Dems trump GOP fundraising in battle to regain House

February 2, 2014

Democrats have built up a sizeable fundraising advantage in their attempt to take control of the House, according to an analysis of Federal Election Commission data by The Wall Street Journal.

The Journal looked at FEC data released Friday for the 52 most competitive races as rated by The Rothenberg Political Report.

It found Democratic candidates had raised $42.3 million in 2013 compared to $34.8 million by Republicans. They also had $30.9 million in the bank, $6.3 million more than the Republicans.

More important than how much money is raised is how it is spent. GOP could outspend democrats 3 to 1 and still lose if they refuse to campaign on the facts, the lies, the deceit and the fraud committed by the current administration (and the RINOs depending on which race we are talking about). The best example I can name is the Romney campaign. After the first debate, he failed at every opportunity to talk about the issues buried by the media and ignored by the GOP and he lost. McCain’s campaign was a limp noodle until Sarah Palin decided to go out and tell the truth and the campaign rebounded immediately, but too late, and he lost. These and other examples of GOP mishandling of campaigns and their obvious undermining of several conservative (tea party) candidates leads me to believe they are hand in glove with the democrats and are there to provide the illusion of two parties. As long as people donate and they retain what they see as power (money), they give lip service to conservatism but VOTE to maintain the status quo. Don’t send your money to the Republican National Committee or the Republican National Senatorial Committee. Donate directly to the candidate of your choice. I have also donated to the National Republican Congressional Committee but their use of John Boehner as a fund raiser has me wondering.

Money advantage may help in campaigns, but it doesn’t guarantee a win. If you are selling chocolate covered turds people will not buy them, no matter how cheap they are.

without some kind of change, the republican primaries will be death matches with the winners having no money and all their laundry on the Huffington post

Demoncraps always out spend during the campaign season. Yet somehow the GOP manages to survive, and in 2010 while being outspent nearly three to one, they took the house, and they’ll take the senate in 2016 with even more real conservatives taking over long established RINO seats.

Surviving is NOT winning, and with the candidates the GOP establishment supports, winning is not much better. They talk right and they vote left.
