to the law if customers are deterred from signing up or mistakenly believe they have obtained coverage.

How can those people dump all there private information into an Identity theft bin that is run by our incompetent government in the disguise of health care

I heard this massive failure and mess of a Software Program for the Insurance Exchanges cost taxpayers around $837 millions. Are we going to get a refund for the software writer’s failures? Has anyone even asked for a refund? Why pay for something that doesn’t live up to its requirements, or are the taxpayers being swindled out of their tax dollars again?

Much of the back-end computer work went to foreign workers. Think what that means to the privacy of your data. http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9242648/H_1B_workers_in_line_for_Obamacare_work

Beyond repair? I certainly hope so!!

I believe that if we all stand back and watch this mess fall apart, we will witness the demise of this Muslim power grab of this country. I can’t wait LOL

I would not count on it, although it is common sense. There is no cure for stupidity, and that in large part is what got these clowns elected.

That’s too much to hope for, but I certainly would love to see it happen! The only problem is that if we all do just “stand back and watch,” we might not be able to take our country back. What we really need is for everyone to join together and vote out the morons who, for some unexplained reason, follow our so-called leader blindly to hasten the demise of the US. Those who follow him need to be awakened to what is happening right under our noses. They need to get a good whiff of the moral decay he is promoting, enough to get them motivated to remove him from office, and get a strong, conservative leader in place. Only then will we have a chance to restore our country to the great, world-leading nation that it once was! I pray that God will help us to restore the United States of America, because without His blessing and help, it appears that we are doomed.

Why do you think they didn’t want to be put under the same laws they pass for us to follow? They know this is a bad law and have shoved it down our throats. It will destroy our Country as we once knew it, and they don’t care as long as they can pad their pockets and retire on a cushy pension we paid for with our tax dollars. They are all morons and unethical in their actions which has contributed to the moral decay of our Country. Kick them out of office one at a time, but let’s get rid of them all that voted to continue this atrocious piece of garbage called Obamacare.
